March 21, 2005 -- A bitter custody battle has erupted between two Long Island families that both claim to be the rightful guardians — of a Chihuahua.

Their bone of contention is a year-old pooch with two names whose fate will be determined beginning today in a Mineola courtroom.

Steve says: Congress must act now, including an open letter to Tom Delay.
