I didn't realize Hillary has been President since 2000
By John Amato Monday Oct 29, 2007 8:36amA keen observation by Digby:
I don't know if anyone's noticed, but George W. Bush is being disappeared from the presidential campaign and everyone's running against incumbent Hillary Clinton. Subtly, but relentlessly, the public psyche is being prepared to deny Junior ever existed. And it could work...
I certainly don't blame the Republicans for trying to do it. It makes sense, since their boy is an epic failure and the original Clinton is still very present in people's minds. It will be quite a trick to pull off, but I can see the press already helping them do it. (Naturally.) It's an interesting phenomenon and one for which I hope the Democratic strategists are prepared. Their underlying theme seems to be, "If you want change, vote Republican!"
And the media will lap this up.

With the dumbing down of Americans.... It might just work!
Sort of like the current mantra of "do nothing" congress coming from the mouth of gooper hypocrites that smashed all records for filibuster...
well there's not much of a difference between george bush and hillary clinton as far as policy goes so who cares. if you want more of the same vote for hillary...
Of course, it will work.
It worked for Sarkozy. He campaigned on "change", in spite of the fact that he is from the same party as Chirac: U.M.P. It was completely absurd but the media never questioned it.
Considering how Sarkozy learned so many tricks from Karl Rove, it's only fitting that he gave something back!
The wingnuts have treated Shillary as the democratic nominee for the last four or so years; it's all part of their grand scheme.
During the FOX GOP debates, Clinton's name was uttered 45 times while Bush's name was invoked only 7 times... but only twice by actual candidates -- once by Paul and once by Thompson. Supporting the Bush suicide is suicide for the Repubs, and they know it. Me, I'm still waiting for someone to ask them the question... "Would you seek the endorsement of President Bush, the leader of your own party?"
oops. My bad. I meant to say, "Supporting the Bush presidency is suicide for the Repubs, and they know it." Mea culpa.
Yep, the key is the press. But you know the MSM thrives on stories about tragedy, corruption, scandal, etc. Do you blame them for rooting for a republican nomination?
Kbob @ 6:
You really expect Leslie Blitzer or Tweety to ask that?
Sha_Rules @ 1:
The good part is the dumb Americans don't vote!!
The dems need to dump hillary for anyone else. The repugs are counting on her as a candidate. If they don't have her to attack they'll be that much weaker. If they do have her I'd say the dems are sunk from the beginning.
ronald @ 10:
Oh no? Then how do you explain Busholini's 2 terms?
ronald @ 10:
Yeah they do. They'll be the ones asking where they can vote for shrub again.
If you want change, vote Kucinich!

This is major news, and C&L readers need to know.
Dr. Acula @ 12:
Diebold.
ronald @ 10:
WHAT????!!!! If only that were true. I've never seen a statement I disagree with more on this site ... and I've seen some doozies.
Or were you just being sarcastic?
American public is easily swayed any way they make the wind blow.
While watching the Republican debates I wondered did I just wake up from a coma and Hillary Clinton was President not W. Bush?
Ploys like this is not just working on the right its working with Democrats too.
Even with all the ding dongs running on the Republican side don't be shocked when a Republican is president next term.
I should say: Diebold, voter intimidation, registration purges and out and out fraud.
This is true. I saw a Romney commercial on tv the other day that ended with the slogan, "If you want change, vote republican." I had to make sure I read it right because I am sure that the repubs have been the ones in charge for the last 7 years.
Their strategy is laughable. And I don't think it's going to work this time. I see the repukes getting buried in '08. Have you noticed that the repuke campaign for president seems almost irrelevant in the press? That's no accident. People are starting to realize they've been duped by these fuckers.
Of course, we knew it all along but that's another story.
"I certainly don’t blame the Republicans for trying to do it. It makes sense, since their boy is an epic failure and the original Clinton is still very present in people’s minds."
