Impeach the Chenguin! Teen Wolf Blitzer!

Say what you want about Kucinich, his supporters have video talent and a sense of humor. If you know of anyone else doing these kind of videos for another Democrat, please let us know in comments. Thanks.

Plutocrats beware!!!!!
Oh btw I hate to say this, but it looks like Obama gets my vote this time around. Even though he voted for the Energy Bill and is sucking on Health Care!
He's the guy... far an away the best candidate. It is up to the Democratic party to catch up to his insight and vision.
go dennis.
the one candidate that doesn't make me cringe on the issues
"Say what you want?"
Here's what I say: he's getting my vote.
What can I say, I agree with almost everything Kucinich says.
I like Dennis all right. Couldn't sit through the video.
"Say what you want about Dennis Kucinich"? Are you a progressive blog or not? Because Dennis Kucinich has all the right and reasonable and responsible answers. I don't get why more of the left doesn't take him seriously, C&L included. I supported him in 2004 and will write in his name in 2008.
Hillary scoffs when people call her Bush/Cheyey-lite. But it is exactly that, now we know that over 2 million pages of her records as first lady in the Clinton Presidential library will not be released until AFTER 08. What has she got to hide? Why so secret? Secrecy exemplifies the Bush administration. Her spin is that her competitors would mine that field and use it against her. Don't hold your breath. This woman is Bush-lite despite her protestations to the contrary. Vote for Hillary and we'll continue our current corporate fascist nightmare.

"Say what you want"? Say he should be President. Say we're going to support him. Say he (and Gravel) WILL end the war and bring ALL the troops home. Say he WON'T attack Iran.
Say, why are we supposed to feel defensive about being pro-Kucinich?
even hillary is more physically intimidating than Kucinich.
yet, Kucinich has more guts, integrity and honesty than all the others combined (and i like some of the other candidates).
in a bar fight with knife wielding monkeys i would choose to have biden in my corner (he seems like he could go toe to toe with knife wielding monkeys, call me crazy). but, save that somewhat rare occurence, i choose Kucinich to be there for the american people. too long have dems/reps begged for votes only to govern on behalf of corporations.
just think, dems, a candidate that stands up for progressive values! i know it sounds like some fictional beast, but *zoiks* he's real.
Very cute!
This guy has such big balls for a small guy.
kucinich is the only candidate who is against the patriot act, against military sanction in iran against continued war, and continued operations in iraq. he has my vote. i like obama but he is still running with the same pack and we need someone with integrity and who is going against the grain to get this country out of the fucked up situation the bush administration got us into (and if anyone says clinton did it, you are a f***ing moron...)
see for yourself
http://flickr.com/photos/kentbye/868063604/
I'm for Obama, but I confess I'm liking Kucinich more and more. (Especially when he's played by Adam West....)
i would wager that a chunk of initial bush voters (in 00) chose bush b/c of his faux-bowlegged swagger, poser-cowboy, appearance.
and i hate to say it, but i talk to people that discount Kucinich b/c of his looks/size...
to me, that is the albatross around our nation's neck.
choosing a prez candidate based on their appearance is so, well... american.
but we are better than that. we should NEVER play the "who would you rather have a beer with" effin bullshit the MSM rolls out. and, likewise, any slant on a candidates appearance needs to be met with fire.
if you were going in for brain surgery, would you choose the doctor with the best credentials and talent, or would you choose the doctor with the best hair? or, if you're a rich guy, your broker. or your lawyer, etc. break this effin ridiculous meme down, snap its legs and spit on it--for that's what it deserves.
rant: over
I would make all sorts of videos like these if I knew where to get good quality TV footage. The stuff I can pull off youtube is either crap or gets real shitty when you compress it again. If you can point me to where they get the footage I can churn these things out and would love to. If you could put together a server where people upload great quality raw news footage & commentary then all of us in the netroots with these abilities would do these things for the next election.
Simple Example: O'Reilly's Bullshit
I had to use pictures and went simple cause I don't have good actual O'Reilly footage.
"choosing a prez candidate based on their appearance is so, well… american".
Samson, your cry needs to be heard far and wide across this country, but Amnericans never learn. Oh they're very vocal about not believing in evolution and getting rid of the f****ts, but what do you do when people are stupid? That's the matter with Kansas.
What is the rap song at the end of the video? I like it.
Anyone know?
I think that we should all just refer to Cheney as Penguin or Vice President Penguin.
I like that and it really fits him like an O.J. Simpson glove.
Thanks for the vid. I had not seen that yet.
:-) LMAO!

Home of the culprits. (Not me, though: I do not have this kind of talent.)
How about that teenage girl in Lincoln Nebraska or wherever that makes those scoldy little war porn music videos? She does stuff. Peace Takes Courage.
Samson- @ 14:
Samson, I agree completly, our society needs to stop voting for style over substa....OHMYGAWD PARIS HILTON GOT A NEW OUTFIT WITH MATCHING CHIHUAHUA!!!!!!!
I voted for Dennis in the '04 primary and I probably will again, he's a tough scrapper then and now.
Why doesn't anyone post the story about when he took on big energy that was aiming to privatize Clevelands Municipal Power. he lost his job as mayor over that, later on, he proved himself to be right...that's how he ended up as a state senator, then US congressman.
Good read from Mother Jones 2003
I'll say it again......Dennis Kucinich vs Ron Paul in 08 baby!!!!
