Judge Kessler has lifted the injunction on the phone records.' From Judge Kessler's Order: "Defendant in this case possesses a list of telephone numbers (the "List") that has generated much controversy and speculation. The Government has twice applied to this Court ex parte for Temporary Retraining Orders ("TROs") preventing Defendant from selling the List or from distributing copies for free. The Court granted those applications, in order to preserve the status quo, and, therefore, held a hearing to give Defendant an opportunity to respond. Upon consideration of the pleadings,the applicable statutes and case law, and the oral argument, the Court concludes the Defendant's request to quash the TROs should be granted."

I seriously doubt we will see her list(s). Most likely, she will be handsomely paid to lose/destroy them.
There will be an "A" list, a "B" list and an AC/DC list. I am lighting a candle to St. Jude of the impossible that Rove's name appear on one of them.

As I commented a few months back(when ABC backed outta their agreement with Ms. Palfrey), I doubt that we'll ever see any names from this list that we'll recognize- if we see any at all.
Ms. Palfrey's game, I believe, is blackmail. Like theWalrus said @ 19, names will be removed from the list as contributions to Ms. Palfrey's legal defense fund mount.
I hope she proves me wrong. I hope that she finds an outlet to publish the entire, un-expurgated list, and I hope she does so soon. But I doubt that this will happen.
Smart way to do it would be for some richer then sh*t power player to buy it then wait till a few months before the next Presidential Election to unleash the "bomb" on the Republicans.

I doubt Ross ever saw the entire list. I think he saw only what Palfrey and her lawyer wanted him to see.
I doubt Palfrey got into her line of work fer altruistic reasons. Stories of the "hooker with the heart of gold" are myths. They make for good movies- and bad movies. Ms. Palfrey took up her occupation to make money.
But where you and I make our money legally, she does not. The main occupational hazard fer a pimp or madame is arrest & conviction. The reason for the list- other than merely keepin' a rolodex to easily look up phone numbers- is to raise enough money to keep her out of jail, or to get her the smallest sentence possible. I've only read about this, admittedly, but these seem to be standard operatin' practices in the world of prostitution.
And before anyone else brings it up: yes, Palfrey will get a book deal that will probably allow her to live out her golden years in comfort, whether she does time or not. But do ya think she'd rather stay outta the slammer and collect $1 million or spend a coupla years inside and then start collectin' her loot?

This is the best news I've heard in a long long time. I could care less what any Dems have been up to (sex is a good thing), but how about those "family values" Republicans and their base. What naughty escapades have they been up to? Don't forget bj's are grounds for impeachement, so imagine the really kinky shit. Wonder if there was any man-on-dog sex?? Hmmm... I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but there probably isn't too much actually going on here. While I would love to see some prominent repugs show up and get some mud on themselves, I don't think there will be too much there. Why do I say this? Someone on NPR pointed out that the $200 an hour charged by the service is WAY below the market price of poontang in DC. Now this isn't to say that there weren't some big "tips" being earned, but that won't be on the books.
It boggles the mind that she was ever prevented from publishing the list.
But then on the other hand, the appearance of impropriety is as good as actual impropriety. They chose to live by the sword of family values, so it won't break my heart to see them die by it either.

Note 6 on page 7 – “At oral argument, the Government was asked whether the List contained the telephone numbers of unindicted co-conspirators. After a significant silence, Government counsel agreed that the answer to the Court’s question was “yes”….”
The Justice Dept. botched this one because they got caught trying to protect unindicted guilty parties. You should read the Memorandum Order linked to in the post. These are just two examples. There is much more hilarious stuff. Like they didn’t seize the list in the original search and they didn’t include the list in the Indictment. Amateurish crap. It would be icing on the cake if the Government counsel were a Reagent U grad. Bwahahahahahahaha
I keep thinking nothing interesting will turn up from this. Then I remember that ABC said there was nothing really interesting to report from this list, and I say, pass the popcorn, praise the ammunition.
While this madame's clientele may not have been up-market enough to be truly interesting, anything that looks like ABC was covering up would be very interesting.
I put the odds at about 75-25 boring/interesting. I'd say 50-50 except I'd expect that anyone tipped off by ABC might have cut a secret deal with madame by now.
Imagine having to do it with Cheney. Those women deserve a million dollars for that.
I'd be happy to see John Stossel (sp?) on the list.