I don't blame them either. Especially the Republicans that actually want or hope to get re-elected sometime in the future. The Bush Administration is like a ball and chain that they have to drag around.
Heck, its even filtered down to me but at a different level as I'm sure its filtered down to other veterans. I served in the Marines during George HW Bush and the Clinton years. I used to like to walk around in my old Marine Corps sweatshirt to cut the yard or something. I did it out of pride. Not any more. In fact, and I really hate to say this, but I flat out lie to people and say that I never served at all or I make it very clear to them that I did not serve under George W. Bush. I do that now because as soon as someone sees me wearing my sweatshirt or something else with the Marine Corps logo on it they automatically link me to Bush and what he has done. I do not like being linked at all to that crooked Administration. Its a shame but I bet there are other veterans as well that do the same thing.
Don't forget the x-factor is W himself. He is after all the 'Decider' and is still 'relevant'. He has the job and can wield his veto pen or whatever tool he has to make himself seen and heard. No matter what happens W will not be soon forgotten. After what he's wrought with his reckless Iraq invasion and occupation, it will be a 'gift' that will keep on giving for many years to come. And all because of W.
Funny how the Repuke candidates seem desperate to distance themselves from the failed adminstration while embracing its failed policies.
Not so funny: their patently hypocritical strategy appears to be working.
The Republicans are doing the prudent thing. Get away from “George the Insane”. Can you imagine anybody or any institution wanting to pay this turd to talk? Clinton gets something like $100,000 a speech. What do you think Bush would get. $1.98? What in the hell would he talk about? No wonder the Republicans are pretending he does not exist. He’s a Dumbass.
navyswan @ 20:
Nope. Remember, the Democrats have been the ones "running Congress" for the last two years, and therefore the failure to push anything past the President's overactive veto reflex rests completely with the Democratic Party's obvious inability to get anything done. Didn't you learn in Civics class that the breakdown of power is:
* The Legislative Branch (Congress) makes the laws;
* The Executive Branch (President) ignores the laws;
* The Judicial Branch (Courts) makes sure the President's cronies don't get in trouble for it?
Joe O. @ 22:
I used to wear my husband's Navy sweatshirt around all proudly. Ha! If you met me, you would never know that my husband is active duty. I know exactly how you feel. I hate what Bush has done.
navyswan @ 20:
Maybe if you want a change back to the 4th century?
pussy_galore @ 28:
Did I confuse you with how I wrote this? Let me clarify. The posted story here on C&L is true. I just saw one of these revisionist history commercials from Romney on tv.
Hillary is really just another Republican. Bill was the same way. Remember how he took all the Republican ideas and made them his own? It really fucked with the Republicans. I am telling you that Hillary will be right of center. The only good thing about her is that the Republicans hate her so much they can’t see straight. They don’t even know why they hate her. Ask one. Why do you hate Hill so much? They won’t be able to answer or their answer will not make sense.
See The Big Picture @ 26:
THE DEMS HAVE HAD THE MAJORITY IN CONGRESS
FOR 10 MONTHS.
Ron @ 31:
Calm down now. I believe he was being sarcastic here. I may be wrong though.
Now if the Democratic congress hasn't done anything to change the direction of the country even with the ability to override the veto (or at least take a principled stance instead of looking for political expediency), then what good will a Democratic president do?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying vote republican. But the distinction between the two parties is blurry. Their rhetoric was idealized in the last election and their actions ended up supporting Bush policies (save a few principled democrats).
There are ONLY two candidates who seem to be proposing real substantial change and that are not speaking in the political "code" that the other candidates are using. They are Paul and Kucinich. I hope they end up as running mates.
Ron @ 31:
First of all, Ron, no need to shout, thanks.
Second, apparently the <sarcasm> and <ludicrous Republican talking point> tags didn't come through correctly on your browser. I suppose it could be construed that that was my bad, so sorry. Damn these independent browsers with their browser-specific tags!!
