Maybe I'm missing something but this just seems kinda tacky altho I agree with the above comment about Russert shamelessly flogging his self-congratulatory book about recognizing what a great dad he has.
And his constant obsequiousness to any politician who currently holds the upper hand.

Anybody got a transcript? I can only make out a word or two above the overlapping noise in the video.
Anyone else wondering if this blooper was caused by a mischevous sound tech who knew a *real* news story when he/she heard it?
