That TDS spit take was hilarious. Now how do we get Punditstan to stop referring to Lieberman as a Democrat -- and to stop using the smarmy little shit to "represent" the Dem viewpoint in discussions?

that linky only works in Canada ? Mac's.

rats!!

I was getting tired of the term "drinking the Kool Aid"...John's got it right. From now on I will refer to right wingnuttery as "drinking the crazy juice".

The links don't work.

Link still no worky..

Lieberman is to the Pentagon what those "Face on Mars" people are to NASA. A useful if somewhat embarrassing idiot.

Maybe Gerson scrubbed the vid.

link doesn t work

Don't need no stink'n video to know Oily Joe is totally an asshole with no regard for the people of his state to whom he lied during his campaign, and no regard for our country that he is harming with his words and actions. The lack of wisdom and foresight astounds me, but I forget he is a politician and there there is no accounting for character, no shame unchallenged by the likes of people who wear that mantle.

As a former resident of Connecticut for 33 years, I think I can explain how he continues to win elections there.

Joe is a clever politician who happens to be a devout Orthodox Jew and a ferocious defender of Israel's interests, real and imagined. He built a reputation as a moderate on domestic issues (women's rights, gay rights, the enivronment, civil liberties), meanwhile entrenching himself with corporate interests on Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and insurance. This played well in Connecticut, where voters tend to be independent and where many large corporations are domiciled.

Iraq would have been Joe's downfall, except that no viable Republican opponent came forth in 2006. Alan Schlesinger was a poor candidate who once had used an alias to cover up his gambling debts. No other Republican wanted to take Joe on, because he had so much financial support, and to oppose Lieberman on Iraq was to oppose Bush. So even though Ned Lamont beat Joe in the primary, he was able to run as an independent and garner almost all the votes that would have gone to any average Republican candidate. A fluke, really...and now Joe is the poster child for the Israel lobby, and Bush uses him like a garden tool.

Are you being sabotaged by the Rethugs?

Lieberman will do anything to appease his daddy fetish. He hangs with his daddy friends like Hannity and 43

If you aren't going to allow us to watch the video, you should take the thread down, rather than leaving it up while publishing new ones. Just saying

Dudes, they're working on it. Stop being asses, and be a little patient. Sheesh.

I watched this last night and was appaled that Barbara Boxer wasted seven freakin minutes babbling incoherently and never asked a question. This is our Democratic leadership? WTF?

Lieberman... biggest LO$ER on the planet

Great News - the only thing holding Lieberman back is Barbara Boxer...

(ruh-ro)

wmv is working

QT is working now too.

I would think that Crazy Joe tends to view human beings as subjects in an indifferent, objective, often ambiguous, and absurd universe, in which meaning is not provided by the natural order, but rather can be created even from the sublimely ridiculous, however with reservations and unstably, by human beings' actions and interpretations. His own silent joy is contained therein. His fate belongs to him, ultimately bashed, bruised, and ridiculed, but happy as he appears poised to leap off the cliff of public opinion, thinking he can save himself by wings hastily assembled and not thouroughly tested. And whilst all this is going on, he contemplates his social torment and silences all the mamby-pamby naysayers and moon calves in the universe, and the myriad slight but wondering little voices of the earth rise up, unconscious, secret calls, invitations from all the faces, they are the necessary reverse and ironic price of victory. There is no sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night in order to avail one’s self of the nightlight of reality in order to chase those spooks away. This absurd man says yes and his efforts will henceforth be unceasing. If there is a personal fate, there is no higher destiny, or at least there is, but one which he concludes is inevitable and despicable. For the rest, he knows himself to be the master of his days and thinks of himself as a hell of a chick magnet. At that subtle moment when man glances backward over his shoulder at all his critics as he sets forth in his folly to ultimately plummet either to his death or depths of embarrassment, he returns toward the edge of the abyss, pivoting, he contemplates the series of unrelated actions which have become his fate, created by him, combined under the cat's eyes of his youth, and soon sealed by his death. Thus, convinced of the wholly human origin of all that is human, a blind fool eager to see who knows that the night has no end, he is still on the go. The wings are still flapping.

The first thought that came to mind after seeing LIEberman was it must be true that only the good die young.

"I want to go to Iran". Go right ahead, asshole. Who's stopping you?

