1) Everybody (except a few Fox News viewers) knows that Iraq wasn't behind 9/11.

2) Iraq is certainly not orchestrating attacks within the U.S. They're not even equipped to stop their own internal strife.

I can't understand why anyone would agree this would be good for the Republicans. People have seen Katrina, they already have it in their heads that Homeland Security might not be as tight as Bush led us to believe. Another attack would rest directly on their shoulders.
