Rudy Giuliani is jetting around the country wooing Bible-thumping conservatives, but his plane is often provided by a king of Sin City.
The Republican presidential hopeful anted up more than $122,000 last summer alone for jets traceable to casino kingpin Sheldon Adelson, whose Las Vegas Sands empire has made him the third-richest American, a Daily News review of campaign records shows.[..]
"You have to follow the money and ask, 'Why is Sheldon Adelson partnering with Rudy Giuliani?'" asked Stacey Cargill, an anti-gambling and Republican Party activist in Iowa, where the nation's first presidential caucus is set for Jan. 3.
Cargill, who views even legal gambling as a magnet for crime and vice, said, "If Rudy Giuliani wants to be the crimefighting candidate, why is he partnering with a large and growing gambling empire?"
Interesting tactic. Giuliani had all but written off Iowa, but apparently has started trying to make inroads. I can't imagine all the friends that Rudy consorts with play well in the heartland. So I'm sure he'll be downplaying Adelson's largesse for the caucus goers. In addition to his large gambling empire, Sheldon Adelson is also a primary funder for Freedom's Watch, the White House propaganda unit headed by Ari Fleischer.

Rudy's otherwise incomprehensible and ongoing candidacy CAN be explained if viewed from one the point of view that the neocons actually do want to destroy America.
I think that a lot of authoritarian plutocrats look to the collapse of the Soviet Union, and see opportunity in the U.S. When the USSR collapsed, organized crime thrived, and corrupt rulers seized power in several former Soviet states.
Imagine the opportunity for corrupt leaders like Rudy if the United States were to collapse into a collection of smaller nations. Naomi Klein might have something to say about the kind of profit that corporations and plutocrats could expect to reap from the collapse of America and the emergence of several smaller nations.
So... seize power, bankrupt the nation with defense spending (just like the Russians did in Afghanistan), and when the U.S. you take over as Supreme Leader of the nation-state of New York City, or the New Confederacy, or the Nation of Texas, or the Country of Gollivornia...

Everything about Rudy looks nasty and untrustworthy. The guy seems the kind who will say or do anything and not worry one bit about it. I'm sure we don't need another bush heavy in the white house.
I always ask myself which of the candidates I would trust with my house and checkbook for a week if I was away. Rudy can't even be considered. I'd probably come home to an empty house and an overdrawn checkbook.

If anyone wanted to use a magic word in the midwest, try mafia. That should endear Rudi to his type of voter, and leave everyone else alone to laugh. If the media would use the word "mafia" they could make short work of the mobsters that are trying to confirm the country is in their pocket.

My son-in-law is the top lawyer for the Sands, Las Vegas and I lost all my respect for him when he accepted this position. He was offered a position in a small law firm back in New Jersey which didn't offer a huge salary. Instead, he took the position at the Sands. He sold his soul for riches.

1) The ones slowing down the issue in front of the Senate about Hedge-Funds paying the same 30 to 35 % in taxes LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE , instead of the 15 to 16 % THAT THEY PAY NOW , are Senator Schumer,Senator Lieberman and Senator Feinstein, among other patriots, in the case of Senator Schumer, the N.Y.T.andthe W.Post run a series were we found out that the Senator has dinners every month with top Hedge-Fund Managers in the best restaurants in Manhattan, and then the Senator's campaign coffers get full, could we find out what the Senator talks about with the Hedge Fund managers? but we know the patriot will say that :"....none of your business and my friend A.G. Mukasey will talk to you...", and that brings in the next question: " why we can't find out who the clients of Mukasey were when he was going between Judge and Private lawyer at Patterson,Belknap, Webb&Tyler ,why the Senate and the Public didn't get the report ? if there is nothing to hide,why the secrecy ? why the taxpayers that pay the salary of the A.G. cannot know who were his clients?

2) And about Wesley Clark, another patriot and with dual citizenship,he must tell the voters how much he got from the Private Equity Investors and Hedge Funds to advice them in all the private data and national security deals they invested in, Clark really must tell us how much from how many contractors has he made since leaving his post at NATO in a rush, time to tell all, Wesley !
3) But it's no use,it's Bloomberg the one they will force down on any nominee, that's why the Media and http://www.c-span.org/ only push Giuliani and Clinton, their staff is loaded with neocons of AIPAC who would force Bloomberg on any of them, and then the elected president gets a scandal or an accident, and we end up with Bloomberg and Lieberman ,Schumer,Podhoretz and Mukasey running the Oval Office like a private club, and only for their Congregation, what a shame and what a criminal fix !
and about c-span, the rest of the pack could demand some equality, we never hear from Paul,Biden,Edwards,Huckabee,Gravel, lately Obama,Richardson,as much as we hear from the "2 fixed" : Clinton and above all Giuliani, c-span really pushes Giuliani over the top,its shameful and unfair, got to stop !, every day ,most of the guests in c-span are neocons from AIPAC and the AEI,one sided and partisan to the max, shame !
and there are 2 more cases of absolute racist abuse:
a) the student that was painting anti-israeli racist remarks in the George Washington University dorm in D.C. was caught with a video camera: she was the same israeli-american student complaining about the painted remarks, so then the Media in the whole country went silent, but if a christian student had do this,the scandal would have lasted 6 months and the christian student would have been arrested and charged with a hate crime,what a shame !
b) in N.Y.C., a Tel-Aviv trained doctor , Dr. Harvey Finkelstein, went for months using the same syringes for different medicines to the same patients, and now hundreds of patients must be tested for hapatitis and HIV, but no disciplinary action was taken against the doctor ...can you imagine any christian doctor doing that ? the scandal? the charges? well, in this case, nothing ! and all this represents a very ugly patern that honest israelis cannot be proud of, what's going on here ? , why the double standard ?, what will the new A.G. ,the orthodox Shas -Ramaz Congregation member Michael Mukasey and Giuliani's adviser do ?

Rudy is even more corrupt than bush, and has even worse judgment! This guy has to be the worst candidate in history. He is an authoritarian liar. The only thing - the *only* thing good about Rudy is that it will be fun to watch his slide (already well begun) from front-runner to forgotten joke. Pass the popcorn, please.
