And new info tells us just how close Rove was to getting a number also...

Well Scooter, with friends like you're gonna make, you won't need enemas.
really don't want to hear how close rove bush or cheney were to getting a number. they, the latter, need to be impeached and imprisoned. rove needs to be locked up for a very long time. anything else with regard to the criminals is not what we want to hear. how close they came to getting a number is meaningless. pressure needs to be exerted on scooter or anyone else who is vulnerable at this time to divulge what they know that will incriminate those in charge. i only hope they are not in some countryh club setting of a prison. let them experience what the normal criminal experiences.

Although I'm glad Scooter has his number, his good friend Karl Rove needs a number too... and then his good friend, SlickDick Cheney needs a number as well, and while we're at it his good friend Georgie Porgie Bushface needs a number also...
I say round up the lot of these f'cker$, give them the same treatment the poor people at Gitmo received, lock 'em up forever, and throw away the key...

Well, there's some good news...and even though our prisons are so overcrowded, Scooter's co-conspirators need to be locked up too.
But I wonder, our prison system is based on punishment rather than rehabilitation (thanks to reagan), and what Scooter really needs is to understand that what he did was wrong, terribly so, and that his actions have eroded the Constitutional fndtns of our nation.
And he won't. You know he won't. He will serve in a degree of comfort that 99% of prisoners do not have equal access to, and when he is released he will be treated like a hero.
Methinks he needs some more punishment.
Look, if Libby goes to prison, he will be all by himself, with no friends. We should take this into consideration before he actually has to serve any time. Let's be compassionate and "SEND A BUNCH OF THESE OTHER BASTARDS TO KEEP HIM COMPANY."
We could make him number 6 and send hm to the Village, but he's no Pat McGoohan.

Rove was close to getting his own prison number? That'll learn 'em.
I kind of feel sorry for him. He's going to be sitting in prison and finally come to the realization that he's taken the fall for Cheney. Talk about the mental punishment that will inflict, unless he's totally clueless. I doubt he'll survive through the term.
Meanwhile his boss is home free making up the rules as he sees fit.
They should all be tried for murder. The 9/11 tragedy when they ignored the threat, the killing of 3500 service personnel, the Katrina fiasco, and the untold hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that have been innocently killed.
By the time they leave office they will have the blood of close to one million people on their hands. They should be tried for war crimes and as many things as Cheney has to skirt the law.
"I am not a number; I am a free man!" But not for long...

I don't feel sorry for Scooter. The biggest hardship he'll have in "prison" is that there will be no ice cubes in his highball, nor chocolates on his pillow. And when he gets out Cheney will have something cushy lined up for him. Nothing you or I do, short of making our own bombs (which I'm sure neither of us want to do, sitemonitor) can screw this world worse than this administration already has. And their lives will still be sweeter than ours. I can only hope their lives are filled with more regret than ours.

he'll be out in now time. Cheney will either give him a large cash payout -- enough for the condo in Fiji or help him get a large book advance -- same condo. Scooter, cheney, chump and rove win, we lose.

Marcy Wheeler is one of the smartest and most diligent voices about the Libby matter. It's amazing what she has found down in the weeds.
