By raising as much money as we have so far this early (544,000 in four months in '06)--- we do have a voice in the process and people notice. And it also forces opponents to raise millions to compete.

The basis for this claim is not clear. How does a few hundred grand in donations force opponents to raise millions to compete?

Why look! They won a majority in the last midterm elections then turned right around and approved more spying on Americans and more money for the Iraq war. And their brave little candidates fall over one another pledging that, yes, we have what it takes to murder even more innocent Muslim civilians if only Amerikkka gives them the chance.

Huffington Post is posting the home address of political donors. Fortunately, I just moved, so the address they have for me is wrong, but until they stop it, I won't give any money to anyone again. This is ridiculous--they could just post the zip code. This won't make it easier to track down big money contributors because they are protected by more than just anonymity. This makes it easier for men to stalk women or students to find where teachers live. I believe it is a horrible invasion of our privacy. But they never bothered to return my e-mail. However, if you care, write them and tell them what you think.
Give them money? Give them money? Now why in the h-e-ck would I give them money? Just once someone give me an answer other than "it's better than the repubs"!!! Enough is enough. They get enough of my damn money. What the heck is wrong with you people? Raising money almost daily for the Dems? Good grief.
And the alternative of those who don't want to support Democrats is what? Are you arming and taking to the streets? The majority of Dems have voted the way I'd like them to. The leadership could use a lot of work, but we won't get better leaders unless we get progressive Democrats into office.
