What Will Bill O'Reilly Have To Go Crazy About Every Night?
Rosie O'Donnell says there will be no deal between her and MSNBC.
Hmmmm....maybe now's the time to start a petition to get David Shuster or Rachel Maddow a chance at the slot...

Maybe Billo will have an anurism from lack of Rosie coverage.Frist?
Rosie should submit an app to CBS, Moonves is crazy enough to hire any POS female, look at Couric and Storm.
MADDOW!!!! MADDOW, MADDOW, MADDOW!!!
No thanks to David Sheister.
$0.02
David gets a lot of air time now, although not enough. I would vote for Rachael getting a slot and sending Tucker back to wherever the hell he came from.
I don't care who they get just as long as they get rid of the batshit crazy Scarborough and his hand-holder Chuck Todd.
Yea, David deserves his own prime time slot.
I'm with #3. She's smart, engaging, funny, knowledgeable, and would kick ass and take names.
Rachel Maddow would be amazing/ how about a Maddow/Shuster duality? we could have them as a response to Hannity/colmes(lower case c intentionally)
Billo will never run out of topics to go crazy about. He'll just invent a new war every night, like the war on Christmas,etc.etc. Because he's "always looking out for us". But I wouldn't mind seeing Stephanie Miller take Tucker's spot as even another choice. Or Ed Shultz.
Maddow would be a great choice.
She's a rhode scholar, she's telegenic, she's very progressive, she's media savvy, she can be funny, she's a woman and to top it of, she's gay... Her only drawback is she's not an ethnic (take your choice).
Talk about getting under the wingnut's skin...
Locally here, Tom Hartman was replaced with Ed Schultz, when Tom went to Air America. I listen to Ed once in a while and although he is not my favorite by far, he does lobby all the time for a TV show. I think he would be a good choice because I don't that Rachael really wants a daily TV show.
GOOD! Rosie would just bring up 9/11 conspiracy theories every night!! And it would bring every Democrat/Liberal down several notches. We'd be on par with "loony conspiracy theorists"/
either would be fabulous.
Dennis Kucinich.
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/199.html
Oh, c'mon...what will he have to go crazy about?
Easy....Christmas is coming.
Happy HOLIDAYS..BILL-O.
Billo will go crazy over "Islamofascists"(whateverthehelll those are) and Playboy bunnies, just like he's been doing for a while now...
(ohyeah and LOOFAHS....
can't forget da LOOFAS)
Where can we start this petition? Rachel Maddow or Stephanie Miller would be great.
Shuster and Maddow
together? I think it could work.
Lesbian teenagers.
Thank GOD Rosie's not getting a show on MSNBC!
Maddow would be my choice. I can't imagine what kind of mental illness you'd have to be suffering from to think rosie would be a good host for anything, let alone a political show. What are they looking for? The biggest whack-job they can find? Forget it, beck and orly have already cornered the market on crazy. Let's try "intelligent" this time guys... just for a change. Who knows what might happen?
what about Maddow and Miller...the M&M show!!!!
two great women with experience and the ability to express themselves cogently
if Rachel doesn't want every day then they could alternate
if the media was really librul....wouldn't Bushco be impeached by now?
Billo is a psycho. He will undoubtedly claim that his loud public denunciation of GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt was the reason the Rosie deal was killed. Billo will brag that this proves Power & Influence of The Factor.
Y'know, what with Mika and Willie, Joe's not that bad in the morning...every so often his batshit shines,, but they do a good job of regulating Joe...
SAM SEDER ----- Pleezzzze!
Randi Rhodes was my personal favorite for a national network TV show. Randi destroyed her credibility when she got shit-faced drunk, passed out, smashed her grill on New York City concrete; then blamed it on phantom right wing Ninjas.
Sam Seder, Marc Maron, Rachel Maddow, David Shuster would all be winners.
MADDOW!!!!
mrogi @ 27:
randi rhodes is absolutely brilliant. unfortunately, she's also arrogrant, self-absorbed and at times not very gracious. actually, that probably would make a good show.
I for one would LOVE to see Shuster and Maddow have a show. Shuster is one of the best reporters in newcasting, and Maddow is a truth-teller.
