I was referencing the "Values Voters" who made gay rights and gay marriage wedge issues in previous elections. Tolerance of homosexuality is very cool (and the right thing to do)...but it isn't common on the Republican side of the aisle. Rudy lived with a committed gay couple after Donna Hanover threw him out of the Gracie Mansion.

The quacks on the right have been bellyaching for weeks now that they'll go shopping for a third party candidate if Rudy gets the nod. My opinion? What's going through Pat's mind (besides his ass) is:
1) Endorse Rudy
2) Moderates will turn away from him with that kind of endorsement
3) Far righties would have never voted for him, no matter what the endorsement
4) Rudy doesnt get the nomination
5) Pat and his minions no longer have to make good with their third party threat.
