I bet you are wondering what Mitt's personal blogger thinks about his Hezbollah-health care model
By John Amato Saturday Aug 04, 2007 1:50pm
Hmmm. I can't find a response on Hugh Hewitt's blog (He wrote the book "A Mormon in the White House?) to the right wing outrage over Romney's "Hezbollah role model for U.S." on Health care. He does have a piece on Hayes' new "Cheney" book and says:
The next president has got to chose a vice president as skilled as Cheney and a team as experienced as that which was around President Bush after 9/11 if only because the scale of the responsibility is so great and the need for clear thinking so profound. The people diseased with BDS will never get this, but the country is extraordinarily blessed to have had President Bush and Vice President Cheney and their senior aides during these first few years of a very long war. Reading Hayes' book drives that point home again and again.
I'm serious. He wrote that...And then there's this one about the disaster in Minneapolis:
I disagree with his premise, but this really is Tbogg territory. Didn't Bush and Cheney exploit 9/11 to attack, invade and occupy a country that didn't attack us at the cost of a trillion dollars---the destabilization of the Middle East---breaking the Army---leaking the name of a NOC CIA agent---making torture our new mantra---habeas corpus---NSA---and the deaths and devastation on so many lives?...I could go on and on and on...

Healthcare?
We don't need no stinking Healthcare....
I might be first but what can I really say about the brain dead right.
so i was second.
That's a far cry from Romney's rhetorical crusade back in May, when he included Hezbollah in his disturbing and confused laundry list of Islamic foes. Conflating Sunni and Shiite, the guilty and the innocent, Romney claimed he has more than Osama Bin Laden in his crosshairs:
"But I don't want to buy into the Democratic pitch, that this is all about one person, Osama bin Laden. Because after we get him, there's going to be another and another. This is about Shia and Sunni. This is about Hezbollah and Hamas and al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. This is the worldwide jihadist effort to try and cause the collapse of all moderate Islamic governments and replace them with a caliphate."
For the details, see:
"Romney's Love-Hate Relationship with Hezbollah."
Didn't Bush use the bridge collapse to rail against the Democrats about some spending bill or something? I guess that's not the same thing.....
article number eleventy bajillion entered into the record in the case of sanity vs Republicans
I am so weary of these idiots.
we don't need another prez like shit-for-brains.
he does not plan on leaving office at the end of his term.
busha and cheney will just declare martial law after some phoney
made up national terrorist threat and take over the rest of the govt.
I would describe modern day politicians as pro-death.
Romney is just about as stupid as he is sleezy. A third grader can see that.
And here's a list of HEZBOLLAH’S TOP TEN ‘SOCIAL SERVICES’
"Didn’t Bush and Cheney exploit 9/11...".
Yeah. But their perfidy has been trumped every step of the way by their democratic collaborators in congress. You know, the same crowd that enabled the passage of yesterday's FISA bill.
BDS- Bush Denial Syndrome. The inability to comprehend the damage the Bush administration has visited upon civilization with it's ill advised and backwards thinking policies.
To the realist Bush and his little band of yes men are nothing short of The Keystone Cops redux.
the view from this side is just ducky....
the nuts are in charge
"The next president has got to chose a vice president as skilled as Cheney and a team as experienced as that which was around President Bush after 9/11 if only because the scale of the responsibility is so great and the need for clear thinking so profound."
The lucky person that wins in 2008 won't have much of a challenge will they, ay?
RBDS-Reverse Bush Derangement Syndrome=the inability of far right wing Republicans to come to grips with the fact that Bush has been the most corrupt, inept, wrongheaded, and disastrous president America has ever had.
-GSD
"There isn't a whisper of an argument that increased spending would have prevented this tragedy, and those making this argument even before bodies are recovered are acting in a shameful manner to exploit an awful human tragedy." - Dimwitt about the bridge collapse
Yeah, and its just so much better when the conservative gun nuts come out of the closet every time there's a school shooting to rally against the gun laws. What a dumb hick.
It was Bill O'Wannabe and Mickey Malkin who first politicized this event by lying about liberals who did it and inferring that it could have been done by terrorism. And of course, the parasitic reich-wingers got their kneepads on and lapped it up.
It could be argued that Cheney really IS good at what he does. He does do corrupton and coersion, and obfuscation very well. And if I wanted to be shot in the face I can't think of anyone better.
These people are batshit crazy! I just want to scream when people (armchair pundits) jabber about how republicans are better at national security. WHO WAS PRESIDENT WHEN 9/11 HAPPENED? I think it was Bush/Cheney/Bush! Now these idiots are pondering if we have another attack before '08 elections people will turn to the republicans again because they claim they'll keep us safe. How do they justify that if they are the ones in power when we get attacked? It's just plain crazy and if the American people fall for it again, I am going to turn into a hermit and never watch the news or vote again! I'm so tired of this insanity!
Like I said before, Mitt the Mutt is just as stupid as his Dad was. George Romney was governor of Michigan and ran for president in 1968 on the platform that he was more handsome than either Nixon or Reagan. Then George said something stupid like, "I went to Vietnam and they brainwashed me."
Since nobody wanted a Manchurian Candidate elected, he settled for a cabinet post and did Michigan the favor of never returning.
Was Hesbloah Mutt's brainwashing blunder? It had to happen, as dumb as he is.
On any given issue, I think it's good to ask yourself, what would I be saying about this if the shoe were on the other foot? What would these so-called conservatives be saying if Clinton were in office when this bridge collapsed? What would we be saying? Or when 9/11 happened? I try to give myself this little quiz frequently, to prevent the onset of stupidity. I wish Malkin & O'Reilly, et al, would, but then again, I've come to the conclusion that they lie, deliberately, for a living. We must remember: Someone pays them to lie.