Shit. CNN is saying that there's been three huge suicide bombings in Iraq. 100 dead. 150 wounded.
I'm no film critic but I did stay at a holiday inn once. I think it was pretty good, but they should have ended it before the batman fight scene. That was too much. Plus ending a film about peace with a battle (lame though it was) just didn't seem right.
As for Dennis, I do agree with just about everything he says. I'm afraid he won't get the nomination. His supporters can't afford the donations that the other candidates get from big business and as awful as it is, you can't get elected in this country without big bucks.
Yeah, what was that song at the end and who did it. I liked it too.
strawberry @ 20:
:-)
good stuff Strawberry~
Uh Oh! here is some competition from the Ron paul camp!..........with a Kudo or two for Dennis
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgzfu_b6v44&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Equest...
It would be immoral not to vote for Dennis Kucinich.
Why are you voting for Hillary when she owes her soul to corporations?
since you dont like kucinich, who does "us" support for next president? ......I will assume "us" is you and the rest of crooks and liars admin....
(There you go "assuming" and showing yourself to be an ass by doing it) Edited by a Kucinich-supporting site team member.
Dennis is the only one that I can tell apart from the Republican party. The rest of them play politics to the point of making me sick. What this country needs is someone who has the courage to stand up and tell it like it is. That someone is clearly Dennis! I wouldn't even vote for any of the others. They are no different from what we have in the white house right now. Bush continues to trample the constitution and bill of rights with the help of the Democrats. What a pathetic bunch they are for the most part. We have to find more Dennis-like individuals to replace all of the Senators and Representatives who just gave away more of our liberties so they could get away on their break.
Chris @ 22:
interesting thought.
it would give americans a true choice, as these two are polar opposites of each other.
one, Kucinich, would be interesting in curtailing corporate power. the other, Paul, would create a power vaccuum that would turn america into a true corporatocracy.
Because Kucinich has no chance we are left to choose from a lessor of 3 triangulators and tough talkers.... Obama, Hillary and Edwards. It made my stomach turn watching none of them raise their hands when Bran Williams asked about who would join Kucinich in impeachment of Cheney. Flashback and imagine if you will that same question being directed at a field of Rethuglican contenders if they thought Clinton should be impeached, not over a constitutional crisis, but over Lewinsky. Most all of them would have raised their hands. Rethuglicans would impeach a Democrat over a consensual sexual relation with an adult intern but in matters of lies, life, liberty, death, destruction, and soaring budget deficits due in part to a lie based trillion dollar war not one Democrat would raise their hand to impeach Cheney. What a pathetic weak kneed display that was. Guess I will hold my nose next year when I pull the voting lever....once again....if I vote at all.
WTF? What's with all the Blue Gal bashing? Any regular reader of her blog knows she greatly respects Kucinich. C&L posted this video didn't they? When only 35 percent of Democrats even know who you are, any publicity is good publicity. I'd like to advise my fellow Kucinich supporters not to focus their energy on what they think the wording of Blue Gal's post means, but rather to concentrate their efforts on liberal blogs that don't even mention Kucinich. If we could get every liberal blog to post these 35 Percenter videos as C&L has done, then the MSM would at least be forced to take notice.
I've been giving a lot of thought to why dems say Kucinich is not electable. I think it is the same old problem we always have -- fear. It's the DLC message 'you have to be a centrist or you will lose the independent vote'. And that message is total BS IMHO. Whenever the dems start to pull to the right, their polling numbers go down not up.
If you compare Kucinich's positions on the issues (and his voting record backs them up) with polls separating out how independents feel about issues, they agree with him. So what's the problem?
Sure, he's an elf but dammit he's our elf! I mean, who was betting on David when he took on Goliath?
i'm gettin a little sick and tired of OUR side disparaging kooch. what the fuck is so repellent about him? surely your not so shallow as to be merely commenting on his looks. please give me another reason.
if not, let's just elect someone based on thier looks and be done with this bullshit.
strawberry @ 23:
Just another day in GOP Land. More blood on the already blood soaked hands of Bush and Cheney.
Kucinich is the ONLY candidate for President of the United States.
Dennis' supporters rock.
Samson- Says: ...said
"the other, Paul, would create a power vaccuum that would turn america into a true corporatocracy."
please explain this bizzarre statement!
Samson- @ 14:
Washington had no teeth!
Adams was bald and fat!
Jefferson wore a wig!
Madison was short!
...
Lincoln was, let's face it, gangly and ugly!
...
AbbeyHoffmansGhost @ 36:
My tissue thin support of John Edwards would evaporate like a stale turd blossom on a sunny Monday afternoon if I thought Kucinich had a chance or being the Democratic nominee. There are those who would say he would have no chance of winning in the general election and I would say to them, and Hillary does?
C&L fan @ 39:
Yes, but did they have YouTube?
Manila Ryce @ 32:
I, too, as an exhuberant Kucinich supporter, must also come to the defense of Blue Gal. I applaud all of our enthusiastic responses to the misunderstood claim of "Say what you will" by BlueGal, but anyone who frequents C&L should have seen the Sopranos/Clinton parody starring BlueGal that is unashamedly pro-Kucinich (I urge everyone who hasn't seen it to go the archives here and see it. Excellent!). So please cut her some slack...or perhaps this provocative statement was exactly what she intended...? Who knows. Also kudos to C&L for showing more Dennis Kucinich! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Let's all get the word out. Kucinich - the ONLY true progressive candidate, and the ONLY one not bowing to corporate fascism!
