Mike's Blog Round Up

Hey everyone, I’m Bill Wolfrum from Williamkwolfrum.com, Shakesville.com, and other assorted sites. And yeah, I'm just as shocked as you that Fox's "Half-Hour News Hour" didn't take off. Hardcore conservatives are ordinarily so funny, and all.Morning Martini: Will we get around to fixing the nation's infrastructure? Or, for that matter, stop being a nation of murderers?

Americans United for Separation of Church and State: Idaho Congressman Bill Sali has American democracy confused with theocracy.

Bark Bark Woof Woof: Whether Fred Thompson is a candidate or not, he's no different than the rest of the GOP mess currently running.

Les Enragés.org: The words of Pink Floyd ring even more true today.

Connect.the.Dots: Ask John Kerry, John McCain and Max Cleland about Karl Rove's legacy.

How CAN you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

There are only two ways to look at this clusterfck that is the iraq war..

either:

1: The U.S. Military and State Dept are completely incompetent, foolish and nieve ,

or

2: The U.S. never really intended to bring democracy to the middle east.

In his interview with Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove claimed that the people criticizing Bush are "sort of elite, effete snobs who can't hold a candle to this guy. What they don't like about him is that he is common sense, that he is Middle America." Limbaugh suggest that Bush critics are frustrated the the President "outsmarts 'em."

"Will we get around to fixing the nation’s infrastructure? Or, for that matter, stop being a nation of murderers?"
In his last press conference before his vacation the President blamed the Democrats in Congress for his foot dragging on approving a 5 cent tax to fund bridge repairs, yet he shows his leadership skills when it comes to something criminal such as eavesdropping on Amerricans illegally, torturing prisoners, etc..

Weeeee! Thank you, Bill Wolfrum, for linking my Morning Martini site. This definitely makes my shitty day, all sunny and smiley :)

:lol: I have repeated asked my kids this over the years. He was 15 before I shared with him the song that this came from.

I also always tell him: "Every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man." ;)

First of all, thanks for listening to Limbaugh and Rove and reporting back. Couldn't have done it myself. Secondly, did Rove REALLY, truly say, "elite, effete snobs"?

Dennis Miller is one wild and craaaaazy guy, isn't he? That's some riotous stuff.

Secondly, did Rove REALLY, truly say, "elite, effete snobs"?

Yes, I heard it on a replay on the radio this morning.

Wow... I think you picked up a transmission from an entirely different planet. This is proof that there's other life in the universe... not intelligent life, but life none the less!

LOL. I say to that to my kids all the time when they don't actually eat their food. I'm the only one that gets it obviously.
I always thought it was "If you don't beat your meat, you can't have any pudding! "

Whoever below linked to the Powell Memo, thanks very much.
Fascinating, how the recent [1971] war for the capitalist system began.

Another Today's Must Read

The Justice Department argued yesterday before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco that two class-action lawsuits involving warrantless surveillance needed to be thrown out of court for potentially exposing state secrets.

It practically got laughed out of court.

Representative Sali is, to give him the benefit of the doubt, an educated man. So, given his tirade...there can be only one conclusion.

Sali = intellectually dishonest wingnut.

Sorta' off topic, has anybody heard from samson? He was looking for info on Peru. His parents are down there.

I dunno know why but I'm sorta in this mood today

YS;

That was heartbreakingly sad.... Sorry you are feeling down
Bud.... My initial reaction to the images along with the haunting sort of melancholy lyric made me think... That's our future if we don't get our shit together here in the U.S.A.... American citizens, average people, reduced down to a just bunch of homeless folks rummaging around a whole nation reduced to one huge stinking landfill....I want to be wrong....JD

Nobody Asked Me, But...

I thought neo-cons were supposed to be patriots? President For Life?
