Bahaha, Mitch you're so screwed!

at least we're still making progress

burnt @ 2:

at least we're still making progress

Maybe I'll put a "Progress" flash production together like that "Tubes"/Ted Stevens compilation. That shit had me rolling for two months!

Bushs' Progress....spelled F-A-I-L-U-R-E
Seems like many towns didn't lose their Idiots, they just sent them to Washington.

In the begining Bush coveted a 51st state
And the sand was without form and empty
Yet it was rich in the deep with dark oil
And the spirit of Cheney was brooding at the profit of the oil
Then said Bush "Let there be war" and there was war
And Bush separated the oil from the Iraqis
Bush created the fate of the Iraqis as dark
And the profits from oil as light

This is the lefts best weapon. There is no shortage of video evidence catching them lie their asses off and spinning like a top. Like the Daily Show. Keep exposing the true picture.
Hard for the frightwingers to refute the video proof.

This week, George W. Bush encountered what might be deemed the "reverse Chicken Little moment" of his presidency. That is, Americans have simply stopped believing his perpetual claims of sunny skies to come in Iraq.

For the four year history of Bush's favorite Iraq talking point, see:
"'We're Making Progress' - Bush's History of Iraq."

something tells me that these new adds wont be allowed to run on certian television stations.
But at least its a start in the right damn direction. Show the ppl the truth every damn day and even the non believers will have to admitt they eyes were sewn shut after 7 yrs of Bush bullshit and his band of bastards, style politics.

Kudos to Brave New Films for coming out with the truth about Mitch. He's one hefty slimebag sycophant, isn't he? When I see him squealing like a stuck pig at these hearings and on sound bites, I have to wonder if he isn't some sort of cross-dresser to boot - he does look like a scrawny old lady most of the time. He needs to ditch the rug, too because it's making him look really scary these days.

This guy, like Arlan Specter, are Bush's Bull Dogs - he drags them out by their collars to front for him like "barkers" in the old side show days. Come on guys - let's start looking a little more dignified, huh? This "dog and pony show" has been on the route one time too many and it's enough to gag a maggot at this point.

Mitch has a litany of offenses which need investigating so let's get on with it and shut his girlie trap once and for all.

Unfortunately, as impotent as Mitch is, we won't find him on the Madam's phone list - drat!

Great video. Mitch Mcchinless is the ultimate doormat for the junta.

Angry One: It's beyond not believing his lies any longer. People are beginning to regurgitate at the mere sight of him these days.

Mitch is an old, burned out fraud and needs to be removed from office when his term expires. End of story.

Malaki (sp?) is saying tonight that with regard to American troops, he can take them or leave them.

Guess this is our cue to hit the road via bush to Malaki

Why waste good money advertising in his district? They are all the same as he is.

If the opposite of pro is con, than the opposite of progress is congress. Bush’s speech is always black is white, good is bad, up is down etc. GO GET THEM CONGRESS!

nice video.. Is this video part of a series? There's gotta be enough material to make lots of videos. And why the heck isn't cheney's sage prediction regarding the insurgency and its throes?

ok, I just read my comment and it makes me sound like an abortion. I write english good... I swear

NBC News just now reported that Interpol has a database on over seven million stolen passports, but only seventeen countries use it to compare against those that travelers present. The USA does not check against the database of stolen passports. I guess Homeland Security really are depending on their gut feelings instead of taking real security steps. Take off your shoes, and throw away that baby formula, but don't you dare expect them to watch for stolen passports. What a pathetic bunch of incompetent crackpots we now have running the country!.

.

The Democrates will have to form their platform to accomodate a more Religious base.

Sounds like we may be having an "exiting" summer. Tactic guaranteed to produce more republicans by years end.

"Progress"

The republicans are the Progressive Party.

The "Can Do" party.

The "we know what we are doing because we are the original Stuff Shirt" party.

Was this the message?

What is the definition of progress? What is the definition of reality? Does this administration know the difference?

WAKE UP AMERICA.

I watched all 3 ads. Yawn. You can't get Mitch by running against Bush. You have to show that Mitch failed to direct an adequate share of Federal dollars to Kentucky. Again, if there's no withdrawal by the time the 2008 campaign comes around, then you have a pretty strong issue. Gas prices would be a stronger one, maybe.

If you can get clips of Mitch looking stupid and/or saying stupid things, that might work too, although it's really Bunning's specialty. Mitch is ugly and looks like he gets full-body Botox. That's fair game. (BTW, when I say "stupid", I mean disjointed babbling, not just things you don't agree with.)

The blogosphere is acting as if 2008 is going to be a rerun of 2006 (since the US will still be in Iraq). I don't think so. I'm starting to think they will actually nominate Giuliani and Romney or Thompson may get the VP slot. That's a powerful combo not only for redirecting the issue thrust but for redrawing the electoral map. A couple of real terrorist attacks inside the US, and you've got major problems.