That's right. They will claim "This is Change" and of course, it will be either Hillary or Giuliani! There's your change! Doesn't it look grand? The media has already removed Gravel from tonight's debate because he dared ask Hillary a question that her handlers hadn't prepped her for... next will be Kucinich. We can't wait for Nov. 2008 to send them a strong message. If we want change, we have to make it.

See The Big Picture @ 34:
So you are saying that your comment is sarcasm? I took as genuine.
Dr. Acula @ 5:
The thing is, the Democrats have gone along with it just fine instead of picking their own candidate.
You guys caught us.
The right-wing extremist plan is to chose Clinton, Inc. as your candidate for you, just like you chose Bob Dull for us in 1996.
The reason we want her, of course, is that Clinton, Inc. can't win without a Ross Perot to split the conservative vote.
It's just as bad as when the repugs blame the democratic congress. If they make a statement though, they just keep repeating it. Then it becomes a lie. If they keep repeating the lie, it becomes the truth.
i think the same thing every time i see the commercial. a bush clone candidate claiming "change begins with us".
romney has the integrity of a used car salesman who needs to pay off gambling debts.
The gone (but not gone) karl rove continues to do his nefarious work!! If the repukes can keep the religious nuts happy, they still may have a chance if they select the correct candidate, and if there is indeed an election in 2008.
I don't yet see the "correct" candidate on the repuke side, nor do I have much hope that there will actually be an election. There is too much saber rattling going on re. Iran, and the drumbeat of another pre-emptive war is becoming ever more intense as cheney comes out of his evil cave.

ronald @ 10:
Ummm...actually..I think they do vote...in very large numbers...I think they're partly to blame for the last 7 years, lol!!
Captain Kangaroo @ 37:
Y--you did?! Wow, I must have a dryer wit than even I thought...
Can someone please explain to me how "the failure to push anything past the President’s overactive veto reflex rests completely with the Democratic Party’s obvious inability to get anything done" could be taken as a genuine comment?? Because I honestly don't get it.
Isn't Hillary an enabling party to the Republicans by insisting she's the presumptive candidate? My head nearly exploded when her proxy General Wesley Clark, appearing on Bill Maher, insisted that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was a terrorist organization (you can watch the entire episode here). Didn't he just tuck her in bed with B-sh by endorsing the method and message about Iran?
Sure, why not?
Every failure from Shit Midas if looked at squinty-eyed enough was "actually" Clinton's fault!
The buck stops after Bush leaves office.
These assholes are unbelievable.
ronald @ 10:
They gave us bush didn't they?
As long as they are pretending Billary is president, lets make sure she doesn't get re-elected in 2008. Vote Edwards, Obama, Dodd, Richardson, Kucinich!!!!! Anyone but Billary for god's sake!
The "dumbing down" of America is in full swing. This country ranks 29th in math and reading scores in the world. 29th! Great ejumucayshun system we have here!
Funny, I thought mean always called the little lady when it was time for a change.
It won't work. People are so pissed at Bush and his entire administration that the Dems will be throwing his name out and tying it to every Republican candidate running. The Rethugs can't run away from him for long, because Bush won't let them. He is tied around their neck like an albatross, and with every major blunder he makes - from the SCHIP veto to Blackwater - he just reinforces their appearance as Bush-enablers. Now if the Dems could get a spine, they just might avoid being perceived as Bush-enablers, too.
Don't expect Hillary to subpoena the Bush Cabal in 2010 for economic crimes if thats what your thinking.
BINGO!
And this is surprising to us??? Even if she's elected they're going to be relentless on her. Not her policies...but her home life, clothes, "shrill" laugh, Billy Boy and on and on. Does she actually bring anything new, fresh and bold that no other Dem candidate has?? Uh, Nope.
Ok, Look. I'm an Edwards guy but let's face it, she's a lightning rod in a hurricane. Edwards, Richardson, Gore...even Hillary can all win but who do you want up there taking the heat?? We need someone with a lot less baggage and a lot better policies.