C&L fan @ 39:
Yes, all before television. Video didn't just kill the radio star, it killed the presidency too.
What is this business of Kooch teaming up with Ron Paul? It'd never happen.
And if you can't deal with Dennis's looks for some reason, ignore him and look at his wife, who is quite attractive, in a Julianne Moore kind of way. If you're that shallow.
Kucinich is an honorable candidate. Unfortunately, he is a little too far to the left for most voters.
This time, Bill Richardson gets my vote because he has a great energy bill and a great health care plan. Obama and Hillary are weak on energy and Edwards is weak on health care.
Los Populisto @ 1:
So why are you backing Obama? What plans does Obama have that would make him a good president? What experience does Obama bring to the presidency?
Phil @ 16:
It is The Perceptionists - Memorial Day.
My point was that the greatest Americans in history wouldn't have a prayer at getting elected in this toxic environment.
strawberry @ 41:
No, but at least the latter lived in the photographic age, and Lincoln's opponets took advantage of this and mocked the man about his looks.
----------------------------
I wanna take this opportunity to admit my guilt. In the past I wrote Kucinich off as unelectable. No longer! I'm all in fer Kucinich. He's the only candidate I agree with on all of the issues. I couldn't careless if he looked like Chaka from Land Of The Lost- he makes sense!
Ruthless People @ 35:
But,but,but...Kristol and Pollack and O’Hanlon and Petraeus say the surge is working !!
Cats R Fly Fishn @ 45:
Kucinich is too far to the left because the GOP has been successful in pushing the center too far to the right. Let Kucinich stay where he is an move the center back where it should be...in the center. I'll bet more Americans are in line with Kucinich's values then they are with Bush and Cheney's lack of values.
Cats R Fly Fishn @ 45:
How could ya right somethin' like that and leave out any references to Hillary's support of the war in Iraq?
Just wonderin'...
milquetoast @ 38:
what is bizarre about it?
when you start cancelling all govt services who takes over?
i DEFINITELY agree with paul on some issues (iraq, "war" on drugs), but i think it is crazy to assume that once the govt steps away from social programs that corporations won't step right in.
i don't know paul personally, obvisouly, and he seems like a kind and considerate man. i just run screaming into the night thinking that, if libertarian policies were actually enacted, we would literally sign our lives over to corporate masters--more so than we do already.
C&L fan @ 48:
very true.
Kucinich is the kind of talent we could use in the White House....
He certainly has the energy and the kind of personality that will give his fellow Presidential hopefuls a real run for their money....
I love that they used an RJD2 beat in the beginning of this video.
C&L fan @ 39:
That was all before TV, video, film, cameras... now we have the visual media which changed everything.
Comment 52...what do you mean by too far left of too many voters?
Hahahahah! That was awesome. I'm so happy he's a rep. in my state, if not my district.
Samson- @ 53:
Just to follow up- Paul would like power devolve back to the States. Okay...
In China, the national government has passed off much of its oversight to the provincial governments, who, in turn, aren't all capable of actin' on their new-found responsibilities. Thus we see toys with lead paint, toothpaste containin' anti-freeze, flip-flops that burn the wearers feet, poisoned pet food...
That's where a Paul Presidency would lead this country.
Please Dennis, don't ever pull out of this fight. You are indeed the man.
Andy K @ 52:
[Deleted. Off topic]
Kucinich has had my vote forever. I live in a crazy republican area, and I get a lot of dirty looks from the "Kucinich for President" bumper sticker on my car. I enjoy the dirty looks though.
Need bumper sticker, Kucinich for pres of DFH/DFL party
BlueGal, I say Vote for Dennis Kucinich!!!!
Los Populisto @ 1:
You are a coward. What are we doing here in the blogosphere if everyone is just going to continue supporting the big money, media candidates? Does "Home of the Brave" mean anything anymore!!! There's nothing brave about doing what most think is playing it safe. Make your vote count, support Dennis, spread the word!!!
How many of you out there knew that Dennis survived an assasination attempt while mayor of Cleveland in the late 70's? He held up his promise to the voters not to sell out to big business and big business went after him big time. He's a courageous leader! A true American. Vote for Dennis!!!
In the political equivalent of a “blind taste test” taken by more than 67,000 participants, an independent website surveying public attitudes on various issues is reporting that Ohio Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is the first choice of a phenomenal 53% of respondents.
Dennis is in line with most Americans. poll news here
Yeah, let's run a candidate who wants to create a Department of Peace. Seriously, I like the guy too. I'd love to have a beer with him. As we've painfully established over the last 7 years, that doesn't make someone necessarily sane or credible.
I like this guy
Kucinich is the only Dem worth voting for...
steve davis Says:
Yeah, let’s run a candidate who wants to create a Department of Peace. Seriously, I like the guy too. I’d love to have a beer with him. As we’ve painfully established over the last 7 years, that doesn’t make someone necessarily sane or credible.
Who do you want to bomb Steve?
steve davis @ 70:
I don't think you could've picked a worse topic than Kucinich's proposed Department to include in a paragraph challengin' the man's sanity.
Let's see- attacked by Islamic (Sunni) fundamentalists hq'd in Afghanistan, fightin' a war against those fundamentalists in a nation whose government- then, a secularist, and now Shi'ite - showed not only a lack of friendship to the fundamentalists but shared a high level of enmity with them.
