Mike's big news is the article on the Iraqi oil . The occupation is about oil and always been about oil. The administration had plans on the table before 9/11 and merely looking for a Pearl Harbor event to take place so they could invade. Those are facts that the EXTREME RIGHT WING MAIN STREAM MEDIA (ERWMSM) was not willing to tell you. This administration caters to the coporate oligarchy, not you or the concerns of the average citizens. The media has been complicit in the execution and occupation of Iraq.

Why are we fighting the insurgents in Iraq? Answer, the control of the oil fields and untapped resources. I believe that is the only reason. The oil companies want control of the only resouce the country has. The resources (OIL) is the only thing the Iraqis have. The oil companies hire labor from outside the country while the unemployment runs as high as 60 percent. Our troops are fighting to secure the rights of the oil companies while the war is for the resources that belong to the Iraqis.

But as this country has many millions of citizens proud of their 'independence', if Rudy, and his staggering presumption to be president, actually thinks he could get away with any dictatorial acts, I'm confident those people would 'take care' of him in an appropriate way. If he's chosen to lead his life the way he has and leave others wounded by the wayside to just sit there and be quiet, he's going to have one amazingly rude awakening very soon. Now if he doesn't get the nomination, hey, all this is moot, because then I'll be glad that folks woke up and picked someone else. A big collective 'phew' will be sighed. I sure hope so.

OK... That Orcinus link is almost too funny. The sad part is that there are viewers that eat that crap up. I keep seeing links to them from different Blogs, and every time I go there they have something good. They are becoming a must read IMHO.

I woke up this morning and had a link from Crooks and Liars in the Blog roundup. I am not some traffic freak that sweats it too much, but it is nice to occasionally get noticed. In the last 3 months I have had 3 links from the Blog roundup at C&L, 1 from Talking Points Memo and also 1 in the Blogs section of Raw Story. Considering half of what I cover is just local Connecticut stuff and the quality of all of the Blogs out there...

All of those links gave me mega traffic, but that ain't the important thing. It is the fact that it also had some local people (in the New Milford area of CT) notice that there is actually a Blog nearby to them covering this stuff and the local stuff. The dozen or so Emails from the locals in the last few months is the biggest pat on the back I could ever hope for. :)

Do they paint them w/housepaint? Dip them in pink ink? Is there pink steel? Pink gun slipcovers? I don't usually go pistol-shopping and don't receive gun catalogs, but the idea is totally absurd.

The whole thing reminds me of the hoax e-mails that go into such excruciating detail that you gotta know they're bogus.
