He was addicted to Oxycontin, which requires a special prescription to be able to obtain the drug from local pharmacies. No call-ins and no online buys are permitted. If he is correct and there was no doctor shopping, which I'm skeptical of-then the doctor that gave him the drugs was complicit in all of this too. I've heard a number (not substantiated) of the enormous amounts of the drug he was taking and let's just say that the doctor that was writing these scripts should have a lot of explaining to do.
