The Romney Mystery: Recipients Of Anti-Mormon Calls Are Romney Staffers
CNN: Are you confident that nobody who supports you is involved in that push polling?Romney: You've got to be kidding. Obviously the beneficiaries of push polling that attacks me is not me. Somebody else has obviously pushed that forward. I have no idea who it was but....as you know it was a vicious attack on me. An un-American attack on me...I think it's the same kind of conspiracy theorists that you're raising that say we brought down the World Trade Centers ourselves and it turns everything on its head. It's a little silly I think...
OK, this answer by Romney is off the wall. Hmmmm....Makes you wonder though, doesn't it?
Several recipients of the calls, which raised questions about Romney's Mormon faith and military deferments, are prominent supporters of the former Massachusetts governor. ---Roth and Kramer are now the third members of Romney's Iowa campaign to have publicly acknowledged received the calls. Ralph Watts, a state representative in Iowa, who also backs the former governor, was one of the first people to come forward.
And yet, during subsequent press interviews, neither Roth nor Kramer disclosed the positions they held on Romney's team. In fact, as several other reporters have pointed out, both individuals drastically downplayed their campaign associations. And in an interview with the Salt Lake Tribune, Roth took the opportunity to lash out against Sen. John McCain, the presidential candidate initially thought to be behind the calls.
Not disclosing that you're part of the campaign and then blasting John McCain is cause for one of those Drudge flashing red lights. The press has virtually done nothing in regards to reporting on his campaign other than pointing out his constant flip flopping so I wonder---will this get the ball rolling?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Boy what a turkey Romney is...eat the rich!
Whatever you do, try to hang on to whatever shred of individuality is still in your possession.
If thats even possible anymore.
In terms of individuality I am going for a nice Riesling (Fetzer...yes domestic!!) with turkey and friends today.
Comparing yourself and your problems to the tradgedy of the World Trade Center is beyond gruesome. I hate this man, for his incessant flip-flopping, his sickening sleaze disguised as 'family values', I just hate him.
You know what I'm thankful for? That this man has (hopefully) not shot at getting elected.
But don't you know... the election has already been decided. The next nine months will be just another exercise in agony meant to keep progressive activists busy. It's a done deal. The transnationals corporations have already voted.
And then there is Buy Nothing Day in Los Angeles...zombie walk anyone?
apple pie @ 6:
It all ended when Nader was not permitted to enter the debates and was escorted off by security personal in 2000.
If it turns out that Romney supporters were in fact involved in these push polls, this little clip is going to make a very nice ad for LIHOP/MIHOP advocates.
Batshit, the lot of them....
Cat Atomic @ 9:
Ya think???? That someone would do something that to all appearances against themselves?
Nah, its just a conspiracy theory.
Truth Be Told @ 11:
That's what I love about it-- he specifically denounces the notion as a "conspiracy theory". I really hope his campaign turns out to be involved in this. It'd be perfect.
Cat Atomic @ 12:
If today's brain-dead, bought and paid for MSM existed in the 70's, Nixon might still be President.
Romney was obviously behind this, it was evident from the beginning. A) Karl Rove is not working anyone of his opponents campaigns so it was highly unlikely it would be one of them and B) this gives him a "victim" card to play when he goes into his religion. Which really is not that big of a deal, Romney has a lot more to worry about then that, such as his past stances on various political issues and UN like-ability.

Happy Thanksgiving to all at C&L!
...now why is it that anything negative that
happens to a republican is 'un-American'? God
that drives me nuts when they say stupid shit
like that..."Oh, that was un-American of them
to do something like that." Give me a break!
That crap is old and has run it's course.
There is no problem, big or small, that Magic Underwear can't solve.
Romney: 'What? Who? Us? You've got to be kidding!
Inside story: At first, the Mormon staff was unsuccessful at push polling themselves, because they kept getting busy signals. The some smart ex-republican Episcopalian on the staff suggested they dial each other's numbers, instead of their own, and the push polling had been going smoothly ever since.
Now, it's possible that they did this in a way to provide Romney 'plausible deniability', but it's much more likely that he is either being 'disingenuous', or his usual unaware self.
re: Calls
I use VOIP (which for those who don't know is Voice Over Internet Protocol)... the kind of phone service where you don't have to pay toll fees anymore.
I go to my VOIP site and I can block anyone I want, check my message, have them sent to my INBOX or check to see EVERY CALL THAT CAME TO ME or any calls going out from my phone.
There is NO WAY for ANYONE to phone me and not leave their own INFORMATION on my site.
So it would be easy to track anyone calling me.
Why don't we get everyone to use VOIP? You can keep your same phone number.
That way they can't pull this again.
Oh, gawd, another grammatically challenged candidate.
something is off about him. high rate of blinking = lying.
Clearly this new information proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that 9/11 was a vast Mormon conspiracy. j/k
what a weird fucking MOFO.
Romney lies like a whore fucks
lying is Mitt's Linus blanket
The Romney Mystery is what the hell is a Mormon and what do they believe in anyway...
Well, if then mitt romney's suppostion, "I think it’s the same kind of conspiracy theorists that you’re raising that say we brought down the World Trade Centers ourselves and it turns everything on its head" is brought to its logical conclusion, since those who received the anti mormon calls were actually current or past romney staffers, then the conclusion would be that as "silly" as he seems to think it is, perhaps the government did have a hand in downing the trade centers. That lone incident served as fuel for all that has happened since for the past 8 years. the American people have been willing to swallow any dribble no matter how outrageous that the admin. has put out there for them on the premise that they were "protecting us from the terrorists." Who will protect us from our own government??? I'm not naive enough to really believe they could carry out something of this magnitude and then have it remain in secrecy. Yet, I do believe there is some tie there. they had a hand in it.
Mittens just wants attention and wants to make news because he's spending so much money to ultimately fail.
Don't worry mitt we don't hate you because you're a mormon, we hate you because you're lying hypocritical chowder head.
Throughout the first 148 years of the Mormon church it was taught, as an article of faith, that blacks were inferior. God changed his mind and decided that blacks were fully human and entitled to all the blessings of white humans. God communicated this revelation to the LDS elders and racist Mormon doctrine was amended in 1978.
Orangutan. @ 26:
Really, really wierd bullshit.
Quit putting down the Mormons, they're a valuable asset to our society.
Whenever you're stoned, and need to crash, a Mormon pad is the place to do it. They all have at least a year's worth of food stashed in their basements, and when you wake up with the munchies, it's a shame to let all those goodies get past their 'use by' dates.
And if you're horny, there's always an empty wife laying around.
...and don't forget the blueberry flavored milk powder underneath the gas mask.
Who's got weevil's?