A.B.B.H.
Dom @ 52:
Not every republican running has gotten on board with Bush's policies though, even if it is 7 of 8. The dems don't seem to realise that they didn't win the 2006 elections because they had a great message, or because they inspired people. They won it because they were facing the most incompetent congress and administration in U.S history. They were sent to congress to counter the Bush/Cheney dictatorship, yet all they've done is kneel and cower. When they win the 2008 election, it'll only be due to the fact that Bush is the worst president in U.S history.
And yet despite this Hillary is the leading candidate for the democratic nomination. I'm not a democrat, but I can't understand why when she's probably got more in common with every retarded unprincipled republican that still supports Bush. Surely the democrats should be taking a virtually guaranteed election to nominate someone who can actually make a difference.
Yes, Gary @ 56, the Dems SHOULD do a lot of things!
The GOP is running their campaign the same way the dubster is trying to sell the failed war. They are stumping that if the American electorate opts for change in the form of a Democratic candidate, the results will be catastrophic; worse than even another failed, tragically incompetent, corrupt, ideologically driven, Republican.
Hillary....Republican candidate, what is the difference? She is in the pocket of big business and nothing will change. We need to look at her as she really is, a Republican in disguise. They don't care which one wins, her or one of theirs because the result will be the same.
If we want change in this country we have to move as far away from the mainstream candidates as we possibly can, and pray that the support is so high that even the corrupt wing that will try to steal the vote by rigging the machines can't overcome it.
They are all saying Kucinich can't win but in truth he is ahead in the polls (at least those who give his name as an option). We need to seriously take a look at this candidate. He is different and I believe would make the changes needed to take back this country. Ron Paul is another one. I would love to see him as VP. One would balance the other nicely.
Another thought I have had, since Bush was not president elect either in 2000 or 2004 could we automatically undo all the damage he has done? Aren't his supreme court appointees illegal since he is not president elect? Can we remove these clowns since they were not appointed by a legitimate president? It seems to me we can undo a lot if we prove his presidency was stolen and therefore null and void.
Reporter stands at the entrance to a mega-church and stops worshippers exiting and asks them a single question...
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Old Man: Women should not be leading!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Young woman: God is not happy that she is killing children in Iraq.
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Teenage boy: I didn't vote for her!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Old Woman: Somewhere in the bible it says, in cloaked verse of course, that Hillary will be the doom of the United States of Christianity. And you can quote me on that!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
40 Year Old Male: If she doesn't begin to do the Lord's work this country will suffer a great plague of indifference and the Jesus will swoop down and cast the sinners all to hell!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Man in wheelchair: She's the reason God will allow another terrorist attack on our beloved soil! She's the worst president ever! She will burn in hell right along with the Liberal Media and the abortionists and Harry Potter lovers and hippies!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Woman on Oxygen Machine: Women don't need to be leaders! They need to take care of their children! I wish the sixties had never happened! Hillary stole the election in 2000 and 2004! The only way the heathens can get elected is to steal them! She's stacked the Supreme Court with leftists and baby killers! She's completely ignored the pressing environmental issues! She should be tried in the Hague and then on People's Court and then let God sort them out!
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
Preacher: She's a jezabel! God will strike her down! I pray for this country! I pray for the flag! I pray for our children! I pray for my flock of sheep that they will vote her out of office and elect a godly man to the seat of God's beloved country! I pray!
(A lightening bolt comes down and strikes the preacher on the head and another strikes the churches massive steeple and the whole church bursts into flames and the congregation runs screaming down the street. Massive chaos surrounds the area and the worshippers begin to quake with fear.)
Reporter: What do you think of our current president?
God: He's a schmuck!
You don't get it:
The GOP/PNAC ilk has been whining that Hillary will be president in the next election ever since 1999. It's almost as if they want her to be president... and this is exactly the reason why she's the worst choice for the DNC candidate.