Do ya go around challengin' HRC's sanity? Her credibility?
"Say what you want about Dennis Kucinich..."
Hooray, Fox News-style subtle jabs trying to erode his credibility!
steve davis @ 70:
The Department of Peace was an idea first proposed by George Washington as a kind of counterbalance to the Department of War. It is only now being revived by Kucinich. Since it was originally his idea, do you then consider George Washington to be insane and lacking in credibility?
I am so fed up with politics as usual, even from all those dems we voted in. Kucinich has the balls to say it like it is. I wish there were more like him in washington, go Dennis.
I like Obama but I LOVE Kucinich...I don't care that he looks like a friggin' leprechan...we're Notre Dame fans and we like that look. I haven't been able to vote for some one I believe in since McGovern.
Just ok.
Hey that's a great ad! And I think everyone reading this or any other progressive blog should get behind Denny K. However, I do see a downside to running this ad. The DLC types will again team up with the GOP and start the "Kucinich is crazy" meme (just like they did with Howard Dean and "The Scream"). You watch, there will be a torrent of fake outrage about the ad and the "uncivil" nature of bloggers; they'll be demands from all the usual suspects that Kucinich should "distance" himself from the ad and apologize. Mark my words, the message of the ad will be lost amongst the din created by rightwing feces flingers from BOTH parties.
robert mitchell @ 77:
We need to back every candidate who really stands for change. We need more people like Denny K and Bernie Sanders
Mike Z @ 69:
Denny K's campaign needs lots more money. I think that's where the blogs and their legion of readers can help out. Let's make Denny K "electable"
The sheer fact that this video had a snippet of Blackalicious bumpin' got me hyped. Great job they did on this.
What the "Say what you want" comment about?
Kucinich has the kind of courage not seen in congress since the late Paul Wellstone.
Dennis Kucinich is th ONLY democratic presidential candidate worthy of "progressive" support. If you doubt this -- all you need to do is compare his voting record and stance on all the important issues with each of the other candidates.
Wake Up!
Peace!
Truly sweet video. Dennis is gaining more ground day by day.
gene214 @ 80:
We shared your concern at first, but have found that the more conservative elements in the Democratic Party (which is most of the party) have chosen to remain rather silent about The 35 Percenters and our videos. They'd rather pretend Dennis doesn't exist than draw attention to a video that brings up a valid point. I also doubt Dennis would distance himself from anyone trying to raise awareness. We've actually had some very positive responses from him and his campaign, thanking us for our work. Elizabeth Kucinich supposedly enjoyed our first video enough to send it to her family and friends in England. If the DLC wants to talk about Kucinich, let them talk. I'm sure most liberals and Dennis himself could care less.
Mike Z @ 69:
Take the freakin' test!
Never mind what anyone says, eats, looks like, writes, etc.
[Go Dennis!!!]
steve davis @ 70:
What! How much have you really listened to this guy? You honestly mock the notion of a Dept of Peace?!!!
What is wrong with everyone?
Ben @ 64:
Keep on Rockin, Ben. It's up to us!
I think that Wolf is the adult form of " I was a teenage werewolf" or an adult Eddie Muenster. Dennis really does have it right. Keep up the good work.
Kincinich now, Kucinich in '08, and Kucinich as long as he is willing to serve. and i do mean serve. as that is what he does. i am proud to be from Ohio, for once, only because of him. i live in Mean Jean's [Schmidt] district ugh. and i love C & L.
"say what you will" ??? what the heck Blue Gal, you did the video on Dennis' SEX APPEAL!!!
i must've showed that to a dozen people, and laughed my ass off every time!
[Deleted. Do not post the same comment more than once. It's called spam]
Ruthless People @ 31:
When you get to vote in your primary choose Kucinich, don't hold your nose - just please do not vote for Hillary.
Please..everyone....a vote for Hillary is a vote for a Republican win. Every Dem candidate for Congress is freaking out because if she's the nominee not only will she lose but so will they - every Repug with a hate-boner for Hillary will run to the polls just to vote against her and then every Dem in the process. God, I wish she wasn't running. It has nothing to do with her gender and everything to do with the fact the Repub base is wildly unhappy with their slate and will stay home unless Hillary is the Dem nominee.
If Hillary really cared about her party, she'd bow out.
Kusinich is the only candidate that would bring about the drastic changes to tear down the corporate stronghold on our representatives and provide real national healthcare.
The only thing hillary would change would merely be the president's gender. She promises to continue to take lobbyist bribes and if she is half the republican her husband was, we will see the status quo.
I hope the democrats care more about this country and it's citizens than they do about the novelty of a female residing in the white house. If you want a female president, impeach bush and cheney and make it Pelosi, but for God's sake please don't continue the bush/clinton republican rule we have suffered through since 1980.
A vote for hillary, or any republican for the matter, is a vote against real change.
Shucks bluegal, you had me at chenguin.
Great vid. Kucinich is the best imo, and I can only hope that there are other true patriots flourishing. He/they seem too be a dying breed. ( in the political world )
Dennis gets my vote again this time.
What depressed me was that in 2004, I think I knew about 10% of his voters in the MI primary...and I don't know that many people. Let's get the word out!