I've written to MSNBC several times to try to get this done. But now I can only watch MSNBC on podcast. (sigh)
I'd love to see Maddow have her own show. I thinks Shuster is a sell-out. I still can't get the image of him dancing on stage with Karl Rove out of my head.
mrogi @ 27:
Kind of like when the married with kids O'Reilly destroyed "his" credibility when "he" attempted to have a sexual three-some with two girls, admitted to sticking dildos up his arse, and wanted to rub Persian food on a girl in the shower; then blamed it on phantom left wing Media Ninjas.
if they are really serious about challenging Fox news in Prime Time they should try and steal Maher from HBO
I've been pushing Rachel at NH. I think she would be terrific.
Stephanie Miller kicked ass back in May when she did a week in Imus's old spot that Scarborough ended up getting.
Anything and anybody but Abrams.
You'd figure a man of Dan's pedigree and executive position as News GM @ MSNBC would find it beneath his dignity to do that tabloid crap he does, but I guess not.
If I were Abrams's parents, I'd be mortified, and utterly embarrassed to let anyone know that it's my kid that's making his living that way.
Street level crack-heads have more self-respect.
~Nyc
Mr. Sifter @ 34:
Maher wont go, he's been asked. He likes to say what he thinks in his own language, and that isn't allowed on regular TV. HBO is the only place to hear four letter words pronounced correctly and in context, like
"Fucking Republican"
I vote for Rachel Maddow. She has more common sense and intelligence in her pinky toe than the entire faux twits combined.
Dustin de Wynde @ 36:
For the most part, I like Dan Abrams. Yes, some of his stuff is a bit "tabloidly"; but when he does cover real issues, it's quite evident that his a well educated, well spoken, and common sense commentator.
pissed off patricia @ 5:
The Gates of Hell?
I love David Shuster's savvy and smarts, but please, let's get a strong intelligent savvy woman for this position. There's a ton of guys out there giving their viewpoints and commentaries, I think it's time to counter the Faux bimbos and the Couric bootlickers with someone like Maddow who really knows her stuff and can handle herself with aplomb in every situation.
GO RACHEL!!
Oh, hell, shoot for the moon...
Let's get Mike Malloy in that slot.
~nwa
I agree...Maddow.
Straight Shooter @ 41:
Amen to that.
I am also a big fan of Maddow...also like the earlier suggestion of Ed Schultz. He's a former conservative - Midwestern - hunting/fishing kind of guy. He's basically a fat (sorry Ed), white, redneck type who is a liberal. Tough for the righties to make him a target. How 'bout Maddow/Schultz?
Only Ron Paul will bring integrity to that program
/kook
Have Countdown run for 2 hours, with Keith and Rachel co-anchoring.
pissed off patricia @ 5:
Oddly enough, she used be a regular guest on Tucker's show -- for which I think the twerp deserves a little credit. Maybe, if she gets her own show, she'll return the favor and let Tucker be the wingnut whipping boy.
Maddow has my vote. She's brilliant.
Still better yet, let's work towards getting Bill-O off the airwaves.
Rachel Maddow gets my vote. She's brilliant.
What do you think about getting Bill-O and Fox off of your TV completely?
At the link below you can sign a petition to ask for "a la carte" cable, so you can choose which stations you receive and which stations GET YOUR MONEY!
Help give us the ability to get FOX news off of your television and out of your pocket.
I'm tired of being forced to subsidize FOX by having it included in my cable package.
Dennis Kucinich 08 - If we spread the word, he can win!
I wonder if the Randi Rhodes show would be anything like Martha Stewart, complete with advice for exciting new ways to use vaseline and rubber sheets.
But then that's just me being randy.
I love both Maddow and Shuster. The only strike against Shuster is that he sounds exactly like Kermit the Frog. Seriously. Once I noticed it, I couldn't NOT hear Kermit when he opened his mouth:)
MSNBC needs a 10pm show. I'm tired of the same prison documentary being rerun all the time
Mike Malloy, Bill Donahue, Alex Jones, Dr. David Ray Griffin,
Someone has to have the balls to tell the truth when treason occurs in our country. Anyone that fits that description will do for me.
Maddow Or Schuster Would be great. Maybe even both co-hosting. I like Schuster and have seen him carve up several neo-con apologists while filling in for Chris Matthews. Maddow is brilliant and well informed on most current issues as a Talk show host on Air America.
Send F**ker Carlson over to Faux Noise where he would feel more at home sucking up to righty wing nuts and spouting republican talking points, He'd certainly fit right in!!
Shuster doesn't have much personality if you ask me... I think he would bring in Abrams numbers..... Maddow actually has a sense of humor, she is a great debater, and she is super smart..... my vote is fro MADDOW!!!!!
I vote for Thom Hartmann
As others have said, perhaps MSNBC should eat a little crow and bring Donohue (Phil) back on the air! Donohue and Maddow?
