Robert Greenwald's New Video Series On 9/11 And The <i>Real</i> Rudy Giuliani

A filmmaker who was behind documentaries that bashed Rupert Murdoch and Wal-Mart is now focusing on Rudy Giuliani, creating an "online viral video campaign" about the presidential candidate timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attack.
Robert Greenwald on Thursday launched the first of four short videos about Sept. 11 and the Republican former mayor. The others are planned to launch throughout the month.
The videos attack Giuliani by saying he failed to prepare New York City for a major disaster, he ignored sick ground zero workers after the terrorist attack and he profited financially from his association with the tragedy after leaving office in 2001.
"We want to use this forum to reach people and show and tell and say, 'Look here are some truths that we want you to know,'" Greenwald told The Associated Press. The video blitz has an accompanying web site, therealrudy.org. Read more...

Thanks for posting this. I had never heard this story before. Now I'm looking forward to the newer episodes.
One thing that really pisses me off about Ghouliani is his proclivity for laughing at serious matters, as he did in response to Wallace's question re locating the command center in the WTC against the recommendation of his own emergency management director. Also Ghouliani was the one giggling in the background in response to Ron Paul's strong statements about the importance of the Constitution in guiding policy.
I don't know how it happened but I am on Mr Greenwald's mailing list and I received an email from him yesterday linking to this video. I had to watch it twice to be sure I was understanding it correctly. It certainly reinforces my original opinion of Rudy. He may not be as stupid as bush, but he appears to be just as self-centered and just as insincere. He's about the last person we need in the white house. We know how his kind works and we are living with the results of having someone like him in control.
Rudy is a scary dude. I think of all the Rs running, I would hate to see him win above all others. And, Straight, you are so right about his little laughing moments. Hmmmmmm, they remind me of someone else who has a smirk, chuckle thing when talking about dealy serious matters.
We shouldn't sweat Ghouliani too much.....we've got the pictures of him in a dress. Realize that the right wing simpletons lack the sophistication to differentiate between transvestite tendencies and "having the gay"

I understand Ghouliani moved the local branch of FEMA into the World Trade Towers well after the attempt upon them in '93 by blind Omar.

Ending the entrenched myth of Rudy the 9/11 warrior depends on it. The mainstream media have yet to unmask him. And will not (if it will at all) until the din is deafening.
I can forgive Rudy for moving the command center to WTC 7. It was a mistake, but only in hindsight. I can forgive Rudy for appearing “in charge” and “on the scene” on 9-11 even though the reality was he was running away because his office just got blown up. That was the cameras on the ground making that erroneous assumption. I can forgive these things, but I won’t forget these things.
I can’t forgive Rudy for LYING about it being the Director of Emergency Management’s decision to place the command center at WTC 7. THAT was Rudy’s decision from the beginning. The finger pointing after the fact is unforgivable.
Simply stunning.

The phrase, "politically wired people" by Wayne Barrett sums up Rudy's life-long modus operandi.
What I'd like to know is how close is this Rudy/Silverstien relationship? Those who are familiar with Larry Silverstien know that he amended the insurance policy on WTC in July of 2001 to include coverage for acts of terrorism. Why then? What did he KNOW and how did he come by that information?

he moved his office to another location several days before 911 from building 7 , when asked by reporters why he did it, he and im quoting his words as seen on tv said because i was warned not to use it, who warned him? and if he took that warning so seriously why did he not warn the occupents of the trade center that something was in the wind?

I hate to say it but this isn't going to do any good. The myth the Rudy is "America's Mayor" has already been too well established and anything to the contrary will be written off as "Liberal Propaganda"

My sister is proud member of the religious right, she think that we should as much money as needed in Iraq because they are "keeping us safe".

I've noticed this tell before. When a serious question is posed to him and he's about to blatantly lie, Giuliani precedes his lying answer with smiles and chuckling.
He knows that he has no chance for the nomination. But running for president is such a great business. Name recognition, book deals, speaking engagements, etc..

name? Hauer blamed the anthrax attacks on Bin Ladin and certain right wing extremists and
their supporters. He then proceeded to drag his feet when it came time to track down
suspects. The FBI named Hatfill an "interested party" or terms similar. Hauer, is said to be
one of the head men at Kroll and Kroll was, you guessed it, in charge of security at WTC on 911.
He hired John O'Neal whose job took effect on 9/10/2001 according to Wiki.
Once you go down that rabbit hole you start to meld with the "Loose Brains" people. Can anyone

I voted for Giuliana 3X and consider him a good mayor.
I will never vote for him for anything else.
He is much smarter than Bush but that is saying little.
He is much more competent than any of the other GOP candidates
but that is saying even less. He is crazier than Chaney and thats crazy.
Interesting when the statement that "if you're not 100% behind a Guiliani policy they'll cut your throat." Does that remind you of any two-bit, half-wit, steaming pile of shit politician that happens to reside in the White House right now? That's what we need...another 4-8 years of Bush-Politik to finish off our country completely .

Giuliani's maniacal laugh in the face of Wallace's important questions is really disturbing. Like the Decider, he sounds like a man who can't imagine making a mistake.
Cronyism sure sucks for the little guy doesn't it? This is the kind of Government we currently have. Lets do what we can to change it.