Mike Z @ 69:
We talked about this poll at our Drinking Liberally meeting this weekend. Imagine if the Mainstream Press (cough, choke) would actually report this poll as they do others? It certainly would do a lot to squash that "Kucinich is too liberal" pundit meme out there wouldn't it? That's why we won't see it.
I got into a 'discussion' with my disgruntled Repub dad about Kucinich, he thinks those who have kept voting him into office are crazy...he was parroting the Cleveland Plain Dealer/Free Times-Scene Alt Press b.s. about Dennis being too far left..yadda yadda.
So I proceeded to tell my dad: I vote for Dennis every time (have lived in his district for 17 years) because he actually takes care of his constituency. He votes they way they want him to, helps them with problems, and has the BEST record in Congress for constituency services. In every instance, for every petition I've signed or form letter request to support legislation I've sent, I've gotten a typed letter reply (not an e-mail). I have a huge box full of reply letters from his office. I have never received a word back from DeWine or Voinovich. Maybe a few e-mails from Sherrod Brown.
Then I asked my dad: 'Isn't that why you vote for a person? Because they listen to you, vote as a representative of their constituency and not only say they care but show it?' My dad had no rebuttal. Now that makes me think 'Isn't that what I want in my President'?.
I think I just talked myself out of my own 'tissue thin support for Edwards' due to the fear of supporting the "under-dog". I'm voting for the Kooch from The Cleve in my primary if I can. I hope all Dems serious about changing this country for the better do as well.
Of the current Democratic contenders he's definitly the only one worth a dime.
"Say what you want about K," here is condescending, not to say dismissive. Of course, we could turn it around: "Say what you want about Bush," (although he's killed a million people) he's not that bad. But that's not turning it around, is it? Now, let's see, who is it we're going to rally around?
Ruthless People @ 40:
If people whose support of other candidates is "tissue thin" remains only because they don't think Kucinich has a chance, they are part of the problem, not the solution. If you like his stance on the issues and you approve of his record while in office, vote for him.
Sorry, but ....
Kucinich = irrelevance
"Say what you want..."
I know, looking at the comments it may be getting a little tired...
But all over every blog, and this one, there are complaints about the Dems not living up to their promises... Here's one that I think will.
I think we should be rallying around this guy like crazy. I think we should make the republicans run someone against Dennis. He'd mop the debates up. Forget Hillary and Obama... The're show-business candidates, nothing more. If you're serious about changing direction I know I would like nothing more than to see Dennis' name on that ballot. He's totally no bullshit. It's awesome.
All I ask is that all you progressives think about that. Which would you prefer, people that "can win" because they "have charisma" or someone that'll get shit done?
I'd prefer the latter...for a change.
I love this man.
Ruthless People @ 31:
If every one who thought as you would vote their conscience instead of trying to 'play' politics guess who'd win.
Arroyo @ 102:
So universal health care, the war in Iraq, government accountability, NAFTA, the WTO, and protecting the environment are all irrelevant to you? Yeah, I guess there are more important things, like Edwards' haircut or Hillary's cleavage.
ND @ 103:
Bingo! I second the motion! I'm so sick of sell out politicians who only care about money and power.
Dennis is the ONLY dem candidate telling the truth. The ONLY one.
Arroyo @ 102:
...... ahh spoken like a true uninformed voter. You just back the big money, huh? Truth doesn't matter. You just phone-it-in through life.
Mike Z @ 69:
Thanks for the link to Dennis Kucinich campaign website. Kucinich is a really smart person and he shows great courage when he speaks. His ideas and values are the right thing.
say what you will about Kucinich? fuck you - in the world you want he is the candidate.
Manila Ryce @ 106:
Terrible @ 105:
Wow. Kucinich=Nader, only with a 'D' after his name.
Kucinich is the only Dem this Independent would vote for.
Oh, and the dismissive, "say what you want" comment is just Blue Gal and C&L's way of showing their left-wing-gate-keeper selves.
Nice vid... anyone know what that song was at the end? It was pretty tight.
miss_kitty @ 113:
You say that like it's a bad thing. If you're that clueless, just leave the voting up to the rest of us informed citizens. You folks have done enough damage already by backing Republicans with D after their name. The rest of us will vote for real liberals, regardless of party.
Never realised Kucinich was such a legend. He really seems like the kind of refreshing politician Obama allegedly was at the start of the campaign with his 'hope & change' lark. You guys are all smart, skilled activists. Someone tell me there's still enough time left to raise national awareness of Kooch? If you all out yourselves as Kucinich supporters, donate & rally round him, you reckon there's a realistic chance he'd get the nom?
“choosing a prez candidate based on their appearance is so, well… american”.
Samson, your cry needs to be heard far and wide across this country, but Americans never learn. Oh they’re very vocal about not believing in evolution and getting rid of gays, but what do you do when people are stupid? That’s the matter with Kansas.
Note to editor: Sorry: I was using the vernacular of the homophobes in the context that they would use.
Cheney isn't in this for the oil. He is in it for the war.
Dennis Kucinich has a unique and disciplined sobriety that speaks from the powerful position of a non-exclusive moral high ground. He is a spectacular leader!

That video was great geeky stuff. I'd even watch that on TV as it stands out from all the overly slick junk which I just tune out (ok you'd have to edit it down some). Also, the clips of Kucinich show how intelligent and articulate he is. Turned my head around. The Congressman has a new supporter. Good job!