Markos successfully argued that the economy as an issue was not ripe in 2006. BUt there has to be some way to keep from being held hostage to the possibility of terrorist attacks in the US that could return us, even if only temporarily, to the fear syndrome.

I don't understand why the groups that produced these ads seem to be looking for and receiving kudos. They were clumsy and annoying - really just a shot fired across Mitch's bows but nothing more. There isn't anybody at present ready to run against Mitch. Everybody will be looking for a lefty millionaire. Unfortunately, since money makes you stupid (above a certain point), that's a recipe for failure (Mark Nickolas, I'm looking at you...Lunsford for Senate, right).

You need a candidate - a real insurgent. Somebody not currently plugged in in Frankfort. Let Mitch sneer at him. Let him get earned media every week by dogging Mitch. Is it too early? Of course not. Even a mere stalking horse would establish a benchmark in the polls so if Mitch happened to go down a few points you could trumpet it. But I'm sure "McConnell" is still beating "unnamed Democrat".

These 90 degree angle ads are useless. If Mitch had an opponent they would be useful. I guess the DC Dems are waiting to see if they get a Dem governor in 3 months. But the arc of me no like war-me no like Bush-Mitch him like Bush-Mitch him like war-me no like Mitch, it's just toooo looong.

A Senator is a pork producer. Show me that Mitch's leadership position has CAUSED Kentucky to lose pork, suddenly I'm listening. Attack him where he thinks he's strong.

Otherwise, in this kind of situation, you'd like to have a candidate who can vacuum up and convert any anti-Mitch feeling. There needs to be an anti-Mitch FIGURE. It's not sufficiently clear to people that pressure on Mitch is the way to end the war.

It is clear, though, that the left blogosphere has developed its own "Clap Louder" syndrome when no-talent ads like this are hailed as evidence that the Republicans are vulnerable. People say, they did it to Daschle, let's do it to McConnell. OK, do it! But this is not it.

Every once in a while someone walks on the national stage who just needs to be punched out. Mitch McConnell is such a person. Who are the constituents supporting this man? It must be rather dismal in a district with so many ignorant fools who keep voting for this asshole.

On a lighter note, I am encouraged by the McConnell video as well as the ones it links to.
It does your heart good when, after feeling beat up for six years, you realize that people with resources are behind you. The anti-recruitment ads are awesome.

Whoever pays the voting machine consultants the most money wins!

It can't hurt, but well, the people of McConnell's district are as immune to the facts as he is. They will believe only want they want to believe. If they see this, it will go right over their heads. Also, unless this add runs 24/7 on Fox, few will see it.

Remember, the people of Kentucky were all too willing to believe a campaign attack add implying that McConnell's opponent, a black man, was after their white women. That kind of low down, low brow attack add only works on willing audiences. Anybody else with a lick of common sense and basic human decency would have been insulted and voted the other way. Some geographic areas of this country are completely culturally corrupt and backwards. Sad to say, but it's a fact.

Ya know Snowball, of all the gravatars I miss on this new comment section, I miss yours the most, I have no idea why.

Ooops, slight correction, but the same thing applies to that district though. Maybe that wasn't the McConnell race. Anybody remember who the Reptilescum was that ran that add?

Cringeworthy! I can't see how anyone still wants to be associated with The Progresser. America, where is your shame?

I think these ads are terrific! This one and the Vets ads are getting a message out NOW instead of waiting for an election. These ads have to make an impact, god knows the press isn't.

Mitch McConnell: Steve Forbes cousin? my they sure do look alike. yeechhh.

Many of the seniors in this country as well as the religious base
don't care about whats happening in Iraq. They don't want to hear the truth
they don't want to hear about casulties, withdrawing troops, defeat. They want
to hear what they want to hear and that is "progress", "things are going well".
They want the "nice Christian blond" Ann Coulter and that "dark haired dear" Malkin.
Very much like Bush himself.

This has nothing to do with geography. Just a quick ride from NYC at the foot of the Catskills Mountains you can find bards today with signs on the front that read "Whites Only". The largest percentage of hate groups in the country hail from Pennsylvania.

This has to do with a country founded on genocide, slavery, & imperialism. Fear tactics, lack of education, & xenophobia morphing every single separate ethnic group right where the government wants us, chasing our tails like rats in a cage.

uhhh,... thats BARS,... Doh!

Dear President Bush,

The people of Iraq, the American military, and the world as a whole beg of you:

Please, no more "progress" in Iraq. We can't take any more.

AAIE produced this ad, which will be running in Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s district:

Senators do not have districts. they represent entire states.