Johnny2Bad @ 55:
Actually I don't think Hill's "baggage" matters. It doesn't matter which democrat gets the nod, the press will make stuff up and run with it. Even someone from the outside who is squeaky clean, all you'll be hearing is "what's he hiding?" The press will chew up and spit out ANY democrat. I think all we can hope for is the general public finally realizing the MSM is completely full of it.
The Republican's best candidate is Killer Hillary.
Peace.
Howard Rourke @ 62:
Anyone who thinks Bill Richardson will get more pics on the cover of the tabloids than Billary, is fast asleep.
OT: Yahoo News is reporting that the Corps of Engineers is saying that the largest dam in Iraq is in danger of collapsing and if that occurs as many as 500,000 citizens of Mosul and Baghdad are in harms way. A $27Million Dollar reconstruction project, by U.S., has been
marred by incompetence and mismanagement...Surprise, Surprise. News article says it is
the most dangerous dam in the entire World.
The scariest thing about a Hillary presidency: If you think she's hawkish now, imagine what she'll be like when she's in control of the armed forces. She'll actually have to back up the tough talk if she wants a 2nd term.
Wouldn't surprise me if she triangulated us right into attacking Iran.
Johnny2Bad @ 64:
I see you didn't read my comment. Either that or your hatred of Hillary is really showing. But there is no point explaining. Your mind is closed and you will not listen. so good luck with you little election next year. Hope it all works out for you.
Bye bye now.
ronald @ 10:
Sure they do. They fit it in between sex with their cousins and washing the pickup.
kudos to Alan Colmes for destroying Dick Morris last night

Ok ok...I was teasing! I'm JOKING. I'm JOKING! I just couldn't resist! I'm SORRRRY!
(hiding under the desk as a hail of pumps and handbags rein down)
Joementum @ 66:
You almost get the feeling already that Iran is going to be "her war". I saw a disturbing Zogby poll over on Raw Story that indicates a slight majority in the US wants to bomb Iran. About 50% want Bush to do it now, and the other half want to wait for the next president to do it.
None of this matters. The rigged voting machines and upcoming voter roll purges will ensure a rethug will win the presidential election. My betting money's on Romney.
FSM help us!
If you want change do not vote for Hillary. Her husband was President for eight years and did nothing of major progressive substance. I think this proves everything about the Clintons: After eight yeas in office Bill does an interview with Rolling Stone saying marijuana should be legal. Um, why didn't you do anything about it during your Presidency then? He was not a good leader. Hillary and her ilk are DLC types - faux liberals. And of course the right lashes onto the liberal label, but even they know a Hillary Presidency is more of the same. Sure liberals will be thrown a few scraps here and there, but at the same time she'll be bombing Iran - being a tool for the Zionist - allowing telecoms companies immunity. Hillary will be better than the Republicans in the slightest way and atleast with a Republican President the dems in the congress can stonewall everything and bring gridlock. All the while Bill's Nafta can keep draining the middle class of every last cent.
Well considering all the outrageous, ridiculous and sometimes even unspeakable horrors that is the result of the GOP rule in the last eight years it wouldn't surprise me if they tried. After all, there was that time Cheney was caught authoring the reclassification of mountains of declassified records to classified state again, then tried to have it destroyed, as if certain events never happened. Could the GOP actually erase the Bush Administration from public memory.....then blame everything on Bill and Hillary Clinton?
naschkatze @ 71:
Jerry @ 74:
Why shouldn't we put some blame on Clinton. He kept those sanctions going that killed how many Iraqis? Starved people to death basically and that's okay? He put in no fly zones that basically told the Iraqis they could not control there own airspace. He went into Serbia like a king - that had nothing to do with America and we should never have gotten involved. He kept the sanctions on Cuba. What did Bill ever do that was of any value diplomatically? He buckled time and again to the right. He was too busy getting blowjobs that he couldn't think about foreign policy? We need someone to go in there and just do what needs to be done. This nation needs to be changed dramatically.