You are so right. Every time I hear that asswipe Rush or that shit-for-brains Hannity refer to Holy Joe as a Democrat I almost vomit. Have you ever torn your radio out of your dash board with your bare hands and chucked it out the window doing 70? I have. Very satisfactory.

why this war wont end

the repugs are nuts, holy joe is batshit

and the dems are more interested in their camera time than they are with the lives of our men and women in uniform

fuck them all

They fixed the vids, thanks.

I wish they'd fix these too-

LIEberman is practically wetting his pants urging Betrayus to invade Iran. What part of ARMY is BROKE do those people not understand?

If the Dems get an outright majority in 2008, they have to kick that sack of crap Lieberman to the curb. Take away all his power, make him lower than the lowest freshman Senator. If he wants to sit on a committee, then let him go kiss Republican ass to get it. If the Dems don't excommunicate Lieberman at the soonest chance they get, they are stupid.

Once again, thanks a bunch Connecticut.

I bet Kraftfoods really hates having one of its products associated with such craziness.

Talk about bad publicity.

If the Army weren't broke, would you advocate invading Iran?
Which brings me to tonight's errr...this afternoon's word, "Defeat!".

A good majority of those who now oppose the war in Iraq, hold that opinion because they hate losing wars, not because they view the occupation as illegal or the entire war as unjust.

To get an idea of just how nuts Liebermann is, you need to watch the video with Max Blumenthal from 'The Nation' called Rapture Ready:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjMRgT5o-Ig&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emaxbl...
That video blew my socks off. This is how nuts the people are that are making our foreign policy decisions..

I heard this as well from my family that still live there, some people voted for him because they didn't want to lose the seniority he has in the Senate. I kid you not. Bringing home the pork was more important to some people than making sure this schmuck lost. The Republicans alone didn't reelect him, it was a bipartisan effort. He wasn't a fluke either. Weicker ran as an Independent and won the Governorship.

I'm a former resident, too. Left for college and never returned. I've found that Connecticut's a great state to be from.

This is exactly why there really should be term limits.

This was very useful. I guess it's no surprise that no one on either the left or right in this country has dared to make the connection between Joe's militarism and his staunch pro-Isreal stance. We feel free to criticize fundamentalism when exhibited by christians or muslims, but jewish fundamentalism is never criticized.

I liked Stewart's bit but I don't see Joe as crazy, but rather a relentless pursuer of Israel's interests in the middle east, which includes weakening her neighbors.

The clip is just Pelosi not asking a question then Hagle...that's it, No Lieberman. What's up?

From a story up above about Lieberman: "According to a recent poll, if given the opportunity now, voters of Connecticut would only too happily show Lieberman the door and handily elect Ned Lamont."

Too bad. They're still not forgiven for being so apathetic and STUPID in the first place. Amercians have to start to pay attention to what's going on. I saw over at YouTube, two people deciding which president would look best for the "next 4 years". Gimme a break.

Connecticut, what were you thinking?

crazy juice is not even close to how crazy joe is, he is trying to bring about the apocalypse.

All I can say is it is about time Connecticut realizes what a putz they elected.

OH MY GOD ! Were are the lighting bolts for this man!

Lieberman is desperate to push for actions that would trigger a war between Iran and the US that would escalate and result in the destruction of Iran's economy and military, and consequential destabilization of Iran like that seen in Iraq. A lot more US soldiers would die of course, but that wouldn't matter, his only interest is Israel.

I call BS on this comment. BTW, was'nt there an off switch on that radio!?!?!?!?

It is refreshing to see someone with a commitment to winning this war. Go Joe!!! We are rooting for you!!!

We're freakin doomed. The world is freakin doomed.

Do you see now who is running this godforsaken planet?

We are so beyond screwed that we can't even catch a bus back to screwed.

Wow; so Holy Joe has officially become as Iran obsessed as the rest of the GOP asshats. Clearly the overwhelming 'success' that is Iraq, has the Right literally creaming themselves with the idea of 'democritizing' Iran, and by democritizing, they obviously mean bombing and conquering. I guess some cowardly, war mongering, profiteering shitheels just are satisfied with the idea of losing one immoral, unjust war, when the idea of doubling down seems just too tempting to ignore.

Jesus, your nation is on the verge of a total meltdown.
