At the annual Radio/Television Correspondents' Association Dinner last night, comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of Whose Line Is It Anyway? brought Karl Rove up on stage for a tribute rap song. Not as good as Colbert's roast of President Bush last year, but it's pretty damn funny to see Karl try to get down with his bad self.
"I'm MC Rove!"
Apparently Karl likes to collect stamps and tear the heads off small animals. I'm not even gonna go there…

Turdblossom's favorite dance partner David Gregory was on cable this morning talking about Rove's departure...as if he had any credibility to discuss the topic after his pathetic undulating on stage behind TB's blubbery body on this video....

People use the phrase "like watching a train wreck" all the time, but watching this "rap" video really was like watching a train wreck. I was horrified but just couldn't tear my eyes away.
I just kept wondering, "what's that black guy up there dancing next to Rove gotta be thinking?" And then just to wonder at how incredibly pathetic that these people think that was "good fun", or that somehow they were "cool", by mocking black culture circa 1990?
So do these guys think that they're somehow, like, timely? Do they know how out of date they are?

I used to enjoy the reruns of Whose Line is it Anyway on BBC America, and Colin Mochrie was always a favorite--he reminded me a lot of a friend who passed away several years ago-- but I haven't been able to watch it since Mochrie and Brad Sherwood aligned themselves with Karl Rove. Just a huge ick factor.