Jerry @ 74:
Yep.
I have three TV propaganda machines in my house - and they all used to be on at various points througout the day. They are now all UNPLUGGED most of the time.
I'm also letting my local stations know this - especially after hearing about the Fox "Wargasm" that took place on Sunday.
If ad revenues are based on viewership - maybe the big media types will start to wake up.
“If you want change, vote Republican!”
so stupid, it just might work
how dumb do you have to be to fall for 'Vote for change, vote Repub'
that's like putting blinders on a horse and telling it there was never a horseman on it's back for the last 7 years. Usually, a horse wouldn't fall for it..
Howard Rourke @ 67:
"Hatred of Hillary"??? Yeah, that's it. Not an honest disagreement but irrational "hatred". Oh and I hate America, too. Maroon.

Johnny2Bad @ 87:
No thanks, more from the swiftboaters and a convicted felon. I refuse to vote for Hillary but I will not watch the lies and slander from these people who brought down the great country we once knew.
Then again, this is a typical repug, a convicted felon. Big surprise there.
i hope, i hope, i hope, the republicans are stupid enough to go with this pr campaign of "hide th' shrub".
the democrats could lay low and totally ignore it until the month or two before the election, then let loose with a veritable barrage of smartly edited film clips from the last 2 terms that would make an absolute laughing stock of the shrub and at the same time lay waste to the gop's strategy to sweep him under the table.
there's nothing americans like more than public ridicule, especially when it's well done and entertaining.
there's not a chance in hell they can hide th' shrub. their chances will get smaller the harder they try. at the same time, alongside the democrats concerted response there will arise even more creative unflattering homegrown vids on teh internets staring mr. "i can help campaign too 'cause i'm still relevant" than you'll be able to shake a stick at.
it'll be a political bloodbath.
wait for it. buy plenty of popcorn to munch while you watch and laugh.
the ones i expect to see include clips containing:

"when do i get to pee?" to condi at the un.
"backrubbing my best gal angela merkel"
"helluvajobbrownie"
"mouthbreathing 101 and my pet goat"
"i'm the decider"
"it's not the time to play gotcha"
"i vetoed kids health insurance because of the socialist menace"
"my mom says this is working out quite well for them"
"strolling hand in hand with my bestest saudi prince"
"losing myself in putins soulful eyes"
Doggiebobo @ 88:
I'm not saying its got any merit (not the point)....But this is a preview of the BS they'll throw at her. Nothing will ever get done. NOTHING.
They want her in the WH. Salivating over the prospect. I'm just not prepared to make it possible for her to get revenge on the "Clinton haters" by voting for her. We can get along just fine without a Bush or Clinton in the WH.
Johnny2Bad @ 87:
YOU are the one who needs to wake the f-up!!!!
budda @ 76:
Oh c'mon....don't split hairs. Bill Clinton wasn't the most perfect President, but if you compare his Administration to the WarPigs, there is no contest. I didn't agree with everything he did, but at least he had a foreign policy, other world leaders actually liked him. At least he didn't bomb a sovereign country back into the stone age killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Thousands of our military was not sent into and illegal occupation and sacrificed for no good reason. Yeah, Clinton lied about a blowjob, but no one died. George Bush lied and thousands have died and are STILL dying. Bill Clinton has more diplomacy and statesmanship in his little finger (and apparently his penis) than little Georgie could ever hope for and he didn't shit on the Constitution. Plus he left office with a National Surplus. As far as Hillary is concerned, she has no more business being president than George does.
It's time for the Democratic Party to put on their thinking hats and respond to this treacherous repug machine. Lies, distractions, distortions, and pure bull shit have been their wild card in the last two presidential elections.
Face it...they managed to turn a war veteran with a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts into a coward and traitor, and made an AWOL goof off into a war hero. Help me!! This isn't a shell game..this is a strategy that they are damn good at.
