This has to be the funniest political analogy I've seen in a long time.
You could have used your powers to turn into a dinosaur, or another bear to fight him off -- or you, an ice cage! But instead you did a gopher moat...

okay, so the bear represents the republican's cfr/neocons, the wonder twins represent the democrat's cfr/neocons, the pledge represents an investigative journalists (becoming endangered nowadays), the grieving family represents the people.. and the monkey.. well that one is too easy - Bush.

the video implies there was a sincere but stoopid effort. I disagree that any DLC, DSCC or DCCC operative in the house or senate is in any way well-meaning.
Schumer gets zero pressure/consequences for his outrageous betrayal. Why isn't this asshole facing censure, while Feinstein at least is ducking a stoning in the town square with RESULTS.
Well, we've got it HALF-right.
We are statring to call Diane Feinstein "Senator FIND-A-SPINE" because of her total supplication to Bush and the Republicans. Spread the moniker. It fits.
I'm not defending the gopher-moaters out there, but I do want to point out that the censors completely controlled Saturday morning cartoons when SuperFriends was being made, and the heroes were not *allowed* to be violent in any way. The heroes never *punched* anyone. The gopher-moat-like concepts were used because they had to get more and more creative to come up with ways of tying up or otherwise immobilizing the bad guys without actually being violent.
The Wonder twins are Bought! and so is our other Wonder Blue-Dog
