The Next Hurrah: If Ted Olson is Chimpy's AG nominee, Harry Reid says he'll do everything he can to prevent confirmation. There's many reasons why Olson is a lousy choice, but here's a big one.
Isn't it ironic that the rules and laws that the White House ignores, gives them the power to block those rules and laws from being enforced.
There is no legal means to compel an Attorney General to do his job, if he doesn't want to do it.
The crooks protect themselves using the very laws that they hold contempt for.

Why would any Senator in his or her right mind vote to confirm as the new Attorney General one of the three chief architects of the plan to render them powerless?
Who knows why they do anything (or nothing) anymore. Logic is apparently a thing of the past. I have even written to certain republicans asking THEM why they are backing an administration that is rendering their jobs null and void. I don't get it.

- write disapproving letter
- give stenographer-press disapproving sound bites.
- throw up hands at first sign of opposition and claim he's done all he can.
- finally vote FOR whomever shrub throws at you claiming you're trying to be 'bipartisan' etc. etc. blah diddy blah blah. same shit different day.

Olson will be confirmed. It will be "business as usual" in DC. The dumbocrats will whine that "well, we tried..."
What I don't want to hear as a reason to confirm is the sympathy vote because his wife was killed on 9/11.

I just read that Rep Boner thinks that if we "win the war" we'll have paid a "small price". His comments were in response to the coming additional death and maiming of our troopers.