It's time to out smart the fox. (pardon the pun) We need to focus this race on "bush's war", "bush's failures", "the repug rubber-stamp Constitution shredders", etc, etc. It's time to focus on the truth!! But call these bastards out on their lies and bullshit with FIRE!!
HulksHeroes @ 94:
Right on Hulk...and I'm not lining up behind you, I am "out front" and will do everything
I can(legally) accomplish to get the truth out and to get rid of ALL those dishonest/dispictable Repigs.
Jerry @ 93:
The wildest example of this is the interview Tim Russert did withe the Bepearled Hatchet Woman, Sally B. Smith on Saturday Night. They agreed that Hillary fighting for her health proposal in the early 90's, is the reason 40 million people don't have health insurance.
.
To all RonBots everywhere...
Why should I vote Republican?
Why is Ron Paul a registered Republican, still?
I know the Republican Party is desperate for change, however Ron Paul is not the change America needs from the Republicans. That's like saying elect Hillary to improve the Democratic Party. Doesn't work that way. BOTH Parties respond very well to refusal.
I refuse to vote for Fascist Political Parties. This includes both the Republicans and their sympathizers, the Democrats.
.
Sha_Rules @ 1:
Derrrp what's that supposed to mean.
You're right John, Hillary hasn't been president since 2000.
And I've got to say, really, what can you blame Hillary for?
Oh yeah:
"In the wake of 9-11, it wasn’t just George W. Bush telling the world "every nation has to be either with us or against us." It was Hillary, as you can hear for yourself.
In October 2002, during the debate about giving Bush authorization to invade Iraq, it wasn’t just Dick Cheney telling the world in that Saddam Hussein had links to Al-Qaeda. It was Hillary, from the floor of Congress.
And in February 2005, it wasn’t just John McCain claiming that democracy was taking root in Iraq, and that the insurgency was in its last throes. It was Hillary, standing right at John McCain’s side.
Yeah. So President Hillary would be soooooo much better about Iraq. Clap louder, everybody. Make it come true."
Bob Harris
Democrats, keep sending this message.
When a democrat is president: oil = $20 per barrel.
When a republican is president: oil = $90 per barrel.
That is all voters need to know. That republicans are the high maintenance party.
"quite frankly I would love to see the country live under four years of a Rudy dictatorship"
Frankly I agree. The only way things are going to get any better is for things to get much worse - worse enough that even the moron inbred majority of Americans can start to have a glimmer of understanding of how wrong and evil their neocon fuck-everybody-but-the-rich government is. America is going to have to become ashes before it can rise from them.
If you want change vote for Kucinich in the Primaries! If tot Dennis, then consider Bill Richardson. Lets loose the nostalgia for the 90's and look to the future.

she's the worst choice because of what she has done, not because the repugs demonize her.

it has only ever been about the money. "disaster capitalism" by Naomi Klein says it all. we're drowning in it in NOLa.

The odds against this story being covered by any MSM network are astronomical. The collective soul they had, has been sold long sgo.
Only, and I mean only in f--king America. Pass the chips, would ya?

Oddly, sadly, amazingly, I understood it in the first, uncorrected post, as Bush has hung, is hanging, and will continue to hang himself: hence, "the Bush suicide" made perfect sense.
I don’t know if anyone’s noticed, but George W. Bush is being disappeared from the presidential campaign..
What????
Stupid saying. He has never been in the campaign. No one is running against him because he isn"t running.
The "new" Dem voter is pretty stupid too. I mean, another Clinton? So the country is divided between two idiot camps of voters who long for the possibilty of 28 straight years of Clinton/Bush? What's next, Chelsea Clinton in 2016, and the Bush twins in 2024? Clean the crap from your brains voters..... especially democrats, don't BECOME mindless ballot stuffers like the neo-cons. THINK.
Chelsea would be good.
How dare you suggest the child of Hill & Bill
has little more to offer as opposed to the idiot Bush
child who holds office?
If you vote HRC you are voting Republican.
