Blue America's Mo' Better Dem series: Donna Edwards Fundraiser!

There's an analogy to be made with Nancy Pelosi headlining a fundraiser for one of these Blue Dog Democrats in Congress, Al Wynn. Wynn has no Republican challenger. Pelosi is going there to make sure Wynn can beat a brilliant, energetic and progressive real Democrat, Donna Edwards. If Donna Edwards were in Congress instead of Al Wynn, Maryland would have one of the nation's sharpest public policy minds at work for it. And America would have someone who understands what a progressive is and understands that the role of government is not just self-enrichment for officials. Maybe a little bit. Keep in mind the way the economy is going we dodged a bullet recently but are apparently about to step on a hand grenade.

I'll bet that if Hillary wins she'll put Pelosi in a high position in her administration. Someone should ask her directly if she would do that. Pelosi is a corrosive establishment Dem who is worthless, an impedement to Constitutional action (Impeachment) who should be sent packing.
Umm... can we support Donna because she's absolutely gorgeous? I mean, that smile could power Baltimore for a few days.
They stole that election, so I'm glad to see Edwards running again.

No she isn't, and her record PROVES that.
Speaker Pelosi is one of the most progressive voices in Congress, and she has already proven her ability in the job. She was elected UNANIMOUSLY, and still enjoys the caucus' support.
You can slander such a good person because you fantasize about her 'true' nature, but this is a person with a SOLID record of Progressivism, and she is NOT 'establishment' in the sense you are using that word. Her votes over the last 20 years prove that -- all you've got is namecalling.
Check Matt Stoller's piece on the Open Left link above. Pelosi is fundraising for this Bushdog in a 77% Democratic district. Why? Pelosi is a Bushdog (and can't stand progressives - they protest too much and don't just watch her "lead").

We need to get our forces together in that state and see to it this bastard does not win.
We have to not only defeat all the republicans in office, but get rid of democrats that vote against policy also and this shit is a clear example of one that needs to get his ass kicked out of office.
To do so will be sending a clear message to those democrats that think just because they carry the name democrat, they will continue pulling the shit they are pulling and we will not retaleate.
Bull shit. That is exactly what we plan to do for their asses as soon as we get rid of the republicans and they think we are going to forget all the bills they voted for or against, that have simply devistated this country.
They are in for a supprise and we need to start in the States where these bastards are and as an alternative, we have good strong progressive people who are willing to stand up for democracy and the constitution where they will not. We need to join forces and kick their asses out of office and get good responsible people in.

Name names. I'm a bit sick of people talking about what 'we' need to do, when they don't even have details. WHICH people do you want to remove. Because I have news for you--trying to remove Rep. Pelosi is the stupidest effort to date. I can name offhand at least 100 Republicans who need to be removed for REAL reasons.

Damn, Paul. Take your nose out of her ass! Pelosi is worthless as a leader. Under her leadership, Congress has a lower approval rating than DUHbya. And it's way lower than before she took over. What has she done that she said she was going to do?
She has no guts and has continually left fellow Dems twisting in the wind at the first sign of a Con backlash. She folds like an origami swan as soon as a Con walks into the room. She's a coward with no will to fight.
And have you seen the way she looks at DUHbya? She always looks like she wants to hump him. Remember her smiling from ear to ear when DUHbya invited her to the WH after she was crowned Queen of the House? Egads!! I thought she was gonna jump him right there.
See, lots of Dems are disappointed in her performace as leader. That's our right. A lot of Dems worked hard to make sure our side took the House and Senate. Why? Well, not so she and Reid could act like a couple of cowards. We did it so they could be in a position to not only fight for us and our ideals but for the whole country. They haven't done that. Not even close.
So Paul, instead of attacking your fellow Dems on a personal level, how about you actually tell us why we shouldn't feel such contempt for her? Or, just like the Cons, is personal attacks all you have?
