Hillbilly Report:

Canvassed Senator Mitch McConnell's neighborhood to distribute yard signs and contact supporters to End the War.

UPDATED (with above video):

If you hadn't heard, we had an incredible event yesterday in front of Senator McConnell's house! The Capitol Police greeted us as we arrived to canvass his neighborhood with yard signs cluing us in that he was at home. As the afternoon wore on, the Capitol Police approached us again and implied that the senator wouldn't leave until we left so we stayed until 11pm, and then brought out candles to keep up the spirited vigil.

You can go to IraqSummer for more information on keeping the heat on these congresspeople to get our troops out of Iraq. DitchMitch is also looking for your help in making sure Mitch McConnell does not get re-elected next year.

Entrapment! ;)

If all it takes to keep that chickenshit in his house is a protestor, I'll do a shift on his sidewalk.

We need a permanent presence there, rather than Iraq.

LibertyLover's picture

He probably slipped out the back way like the chickenhawk he is...

Cool! All these demonstrations bring attention to the cause. We the people have to get on the stick.

Saturday I put an "Impeach Cheney First" sticker on my car. Hadn't gone 2 miles till some guys in a pickup threw me the bird. (This is Oklahoma County.)

I also see a lot of people reading the message, so it's having its intended effect.

You can bet soon the Capitol Police won't be all nice and start arresting those exercising their free speech rights. But for as long as it lasts, McConnell, you get what you deserve.

This is clever. Perhaps this is the route to take if true "change" is to be effectuated?

I'll volunteer to stand in front of Arlen "Single-Bullet" Specter's house. Anybody wanna join?

GREAT!! This is exactly what we Americans should be doing, Take it to the streets and make noise.

Republicans and Democrats alike, WE ARE THE PEOPLE, The country has to be taken back from the Elite Class.
This War only helps Big Business and the Military Industrial Complex.

And make sure you notify the press when you start so they can be there and record what the "authorities" Do.

What??! And they didn't get arrested !?

Yeah... I'm kinda suspicious that the Capitol Police were all too co-operative on saying that McConnell was home and wouldn't leave. It's probably a diversion, and he's really somewhere else.

Hey: Bush's friend in Japan, Right-Wing Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has suffered a crushing defeat in upper house elections by Left-Leaning opposition!

but seriously, i think this sheds further light on the state of american democracy. the vast majority of people want us out of iraq, yet the DC'ers continue to send americans to the clusterfuck that mesopotamia is. and this spineless, fluff buggy can't even handle peaceful protest. mitch, you are quite the embarrassment.

you can send kids to die for a lie, yet you, yourself, are such a coward you have to hide and cower in your house.

keep up the vigil! GOAL: mitch never leaves his house again to do further damage the constitution.

This is the way it should be. Our government is supposed to be afraid of us, not us afraid of it or its representatives. Mitch is a sniveling coward, BWAHAHAHAHAHAH. I bet he and Elaine locked themselves in their panic room. BWAHAHAHAHAH

The protest took place in Louisville, KY -- NOT WASHINGTON, D.C.--

Why on earth would the Capitol Police be in Louisville? I was at the protesting. No police showed up.

Why are all supporters of the war such seemingly unabashed cowards?

President Evil couldn't even face one weepy, weary, weak and frail little woman. What kind of stupid fucking retard would support this brick-faced poltroon as some kind of great pillar of courage against America's Enemies™? They talk about this fucker as if he were Sun Tzu or something.

No, President Bush is more like the Anti-Sun Tzu. It's like he took "the Art of War" and then did just the opposite. "Aa'm the decidicator, and our enemies might have read this book, so they'd know our plans. So we're gonna do the exact opposite".

He probably picked it up and then got annoyed that it didn't have any pictures. I look forward to his seminal work "The Art of Fucking Everything up Everywhere as Much as is Possible". This guy can't even run an oil company for fuck sake. How do you fuck up selling oil?

Fuck him, and all who sail in him.

To his brainstem? So she's only inserting it two inches, then.

Excellent Ideal, we all should show up at these war supporters resident, and have them face us or hide. Maybe we can keep them in hiding until after the 08 election

Except there isn't a single Republican who would come out to face even a single protester, let alone a whole group of them, so I do still agree, we should all show up and just make them hide. Show the Republican people who the are really supporting, but even more I would like to see some Republican dip shits try this at Jim Webb's house. (or just about any other liberal representative for that matter)

Hopefully, the GOPers will be saturated with this sort of thing through August. Hopefully we'll see some great television spots too.

Um...hello? Somebody just pointed out above that this event was carried out in front of the Senator's house IN KENTUCKY.

So he was not there, was not trapped - none of that happened.

Maybe an update is in order.
