I went to grad school with a Mormon and I currently work with one. I can't say there are any horror stories. They are actually both very friend and were/are always happy. They both work really hard and excel in most everything they do. They do treat their respective wives rather subserviently, but their wives never appear unhappy and are quite accepting of their role.

Sad to say, but I have met many jerks like Beck,O'Reilly, Hannity. No talents who believe they are always correct and anyone different (or different looking) isn't just wrong, they're stupid. These are normally just average guys (at best) who think(regardless how bad they look) the hottest girl wants them, no one else's opinion matter , and we all wish we were them. The truth is these people are so plain and boring that they must say outrageously racy crap or else no one would notice them. I hope this is just a fad.

ALL religions are essentially cults, based upon fantastic myths. People choose to believe all this stuff because: a) they are indoctrinated as small children and don't learn any better later in life; and b) they live in Fear and cannot be responsible for their own lives. Agreed. I live in Idaho, which is almost as conservative and Mormom as Utah.
I consider myself liberal and progressive. Most of the liberals/progressives I associate with are actually Mormons. It's just like any other faith ie. Jewish (see Joe Lieberman/Jon Stewart) Catholics (That Donohue Douche/Stephen Colbert) Muslims (Reza Aslan/Mahmoud Ahmadinejad)etc. You have your left thinkers, who see the humanist inspiration in all religions, and right wing fascists, who think that since their religion is right, they're superior and everyone else can and is going to hell. I'd be willing to bet most people bashing Mormons on this thread for the sake of being Mormon (their beliefs as opposed to other religions) are believers in their own religion. Bash on Romney and Beck for what their political beliefs are. Those are what matter anyway. Few of you threw a fit when Harry Reid came to office, because for the most part Harry Reid is pretty progressive. And so is Rocky Anderson, the Mayor of SLC of all places. (Yes, I know Rocky isn't a practicing Mormon. The city voted him in anyway.) You see my point.

Any CNN execs reading this. Check his ratings. Do the focus groups. Even conservatives are clicking off. He is the worst host on any network. The reasons transcend politics.