It is really great to see people where i was four years ago. In 2004 I canvassed in front of the post office where I live trying to get people in my home state just to recognize the name Kucinich. We went door-to-door handing out literature, and even held signs near the polling places on election day. And you see what it got me, an "electable" candidate who threw in the towel before the votes were even counted (Ohio's votes have never been fully counted to this day, but Kerry conceded on election night). If Kucinich is the candidate, I may even vote in 2008. Hillary, Obama, and Edwards can all blow me.

Mike Z @ 68:
hey did you see this?
Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul suffer the same maltreatment from the press, and are both hurt by top-down corporatized vote fraud. Why? Because they are not sock puppets.
They have opposing philosophies for ideal government, but they are both led to similar truthful conclusions.
I support Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. I also support Gravel and Camejo and Nader.
The rest are not whole people anymore. They are compromised by the enemy force, which decides for the people, instead of allowing the people to decide; part and parcel to the corruption of democratic participation. That disconnect begets destruction of all sorts.

Arryo= part of the problem
"Say what you want about Kucinich..."
The dismissiveness and condescention of that is the most repellent thing I've read on C&L in a long time. How did you manage to come up with such an inappropriate way to introduce this? Unbelieveable!
[Hey! Make your own site, and phrase posts anyway you want-Sitemonitor]
Manila Ryce @ 116:
Spoken like a true knee-jerk asshat
You misread me, and jumped to a stupid arsed conclusion. How embarassing for you.
I've voted Nader since '96. If you weren't brand new to the site, you'd know that. I've made no secret of my disdain for the corporatocracy that runs the political scene in this country. And no secret of my utter disappointment in the lack of choice the DLC/DNC hands us.
Try thinking before you comment in the future.
I was at a Kucinich fundraiser last Sunday. I donated $150 that I could not afford. The flyer asked for a minimum of $250. I told them I was sorry but I couldn't afford that much. The organizer said "come anyway and donate what you can." He and Elizabeth showed up early as we volunteers were getting oriented. We all applauded, then got on with our work. I've never felt so energized by such a cool, confident crowd in my 52 years.
Kucinich wandered around the Chopra Center very relaxed and confident, snacking on vegetarian cuisine. I could have shaken his hand and gotten my picture taken with him. Instead I parked cars for the fundraiser, giving breaks to the Mexican kids who normally do it. Everyone there was smart, informed and totally dedicated, including Bree Walker, Rep. Bob Filner (who would make and EXCELLENT VP) and Fenando Suarez, who lost a son in May 2003 and is a gold star member.
Like Ben, I proudly display a Kucinich bumper sticker on my '03 Mustang as I blast my Stones and Hendrix around this republican stronghold, home of Duke Cunningham and Duncan "Noodles Jefferson" Hunter. One month ago I quit smoking pot after 35 years so I can fight the good fight with this man. Smashed the bong to try and salvage what's left of the culture that gave me the privileged life I have today. Our future depends upon it, as does the future of the whole world, and we cannot let our children down, and I don't even have kids.
If Blogtopia (thanks Skippy) really wants to turn this country around, really wants to exert the POWER of the people, then the entire bolgosphere should throw their support behind this man. Those who claim he is unelectable are giving in to the fear. As Eugene Debs once said, "I would rather vote my conscience and lose than vote for the status quo and win." Either way we win. I sleep well at night knowing I've already decided who I am voting for in '08.
We have one year. Let's get to work. Take a stand. You'll be damn proud, and that's what we need. Pride.
Manila Ryce @ 116:
And how dare you tell someone not to vote. What a hypocrite. Let's bring back testing intelligence, and only smartypants like you will be allowed to vote.
[Deleted. Off topic-Sitemonitor]
After watching the video and reading over the first 50 or so comments I have finally gotten over thinking, "Geez, I totally agree with everything Kucinich says and I have to admit the guy has huge cajones and a hot wife... too bad he's unelectable".
I was wrong. He is the right man for the job and I have made my choice, I will support Kucinich, openly. Only two problems...
1. I'm Canadian
2. Your admired political, economic and media systems are in trouble. Despite being the best leader your country may have available he is up against some long odds if he has any hope of being declared elected in the current environment.
On second thought, the 2nd point is the reason he has won my support. America could be cool again under Kucinich. He may be your only hope to get out of the mess you are in. He's the real deal. (Frankly, POTUS 41 always struck me as being a total dweeb but he got elected, we had many good laughs at his expense).
[Deleted. That's it, lay off the snarky BlueGal comments]
Dennis Kucinnich, is one of the main reasons we need to follow our own political aspirations of who we want in the white house and not allow this cheap right wing media to continue to promote the candidate they need to run against.
They currently have all the others folding up tents and calling it a day and the worst is that they are not speaking for millions and millions of Americans who simply disagree with the polling data and for good reason too.
All of our candidates deserve the respect to continue voicing real concerns of American people and Dennis is just one of them.
They are trying desperately to put a stop to the rest of them but we are not having any of that crap.
The election is more then a year and half away and they are trying to shut down the rest of the democrats so they can continue this Bush, Clinton attack game they are playing.
They know we are sick and tired of this kind of politics and we should never stand for it.
Congressman Kucinich is a VOICE for the millions of AMERICANS who has been muted by the government and the mass-media.
If anyone question this man integrity, his voting records are easily acessable that will prove that HE truly represent the people of AMERICA. He is one of the strongest enforcer of our U.S. Constitution. He like his people has been betrayed by the media, the Presidential opponents in both aisle, the current government leadership and the corporate giants.
