I am really glad I am not on the side that is pissed off about a lapel pin and that has to believe what the Fox propaganda team dishes out.

ALL conservatives should call and make an appointment with a psychologist. I'm beginning to think right-wing conservatism is a mental disorder. You should see the movie "Everyone Says I Love You" by Woody Allen there is a subplot line that has Allen Alda the patriarch of an ultra liberal upscale family in New York complaining that of all his kids his oldest son is always espousing right wing talking points. Word arrives one day that this son has been taken to the hospital and after the successfull removal of a brain tumor somehow all the right wing blather has stopped.

There are always going to be a number of people who spend so much time analyzing the sand that they don't realise they're on a beach. The only thing you can do is move the rest of us away from such drivel.

I couldn't believe how that woman was going off about a stupid lapel pin. This is one of the most rediculous things to argue about.
In my opinion Obama has the best campaign logo. It's the most creative one out of all of them. Who cares about some stupid pin.
To me the American flag is just a display of American arrogance (right now). It's an embarrasment to display the flag with how this country has run roughshod over the Constitution and has invaded another country over lies and has trampled on our rights. That's nothing to be proud of.

The similarity is that neither the Lewinsky affair, or the wearing of a flag on a lapel is an issue that Americans care about.

The Fox anchor is so comfortable following the "need an insult that will appease Ailes? Bash the Clintons" script in his head that he totally fucks up what really happened. Clinton's famous equivocations were on "the meaning of is" and his "did not have sexual relations with that woman." But in the later case he was equivocating on "sexual relations" as not involving blow jobs, never on the "that woman". And since these were such serious lies as to merit impeachment, you would think that they would be significant enough crimes against the constitution that journalists and reporters would remember them.
Maybe equating the two episodes is Fox being honest for the first time -- Clinton's high crimes really were reducible to a cheap political hack job.

Considering last weeks scandal involving a Vet removing a flag from a restaurant, which refreshed the US Flag Code in all of our memories, Obama siteing the part about "not using the flag or it's likeness as decoration, clothing or jewelry" part...in support and solidarity with our brave troops. As in 'he cares enough to do his homework, and respects the flag code as any potential Commander-in-Chief should'.

It is actually un-patriotic to WEAR the American Flag in any representation. If you look on a flag-folding web-site made by the United States Armed Forces-you can find the information right there. Sorry, but I'm not able to trust anybody who wears a lapel flag pin, whatever their party. Nobody wears the damn thing as a sign of love of country. Senator Obama is not the only one that has put the flag to rest. The only people now seen with the symbol are right wingers, that are still hoping to revive a failing administration .
I see some of them riding up and down the street with two and three flags and support the troop decals all over their cars and thank god it's only about one in every hundred because most of us are just plain embarrassed to be an American and plain sick of this shit.