I really have not read that much attempting to blame our frat-boy president for this bridge. That said, I'd really like to see more money spent on what America needs, rather than on what the well-heeled and well-connected want.
BDS=Boosh's Dysfunctional Society...ahhhh the repugs....just can't get anything right.
I don't think we have to worry about Romney.....he's imploding as we speak....The repugs will take care of him for us.And leave us with Rude boy Rudy in the gen election.
Thisis what I hate about our political dialogue...
I'm no fan of Mitt's (I live in Boston and have seen his handy work up close). But it sounds like what he's saying might merit some consideraton. It's unbeliveable politically unsaavy, but i have an iota of respect for him for bringing it up.
He clearly does not mean setting up camps to indoctrinate kids in anti semitism, or at least that's not a neccassary component ofthe idea.. The analogy comes in the helthcare diplomacy part. What if people in the ME started to associate the US with immunizing their children or saving a loved one's life? That could be a powerful tool, and it DID work for Hezzbolah inasmuch as it helped to further their goals. That their goals are repugnant doesn't mean that the idea is bad, or that we can't disucss it.
But this will get attacked from both sides and will become verbotten. And if someone brings it up again, they will be called Hezzbolah supporters. It's ridiculous.
While it hasn't been a cornerstone issue, infrastructure is very much a Democratic issue, all the way back to the New Deal.
If you've been yelling at the driver to slow down and watch the road for the last fifty miles, when he finally wraps the bus around a tree he doesn't get to say "this is not the time to point fingers".
And it seems that so many, including the addled Hugh Hewitt, are STILL suffering lingering bouts of 'CDS': Clinton Derangement Syndrome, as he and they continue (to the end of time I'm sure) to blame Clinton for this or that, even now many years after President Bill Clinton left office. Never mind that Bush, their guy - the one they recklessly picked to have this job, has 'outmaneuvered' Clinton when it comes to the blame game. History started blaming Bush before W even got started in his job back on Jan 2001, as History knew we were in for a doozy of a failed human being to hold the Prez job. Never mind for history to actually occur, it started back in time for 'blaming' and 'judging' Bush. Good, he deserves it.
Our government is secular (at least it is supposed to be), so why is it the candidate who will never be elected to any national office is the athiest candidate? Is it because the average dolt in this country is so uneducated that he can't understand anything but mystical mumbo-jumbo?
responsibility is so great and the need for clear thinking so profound,********************
I agree. After 8 yrs of the monkey boy responsibility and clear thinking would be refreshing.
Man, these freepers are retarded. Do you think someone should tell Toothless McTrailertrash that she misspelled "momma"? Wouldn't be the first time a freeper made a grammatical boo-boo on their crappy, unfunny signs. Remember the Terri Schiavo signs? LOL...
Andrew @ 29:
Maybe she was refering to MOMA, the Museum Of Modern Art. Is it in Chelsea, Manhattan?
What shocked me the most about this comment is the phrase he slipped in, "the first few years of a very long war".
How out of touch with public opinion is this guy?
Romney is an empty suit who happens to have been a terrible Governor. He left this state with over a billion and half dollar deficit. As far as I am concerned, he was horrible at governing and he has little or no record to stand on.
He knows nothing about foreign affairs.
Only a total economic collapse could change this surreal reality of idiots and anti-human f*****g bastards like the right wing scumbags wanting to kill, destroy, murder, bomb, fight terror and blindly f**k the fundamental reasons why they need to fight it in the first place. Only if every US citizens' pocket would be hit, which would led to hitting the financial and political establishment even harder, making them bankrupt and sending them on forced retirement, consequently making the reevaluation of the fundamental terror fraud goals necessary, then and only then, terrar, the USofA's intravenous drip, would need to be marginalized and left for the comic artists and Hollywood script writers to make sense of it and finish, "Terrar, the American story of human stupidity, naivety and disgrace."
Way to go, Hewitt, keep spreading that heavy-duty bullshit out there, you are right on course to realize your life's dream, becoming the next Snow or Perino, for there's nothing this administration appreciates more than continuous, sincere, ass kissing/licking.
[Deleted. Blogwhoring]
Hugh is Romney and Bush's personal caddy. There's no goalpost moving he won't try. Southern Baptists like Albert Mohler attack Mormonism all the time but he says "Democrats are doing it"
CalGal @ 19:
If it happens again..... I am outta here.
This from the same asswipe who couldn't wait to exploit a human tragedy resulting from his own incompetence while he sat on his ass in Texas. And sure we don't need to spend any money on infrastructure because it will all stay up by itself forever by magic. Is this an example of what that idiot Hewitt thinks is "clear thinking?"
So, bringing up the crumbling infrastructure in the middle of an illegal Republican Neo-con war is "indecent" eh? The truth hurts. All this can be traced back to Reagan and his ilk "getting the government" off the taxpayers back. Who the hell do you think PAID for the interstate highway system and the bridges that support it, the taxpayers of course.. And the entire system was concieved during the administration of Dwight Eisenhower who recognized the need for it.
If we weren't pissing away hundreds of TRILLIONS of dollars fighting the wrong war in Iraq, perhaps the Minneapolis 35W bridge could have been fixed in 1990 when it was first identified as structurally deficient - oh, let's see, that ws during the Bush One presidency, now wasn't it, eh?
Republican bastards. They cut the funding for infrastructure repair and then blame anyone who tries to sound a warning call.
I hope they all rot in hell, and especially their lapdog Hugh Hewitt.
I'm surprised Hugh isn't pregnant with Cheney's baby.