David Shuster deserves his shot... But I would REALLY like to see a Smart and Funny and Informative WOMAN on the TV that isn't Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkkkin.
Bring back Morton Downey Jr.!
oh yeah... he's dead...
I don't like Rosie ... anyone who believes that 9/11 was the result of a controlled demolition is borderline retarded. But she's also loud and obnoxious and reminds me of Rosanne Barr. So I'm happy about this. I'd be glad if David Shuster got the role. He's awesome. Him following Keith would be a great block.
Both Maddow and Schuster would be good choices. However, I think David does a much better job as a reporter than as a host. It would be great if he did segments for Maddow, Hardball, and Olbermann on a very regular basis.
YES YES YES, Rachel Maddow! Anybody who listens to her radio show knows she'd be up to the task. It'd be a nice post-Olbermann personality. The Colbert to his Stewart if you will.
Hah! I already sent an email to MSNBC when I heard about the possible eviction of Tucker. I said that they should give David Shuster his own show. Only thing is, he's the gatherer of a lot of information and excellent reporting on "Hardball" and "Countdown". He's been on Ed Schultz's show a lot lately also. Rachel Maddox would be great too. I'll send another email to MSNBC.
Definitely Maddow!
Rachel Maddow would be the perfect choice.
Intelligent, articulate, funny, female and gay - five more taps on the pin stuck in BO's giant head - hopefully enough to finally make it explode.
Sadly, I'm not confident that the suits at NBC could stand the pressure from their fellow country-clubbers if they actually brought something even remotely close to "balance" by adding a second progressive voice to the MSNBC lineup.
We'll see.
Yeah Rachel Maddow would be great -- but why not Al Franken? Not only is Franken funny but he's a politically savy liberal who showed a ton of balls when he punked Bill O' to his face at some Washington event awhile back (you should run that clip) I thought Riley was going to have a stroke, but he had to sit there a take it and Franken really nailed him
I vote Maddow. She's the best.
workingman @ 65:
Uh, Franken is running for the US Senate for Minnesota, equal time clause would not allow Al to do anything on TV or radio.
Maddow gets my vote. Stephanie is great on her talk show, but she's not much without her mooks. Ed Schultz is too thin-skinned, IMO.
Maddow, hands down, assuming she wants it.
I fail to see the appeal of Rosie O'Donnell. She's not all that smart, has zero to negative charm, and have we forgotten the "ching-chong" incident? Why the hell would I want her as my advocate on the airwaves? The thought of it makes me cringe.
I'm serious when I ask this: WHAT is the appeal of Rosie O'Donnell?
Maddow looks like someone that is on the rise and someone that will be seriously famous by the 2010's. I see very few out there right now trying to break all the way through, she is one of them. She is someone FOX will try to destroy, doubt that it will work.
Andrew C @ 60:
Have you ever seen a video of a plane hitting the pentagon?
Why do defend what you can not see?
Please don't call people names like retarded. You have something against people who question the official gov't account of 9/11, do you have something against retarded people that you would throw that in? Have a real conversation. Backed with facts, like video footage.
With respect and kindness.
Please don't call people names like retarded. [Deleted. We wouldn't dream of it. We will call you off topic, however-Sitemonitor]
How about a Hanctimony & Colmes style show with Goldwater Miller....Cece Goldwater and Stephanie Miller. (goldwatermiller08.com)
Both publicity whores (their words ;) attractive and funny as hell!
But they must bring voice diety Jim Ward and just for his hysterical laughter Chris LaVoie
sam @ 13:
Matt Taibibi of Rolling Stone wrote something similar> Where would you rather live...in a country that tells people to shut up and move along, you're crazy. Or a a country that has an independent investigation into the murder of it's citizens.
I am not saying there is a conspiracy, not saying the gov't or bush did or knew, I am saying that neither of us have ever seen a video of an event that was surrounded by surveillance cameras.
I am not claiming either of us have to be experts in controlled demolition or physics. Simply that neither of us have seen a video, that's it. If a car crashed into a mini mart, the surveillance tape would be on the news across the country that night. How many cameras does the pentagon have? America needs to take it's collective head out of the sand and have an honest, open, independent investigation into this matter.
This is not meant to insult anyone. Especially anyone who may have seen the footage of a plane hitting the pentagon. Anyone out there care to admit they have seen this footage? Why not?
me and myself @ 76:
Your comment was couched in mine. A glitch.
