This Week's Senate Committee Schedule
By Nicole Belle Sunday Jul 29, 2007 9:11amJudiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) last week issued subpoenas to George W. Bush's brain, Karl Rove, and White House Deputy Political Affairs Director J. Scott Jennings and the two are due to testify on Thursday. What are the chances that the slippery Rove will actually show -- slim or none?
Also important in Judiciary this week -- given the GOP's penchant for stealing elections and the fact that we have some fairly important ones coming up -- will be hearings on S. 453, the Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2007.[..]
The legislation is authored by Barack Obama (D-IL) and -- surprise, surprise -- not one Republican is among the many cosponsors.
And given that the role of the Justice Department has morphed into it representing the White House and not the American people, the committee will also look at S. 1845, by Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), which will "provide for limitations in certain communications between the Department of Justice and the White House Office relating to civil and criminal investigations." frist again? ho hum.
"Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) last week issued subpoenas to George W. Bush’s brain, Karl Rove..."
Bush's approval rating is hoovering in the mid 20's. The Republicans were kicked out of power in both houses of congress in the last election. Are people stilling calling this guy Bush's brain? Rove is, was and always will be Bush's anus. That's where turd blossoms grow.
Subpoenas are just stupid pieces of paper right? At this rate Bush is going to start a new trend. Where everyone thinks they are above the law. (Imagine that)
And. . . . . What is it about we aren't ever leaving people don't get?

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. generals expect to need a large contingent of troops in Iraq until the middle of 2009, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq said on Monday.
I expect Rove to show up along with Santa, the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny.
Trading with the enemy at it's finest. Isn't it obvious?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Monday announced a proposed $13 billion military aid deal with Egypt and a $30 billion defense package for Israel along with plans to provide such aid to Saudi Arabia and Gulf states.

Good to see our dear Senators are doing their level best to appear as though they are working hard to *earn* their paychecks.
Do you honestly think ANY of these bills will not be vetoed by Bush?
If you don't, then you are more delusional than are his remaining supporters.

Think about Vacation, vacation, vacation.
check out my youtube page. the biggest issue today is how Bush is tring to form the North American Union with Canada and Mexico. we will soon be using the amero, instead of the dollar.
Thanks,
Lou
Rove showin' up? PLEASE! He probably wiped his ass with the subpoena. No chance in hell!
Republicans not supporting legislation to stifle illegal activity at the voting booth? That is just SOOOOO shocking!!!
And the DoJ, in my view, ain't doin' shit to favor the White House. It's Alberto Gonzales, who RUNS the DoJ, who's doin' that.
The Champ is out.
Maybe first thing this morning..
the Senate and the House should RE-read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights

Typical Bush-Republican deal making. Arm Israels enemies. Then sell Israel a $30 Billion weapons package to defend themselves.
Slick stuff. Practically approaching diabolical.

A quick summary of my observations:
A. The Mega Bases - Mega Embassy - 14 permanent bases are being built ahead of schedule.
B. Iran is now surrounded on all sides by US forces. [how could you NOT be concerned if you were Iran?]
C. Iraq and Afghanistan are a mess and self imploding.
D. Conveniently, Israel (again), *should not get involved in this conflict, leaving the US to "do the job..."
E. Iran want to sell the oil it has (oil is a very lucrative commodity right now, in case no one has noticed...) and use nuclear energy to run its infrastructure. [Would they be able to acquire weapons? - Possibly... - Shoot what if they had one right now? Do you think they would use it/them? - Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons and has never allowed an inspection of its arsenal, (violating international law)
F. The US is now divided, nobody wants to stay in Iraq and nobody wants anything more to do with Bushco - but somehow they are as powerful as ever - they get away with murder and they have taken over both parties IN ORDER TO PURSUE *1 AGENDA.

Go Bama!
So, aren't there some sort of constables or something that can go drag someone's ass out of their office and take them before congress? Are Rove and Jennings part of Cheney's government that answers only to Satan and therfore not obligated to follow the laws of the land?
This just in :
Under pressure to reach a compromise, White House counsel Fred Fielding has told the Senate Judiciary Committee that it is free to take testimony from Administration aide Karl Rove, under oath, once he is deceased.
If this is unacceptable, Fielding further offered, Rove will voluntarily testify before the Committee in the dead language of Kirin Tor, the ruling body of the magocratic societies of Dalaran, based in the Violet Citadel, before the downfall of the Kingdom of Lordaeron.
Said President Bush of the proposal, "If this isn't extending the olive branch of bipartisanship, then what is?"
