Mike's Blog Round Up
Well, I'm SteveAudio, and it's time for my last jam session here. I want to thank Mike, Nicole, bluegal, and especially Il Maestro, John. It's been fun this week, and I look forward to doing it again sometime.
When the wind blows. . . Fall-out shelters? Nuclear war with David Bowie as the soundtrack?
I will let you down, I will make you hurt. . . waterboarding is controlled drowning in which fluid enters the lungs, and it carries with it the risk of brain damage, internal trauma and death. But that's not important right now. I faxed my Senator, DiFi; here is the letter and her addresses.
Oh, you're so down home girl. . . Did Hillary play the "gender card", or is she, you know, a girl? And has Hillary forgotten the "Vast Right-wing Conspiracy?"
And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime. . . Do Evangelicals see Africa as the path to theocracy? And speaking about Africa, is Obama Black enough, or intolerant? Is he tough enough?
If I were a king, if I had everything . . . Only one word to say. Rudy. Oh, and what about Bin-Laden. Wasn't that him I saw over there?
Eat me, drink me, this is only a game. . . Some dietary advice: Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!!! And a heck of a good film.
It's been a blast, hope everyone had some fun, I know I did. Stop by my place when you get a chance, we (my co-bloggers and I) try to inform and entertain, and hopefully don't step on our tongues too often. Oh, and have someone walk you to your car when you leave tonight. Some guy with a saxophone has been wandering the parking lot muttering to himself.

Should we have a water boarding demonstration outside of the White House?
Ben @ 1:
Oh. First and second...
So waterboarding 'carries with it the risk of brain damage?'
That explains a lot.
Especially Bush. I'll bet when ol' H.W. was running the CIA, li'l G.W. drove him so nuts he had him waterboarded. That's why bid G.W. is demented, literally, and doesn't remember a thing.
That's probably also why ol' H.W. bursts into sobs whenever he sees G.W.
So it's not horrific disappointment, as we thought, it's guilt.
Bad Morning Everyone. . . (Bush Speak)
Maybe a massive labor strike will get some attention

Just in..breaking....Musharreff just pulled a coup on himself. State of Emergency, surrounded supreme court
Fine* American Waterboarding by Feinstein-Schumer LLC. *we use only Vichy Sparkling Mineral Water...
No big deal in Pakistan. Just another of our allies ending democracy. Its OK though, Musharreff uses torture just like we do. He hates representative government, just like bush does. One big happy world order.
Breathtakingly misleading? I'd say yes, someone was.
Video: Clinton takes on Russert, says letter was no cover-up
"The implication was that in the last few weeks since she'd been a candidate, I had endeavored to cover up records involving her. You agree with that? That's what people thought when they heard that question," Clinton said. "Here are the facts."
He asserts the letter in question is five years old, involves Hillary only incidentally and requests that the National Archives speed up the release of certain documents, not slow it down.
The letter did ask the National Archives to speed up the process, but on Bill Clinton's directive for certain key exemptions:
... communications directly between the President and the First Lady, and their families, unless routine in nature.
This is specifically what Tim Russert asked her about. Yet Bill wants you to believe Tim was the one being
misleading.
And he even wags his finger to let you know he's being sincere.
Thanks for the waterboarding pieces especially. That's a good roundup on its own right there!
While Hillary was crying out over the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (which does have a catchy ring to it doncha think -better than 'PNAC', which makes me think of Pinochle, a rather benign associative Jedi mind trick if you ask me), Bill was busy doing what? (Besides getting impeached.) Why, bombing Iraq of all things of course.

Margolis has several missives on Iraq from that period archived here.
I think the Clintons fights *and* [Bush] associations all seem to broadly turn upon Arkansas, the Company, and the [Drug] Business. Okay, scratch out my ponderin' and lemme note the arms people have switched support to her in this race. Of all candidates.
Iraq is no longer the #1 recruiting tool for Al Qaeda.
If the DHS and the FBI were on the ball, they'd investigate the fact that young, illegal alien Muslims all over the U.S. are volunteering, as a 'public service', to man all the Suicide Hot Lines.
Hmmmmm.
Iraq Is Just The Beginning
