Colbert Puts a Happy Face on the Iraq War
Colbert assumes the role of Tony Snow for the evening and tells us how very well things are really going in Iraq.

Check out these long article titles on Yahoo:

Yes, they got it from the body of the article, but originally they had normal titles. What's up with that?
Colbert beautifully illustrates the hypocrisy of this administration. I posted at News Corpse the completely contradictory statements from BushCo that Colbert is satirizing:
The Vanishing Intelligence Trick
The President pretends the findings of his own intelligence staff don't exist.
Also included is this amazing quote from CNN's Michael Ware:
Wow - You don't hear that much in the Corporate News.
I'M IN UR W∅RD, NAPPIN' ON IRAK'S SUCCESS!
What do you expect when our commander-in-chief looks and acts like Barney Fife on steroids.
CNN just confirmed the rumors flying around over there. 2,200 Marines and sailors have just had there extended in Anbar. I hate to say I told ya so.
Okay, here it is for today...I love Colbert.
That was funny as hell and right on point. Alert level brown in his pants.....that's funny.
tours extended, had their tours extended...damn.
Strawberry, I thought Anbar was where things were now going so swimingly.
pissed off Patricia, you just can't trust anything they say. Hey are you any good at linking things? There's a new video over at mickware.com in the news section I want to post for you guys but this linky thingy just ain't happening. It's an interview Ware gave to an Australian news service and it's even more candid(if that's possible) than the stuff he says on CNN. Pretty please?
Y'know, Congress keeps bemoaning the 'fact' that the only power it has to stop the Iraq war is to cut off funds. And 'god' knows, you can't 'cut off funds', and 'cut and run', 'cause our troops would end up in the middle of the desert with no MRE's, no Coke, no clean socks, etc., no 'support'.
But I think Congress should take advantage of 'the power of the purse', and ADD funds to the next Defense Appropriations bill.
They should add an item to provide thick, idiot-proof padding to all interior walls of the White House, and 24/7 psychiatric care, including straight jackets, for all inmates, and require that 'On an Emergency, National Defense/Homeland Security Basis', all provisions of the Padding Item be accomplished within seven days.
LOL.
"Code Brown"
http://www.mickware.info/Video/2007/files/7dbfb00816f4aa432ade3734d0ae68... Hey I think I did it. Here's an even more candid assesment of Iraq. This is an Australian interview by Michael Ware. Plese let me know if it works.
"Code Brown"
Heckuva job there...
Is it just me, or have the C&L videos recently all online had the right audio channel? Everything's normal when I listen to anything else on my computer, but all the QT videos here for the last few days have only had sound from the right speaker...
Ideas??
Damn... I really need to start previewing. I meant "only" not "online"
Yep strawberry it works :)
Jason, you're right. It's only coming out of the right. Never noticed before.
I think they probably have been bringing up the AlQaida scare again because the war is going terribly, and Michael Moore's movie came out, and Bush's approval ratings are in the toilet, and the corruption is being exposed from Cheney to the Attorney General to the madame, and and and whatever else they'd like to distract us from. What a mess!
I noticed these clips are no longer in stereo. What's the deal?
Quijibow @ 21:
oops, Jason beat me too it. heh
I don't know what I would do without dear Stephen - I posted an audio clip of former Reagan Treasury Official Paul Craig Roberts stating that the reason the Republicans aren't budging is because they expect a 9/11 type event to allow Bush to trigger all the emergency police state laws he's been signing. He was on the Tom Hartmann show on Air America today. There's a link to the white house press release there also. These guys are nuts!

Cobert is truly a genius!
That picture alone is classic.