He does not judge your character by your sex, ethnicity, your gender, your sexual preference, your disability, not your personal appearance, not by your height, or how much you have in your purse.
He has SEVERAL main mission. PEACEful WORLD. EQUALITY. LAWFUL NATION. Preserving the RIGHTS of every human being in this world. Rights to healthcare. Rights to have a job for his people. Healthy environment.
EVERY candidate who is threatened by his QUALITIES are mocking him for his height and looks. Remember AMERICA, our nation did not become great through the IMAGES of a Hollywood invented president leadership.
It is the SOUL and the HEART of the leader who TRULY care for his people and his country.
Dennis Kucinich IS truly OUR promise of CHANGE. A Change for a better AMERICA. He wants it NOW like we all do. Unlike the other Candidates whoes rhetorics are filled with empty PROMISES. These candidates are only promising to deliver WHEN THEY WIN THE ELECTION IN 2008.
Deniis Kucinich IS acting NOW to make the change and NOT waiting whether he becomes President. He has acted his duty to protect and preserve the Constitution. He said that he will start a campaign to IMPEACH the tyranic Vice President. He delivered H.R.333 to impeach VP Cheney. He said he will NOT fund the WAR. He did not vote to fund the WAR. He said the WAR was wrong from the beginning and question the legitimacy. Evidence prove he was right.
Main-stream media is having YOU believe that HE is unelectable in 2008. Think it through AMERICA. Don't let the media decide for you who YOUR president will be. VOTE for a Candidate that deserve YOUR priceless VOTE. And Stop funding any campaign contribution to any candidates UNTIL they DELIVER what they had PROMISED.
Did you hear 75% of the people think that Jean Claude Van Damme is a good actor? Well if that is so then I guess either a) 75% of the people are idiots or b) I better look into this because clearly I missed out. Now what does this have to do with things...everything. People are deciding about Dennis Kucinich because of what other people think and some immediate belief of not being electable...who cares what other people think...WHAT DO YOU THINK? If you think he is telling the truth, has good opinions, etc. you really should vote for him in the primary. If he doesn't get nominated then vote for the Dem that makes it.
oh I can't vote for an elf...what a vote waste....what would other people think...sheesh if you think like that you are just the opposite side of the coin of the people you make fun of for voting for Bush...he isn't in a nadar position yet so stop with that kind of thinking you are all better than that. If he gets into some situation like that well then you make your compromise then...
Dennis Kucinich was born in the astrological sign of LIBRA. A sign of fair and balance, and sensibility and believes in maintaining harmony.
Libra! Dennis Kucinich Sign...
Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals. Many modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped. There is a mellowness and sense of relaxation in the air as mankind enjoys the last of the summer sun and the fruits of his toil. Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often have a unique charismatic charm. They have unique qualities, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.
They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgment to be made on them. But they do not tolerate argument from anyone who challenges their opinions, for once they have reached a conclusion, its truth seems to them self-evident; and among their faults is an impatience of criticism and a greed for approval. But their characters are on the whole balanced, diplomatic and even tempered.
Librans are sensitive to the needs of others and have the gift, sometimes to an almost psychic extent, of understanding the emotional needs of their people and meeting them with their own innate optimism - they are the kind of person of whom it is said, "They always make you feel better for having been with them." They are very social human beings. They loathe cruelty, viciousness and vulgarity and detest conflict between people, so they do their best to cooperate and compromise with everyone around them, and their ideal for their own circle and for society as a whole is unity.
.
To all Presidential candidates currently serving in office:
How are you supporting and defending the constitution of the USA by your allowing and tolerating the usurpations and violations of the constitution of the USA and the constitutional laws derived from it?
WHAT KIND OF PERSON PROMISES TO TELL THE TRUTH... TOMORROW?
If America is to believe that under your administration you will fix these violations, then how is NOT acting at stoping the violations on your watch now, reason enough for america to believe in that promise?
And if we are to believe that you will act when you are elected and not now on your watch, then what you are asking of Americans is to accept the notion that a lawless, constitutionally violating administration is acceptable and 'run of the mill' as noted by your current inactions, from ANY administration... Even your own.
Who could support that?
Who WOULD support that?
.

I just want to thank everyone here for your comments and feedback. After putting a ton of work into the video with a couple other members of The 35%ers, it’s heartening to get such a positive response. I wasn’t aware that C&L had such a strong base of support for Kucinich. It sounds like even those of you who don’t think you’ll vote for him still support his candidacy and vision for America and the world. That’s awesome. I want to single out the following comments in particular:
Ozymandias (#13)
Andy K (#49)
Eamon (#117)
xNYr (#121)
Thorson Welles (#134)
These five people all professed a new perspective on the potential of voting for Kucinich in 2008 (presumably after watching the video). Provoking genuine thought and discussion about a Kucinich presidency is why The 35%ers launched in the first place, and it’s so wonderful to see that our work may be having a small - but significant - impact.
There’s been a lot of discussion around whether or not voting for Kucinich is realistic in 2008, so I’ll keep my thoughts on the matter brief (well, relatively brief). But you should know that a few short weeks ago I was one of the many progressives who said, “Of course Dennis is the best candidate, but he’ll never win. Voting for him would be a waste.”