Thanks for the response.
hug the moon @ 78:
Oops, I see now, I knew I wrote that but not there. Thanks.
CAINE @ 75:
Naw. Now you're messin' with my drive time. I need that show to help keep my mind off the 10 hours of pure hell that happens at the end of my drive!
I'm very disappointed in the lack of support Rosie received from people on the left. It seems they were just as outraged at the possibility of Rosie getting a show, as the rightwing whack jobs! One thing about the nuts on the right they stick together right or wrong.
I felt ,after reading comments on C&L yesterday that some were more fearful of pissing off the right, than they were about throwing (as Keith would say) Rosie under the bus. Keith can't do this alone, he needs all the help he can get. I don't agree with everything Rosie has said, I do agree with her stance on the war and this corrupt administration.
It really is time for anti-Bush pro-America people to stop worrying about pissing the folks who are destroying our country off. I hope Rosie will get another chance at having a show.. Real soon.
Now O'Reilly spends the next month telling us how he stopped the O'Donnel deal from happening because he was looking out for us, the folks. Time to find his next target .
rainlillie @ 80:
rainlillie @ 80:
We don't worry about pissing off the RW, we just make fun of them.
Rosie seems to be a backstage issue and a National Enquirer target, in other words she has baggage for someone to fill a prime time slot.
another glitch there, sorry.
Also Maddow is someone on the rise, she is great to listen to on the radio and she would be better than Rosie. She seems calm and collective when facing right wingers on TV.
If I were O'Reilly, what would drive me crazy every night is to keep spewing crap, 24/7/365, day after day after day after day.............And still end each night full of s**t.
And in the morning?
Looking at my blotchey face.
My vote is for Dave Shuster. In fact, MSNBC should get rid ofthe old guard, people like Chris Matthews, who are so entrenched in beltway thinking, and put Shuster in his place.
I am tired of seeing Matthews wax so lovingly when he speaks of so-called "leaders" (like Bush and Guiliani) just because they deal with problems by always "talking tough."
If I didn't know better, I'd think Matthews would love to have Guiliani's baby. It's Shuster's time.
liberalista @ 32:
That was David Gregory.
Randi Rhodes enjoys broadcasting skills that complete blow away Maddow and Miller combined. Randi's only liability is her disturbing personality quirks.
Rachel Maddow. Stephanie Miller. Sam Seder. Thom Hartmann.
It should be like Jon Stewart, only not for laughs, and Hartman should be the guy who keeps it all rolling along.
Laura Flanders can do international news and Robert F. Kennedy and Mike Pappantonio should do a segement on what's going on in the judiciary branch and how it's going to affect us. (RFK- Environmental law....Pap-Consumer Law)
Mike Malloy should be the Jack Cafferty type guy who comes in from time to time and just says what's on his mind.
I'd watch that show. Hell, I'd actually get cable TO watch that show.
My problem with Rosie is that she does a piss poor job representing liberals. I want someone that is articulate and highly informed taking that position. Basically I want someone capable of destroying the right wing hacks out there on air on the fly..
Rosie's Not The only One At MSNBC That Should Be DOA
Rosie is so unappealing it's not surprising Abrams & Co. would have considered hiring her. After all the network already employs several of the most insufferable people on the planet. Chris Matthews is a blathering egotist who seems alternately obsessed with mindless young women,e.g. Erin Burnett and/or professing his man-love for Rudy while gushing over the imagined size of Ghouliani's cajones, Patrick/Bay Buchanan drones on ceaselessly about the latest GOP talking points, Joe Scarborough needles Mika,a.k.a. Church Lady With Attitude and his " Greatly Ah-pree-she-ating " every single stooge (guest) for GE Corp., Tucker Carlson screams inane nonsensical insults, and Dan does double duty repeating Keith's main stories and to exploring ad nauseum the latest " sex scandal".
However,it could be worse. I could be sentenced to watching Hannity or Hume or Blitzer or Dobbs or Kudlow or even God forbid....Jim Cramer!
Give Rachel Maddow the slot! She has a great mind and really can get the heart of the issues. I love her radio show....and to see her on tv each night, and listen to her point of view would actually inform people rather then spin the BS further.
What's not to like?
David Shuster kicks ass!!! But I think that Rachel Maddow is just too perfect to pass up for that job. I'm also sure that she will bring some very interesting progressives to our attention much like KO does & that can only be a good thing.
Oh, by the way, I saw in the above comments that Rachel Maddow is gay. Wow, I always thought she was really cute besides being really smart & likable. Oh well.
