One gem which the audience enjoyed was the retelling of Powell and President Bush’s first encounters with Russian President Vladimir Putin. As Powell recalled it after the meeting he and Bush were reviewing events and comparing notes and seemingly they disagreed. At one point Bush looked at his Secretary of State and said (with a suitable Texas twang) “Powell, I looked into Putin’s eyes and I saw his soul” to which Powell replied: “Mr. President, I looked into President Putin’s eyes and I saw the KGB”.

I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps Putin saw the void, the emptyiness of a shell of a man, a person filled with much style but very litle substance. Not to get too existential but it could be that Putin sensed that, to paraphrase Satre, Bush's being is filled with nothingness. It would be best for the country and the world if the Democrats would do the job by impeaching at least Cheney if not Bush in order to rid this earth of just a little less evil.
I'd guess someone needs to visit the opthamoligist. Might be a waste of time though since Whore Hay is unable to see anyone's soul except his own. That's gotta hurt.

Correction on post #10. Part of the last sentence should read "... if the Democrats would do their job by impeaching..." If only these pusillanimous Democrats could find the courage to do the right thing by kicking Cheney and Bush into the street.

Personally, I'm delighted to see the rise of Russia and China. The USA is way too arrogant. If it takes a KGB president, so be it. Doesn't bother me any. Keep a few warheads pointed at Washington. Again Mr. Powell, why didn't you came out with this a whole lot earlier? Human rights groups have documented President Putin's illegal actions for a long time and you knew it. I get it that president shit-for-brains didn't know, or care, about it, but I don't buy that from a figure such as Colin Powell.

They're both cold-blooded killers but I think it says a lot that our rich little boy-man party drunk thinks he has anything in common with someone who has led as rigorously disciplined and directed a life as Putin has. If there was any "looking into the soul" going on it was certainly the reptilian gaze of Putin on our little man.
So it was Putin early on in the Bush Ptrsidency that took ans possessed GW's soul.
It happened when Bush told the press that he looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul.
So Bush is possessed by Putin.
What we need to do is take Bush to Salem, Mass.. Tie him to a board with heavy stones attatched.
Then drop him in the lake. If he gets loose and makes it to the surface, then it is a fact he is a demon. For only a possessed man could get out of it. *unless you name is Houdini)..
So if he makes it out of the water and suvives, proving he is possessed. Then we must burn him at the stake, right.? I'm sure the fundamental religious right will just love this. And I wouldn't be one to interfere in a fundamental religious rights practice of their faith. Would you interfere in this case?
Colin Powell is a disingenuous, lying sack of shit. He knew he was lying before he made his presentation of "intelligence" about Iraq's imminent threat. Why else do you think he insisted that Tenet and Negroponte (fellow liars) sit behind him during the laughable speech to the General Assembly? He lied during the Gulf War when he said Saddam had tanks lined up ready to cross the border into Kuwait. Now he says that his speech before the UN was the lowest point of his career. He also admits he lied about the tanks. What kind of person blatantly misleads and plays a key role in starting a war or protracting one and then owns up to it in a mea culpa moment? A tool.
So what was Bush's response to that? "You look in my eyes, you're gonna see an unemployment check, you keep up that talk. Q-tip."

Considering that some 20+ reporters trying to report on the Russian governments doings have been murdered the last few years, and a genocide is happening in Chechenya, which is kept under a lid, due to no reporters being allowed in, its not really a good idea, in any way, to give Putin any favor of doubt here.