While I still empathize with that perspective, working with this group and learning more about Kucinich’s positions has transformed my views on voting. I now want to vote for the candidate I believe in most strongly, even if s/he isn’t well-financed or “electable.” (See Mike Z’s post , #69, for a link to poll numbers that show the “unelectable” and “out-of-touch” labels don’t apply to Kucinich nearly to the extent that most of us assume.)
In a democracy, the most powerful – and, in our current media environment, often the only – way we make our voices heard is through our vote. If we refuse to vote, or vote for a candidate only because we think they can win, then we turn our backs on the foundational principles of our democracy. Short of a revolution (which, if you haven’t noticed, doesn’t seem to be going down anytime soon), voting our conscience is one of the best ways to send a message to the powerful and to ourselves that WE, the people, have the power to create real change.
If you still think voting for Kucinich is an exercise in futility, I understand. Don’t vote for him if you don’t want to. But don’t let that decision dictate your opinions on the importance of independent and honest voices in our political system. If you believe that Dennis is the best candidate but that he’ll never get elected, think about WHY that is. Talk to your friends and family about it. And use the internet to change it! Never before has the potential of motivated citizens to create change been so great and so real. This is an important moment. Let’s not waste it.
Oh, and another reason I’m voting for Kucinich in ‘08: I don’t want to relive that sick feeling in my stomach that I had after voting for Kerry in ’04.
Thanks again!
P.S. Glad everyone’s digging the soundtrack. I think most of the musical selections have already been outed in the comments, but if you have any questions just let me know.

Democrat supporters really need to get behind someone like Kucinich who supports their views. The media obviously has the majority fooled into thinking Hillary and Obama are the saviours. Most have no clue where the candidates stand. I just got into an argument elsewhere with someone that said Hillary never supported the Iraq war.
Here's a very informative chart that shows where each 2008 Presidential Candidates stands and stood before flip-flopping...

Los Populisto @ 1:
See my rant above.
Obama isn't, he hasn't, and it appears that he won't support and defend the Constitution of the USA from those that ARE violating it and the Constitutional Laws derived from it. And yet he seeks to fill that Office that has lost the trust of Americans without ever acting to restore it FIRST!
Why is this?
.
Media seem to think that THEY hold the truth and the fact about each and every candidate. Media seems to be the magnet to the candidates with the "MOST" available campaign money. It is NO surprise they matter most because they can profit the most during campaign and election season. Who CAREs about AMERICA, who CAREs about the PEOPLE?.........?
America focus on a candidate that has a proven record of representing the people and for the good of this nation. Vote for a candidate that understand our problems and who have shown the courage to stand up for us. Only one democratic candidate fits the bill. Congressman Dennis Kucinich. He deserves to be promoted to the Office of the Presidency. He earned it. Let us not turn our back on him. He will STAND, SPEAK, and ACT for the good of AMERICA.
VOTE FOR DENNIS KUCINICH.
OMG, the Chenguin. Best. Nickname. Ever.
rah-rah-rah. it's all in the wrist. rah-rah-rah
Terrific video, 35 Percenters. It's informative and entertaining.
Dennis Kucinich for President!
AMERICA I advice that you watch how Dennis Kucinich handle himself when the Democrat bull doggie, George Stephanopoulos' interview him. George tried and tried to politely bully doggie Dennis unsuccessfully with a smile; with some negative statements and sharp questions. Dennis steadily held his ground gracefully, like a gentleman and with a smile. Dennis was poised and answered all the questions truthfully that benefitted his campaign.
WE all know where GEORGIE put his money on. He was betting on HILLARY.
And I was very very IMPRESSED how he handled himself during this interview. Gerogie Step tried to do the same to RON PAUL. Ron Paul was caught off-guard when Georgie TOLD HIM it aint gonna happen. (refering to Ron Paul winning the Presidency). Ron Paul looked like a ton of brick just fell on him. But Dennis Kucinich? It was him that crack the whip on GEORGE and HILLARY in that interview.
DENNIS KUCINICH has the backing of millions of regular AMERICAN PEOPLE. Who cares about the top teir candidates who has the backing of the millionaires and political pundits.
At the end it is the VOTE of the people that COUNTS......................
I voted for Kucinich in the 2004 primary (CA). Went to see him speak in Santa Cruz same year. Wanted to go work for his campaign, but flaked. I love hearing this outpouring for him; rekindles my own early enthusiasm. Seems like half of the country, at least, pretty much agrees with him down the line. Can we maybe find a way to muster that support into the polls so he can at least move the debate/party/country in his/our direction? Can we make him The Mouse that Roared?
Mike Z @ 135:
I was refrencing her video that showed her support for Dennis Kucinich. I did tis because a lot of people, myself included, were taken aback by the way she introduces Dennis and his video in this post. I was making an effort to be fair since Blue Gal recieved alot of flack. You are a bit overzealous, siemonitor.
Obama is vacuous an empty shell, he says nothing about anything. He spends his time ingratiating himstlf with the status quo. I dare one of you to tell me Obama's position on one issue and what he is going to do about it. Obama has not served one term in Congress and he should be president? What qualifies him for the post?
Hillary Clinton is a power monger pure and simple. She is one of the most disingenuous of the Democratic candidates. She also has no plan, no stand. She supported the war in Iraq, I don't trust her pure and simple. She has introduced no substantial legislation. She has been a Bush enabler from the get go.
Kucinich and Gravel are the only two candidates who have shown any integrity. Thry have my support.
