FOXSports Turns into FOXNews - Howie Long Insults Al Gore

This morning on Fox NFL Sunday's pregame show, co-host and former NFL player, Howie Long, decided it would be a good idea to insult Al Gore to make a point about sports. Not only is this moron's statement wrong, it's unprofessional and he should be called out for it. Why do people like Howie and Al Michaels feel the need to mix politics with sports? You can write to FOXSports and tell them what you think about Howie's hackery.
Long:"...Mike Martz suffers from a rare form of the Al Gore syndrome, where Al still thinks he's the president and Mike Martz still thinks he's the head coach..."
*Note to Keith Olbermann - If you're looking for someone for your Worst Person In The NFL segment tonight, I think Howie is your man...

I wonder why the words , BLOCK HEAD come to mind ?
Thanks to Fox Sports I won't be voting for Al Gore for President in 2008. Then again, neither will he be on the ballot. Have the people finally decided that campaigning against Bill Clinton is getting old so they have to go after Al?
Who watches that channel? I didnt even know that channel existed lol.
Gratuitous, meaningless remark. The have to knock Gore because they know he won- he really is the President.
I think El stupido howie long should stick to football.
Good friggin' Grief!
If this is the only thing wrong with Fox that you can find, you're either looking too hard, or not enough!!
But, do you see why this is a fascist country at heart? Its not just this 'caster - he represents a larger demographic. Neither he or his demographics will ever relent.
You dont have peace and harmony in your future.
Howie suffers from a rare form of Barry Bonds Syndrome...He still thinks he played the game honorably.
Pre game shows were reduced to a child-like totally juvenile mentality before Fox News really got its identity. They are one of the major reasons I stopped watching football in particular. I used to love the sport.
Howie Long is an ass. What's really pathetic is he actually thinks he's funny.
I'll bet there's a Blackwater uniform in his dressing room.
did someone in the background say "not funny"? or did they say "that's funny"?
i had no clue this channel existed either.
BIGBONEDED @ 1:
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Now, I'll admit to being critical of Mike Martz - who was the head coach of my St. Louis Rams from 2000-2005 - for some of his gametime decisions, but to compare him with Al Gore - who SHOULD have been in the White House in 2001 - is asinine. And I do hope that KO calls out "Buckethead" (Terry Bradshaw's nickname for Howie) as the "WP in the NFL."
I still remember what Al Michaels said during a Pats-Colts game in 2004. About President Clinton.
Because the message must be spread. In as many venues as possible.
That way it becomes "common wisdom" that (as an example), Al Gore is a radical moron.
If sportscasters say bad things about Al Gore, if Al Gore is smeared in the newspapers, on newscasts, then of course Al Gore is bad... right?
http://americangoy.myblogsite.com/
Why does it seem that most "professional" (corporate-owned, really) athletes are right-wing nutjobs? This is one of the big reasons I don't watch sports (except for the Olympics). Perhaps it's that money corrupts and all of these guys are way overpaid. Time to get back to non-professional regional sports.
Howie Long. Howie Think? Howie Rate? Howie get a job? Howie become such a jerk?
Howie’s long on brawn but short on brains!
Who the hell is howie long?
Canuknotusa @ 6:
I have to agree. This is just stoopid.
If you are offended by what Howie said, you probably shouldn't be watching football anyway. I am sure one of many cable or satellite channels has some decorating shows you can watch, or maybe you have some Oprah shows tivoed.
The thing you have to ask yourself is, would Al Gore be insulted by this? I don't think he would.
people still watch football?
I can tell by looking at his picture that I don't need to listen to what this man says. Thank you for letting us know.
And What's with the hair? is there any chance this man doesn't know he needs a new hairdresser, a new look or even just a new color? For god's sake - this is national television - doesn't he care how silly he looks?
Note to Howie - if you really like the look, you can emphasize it by dying your hair bright red.
*
Howie is the walking/thentalking (he can't do both at the same time) definition of blockhead. He's not even taken seriously when he talks about football.
miss_kitty @ 20:
Hall of Famer, Super Bowl winner. Invented a move that most defensive linemen use today.
Wow! Incredibly stupid in at least a couple of ways...
This is straight from the Republican handbook, no venue is off-limits for a tacky smear job. Oh, and nice haircut asshole..............
Ex Raiders! Good grief. Almost makes me pine for Todd Christianson, the man who would not shut up. Ever.
Al Gore definitely is not the president. He was just voted for by a majority of US citizens. However he didn't have the Supreme Court in his pocket. Our loss. On the other hand, Al Gore just won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on saving Earth. The world's gain.
Another terrified and angry white christian male trying to protect his god-given birthright.
Fox news has a never-ending supply of them.

Absolutely brilliant explaination of hoe the NIE report on Iran is "besides the point". Hilarious!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fyiGTJqzWU
Actually, according to the final recount, Al Gore is the president.
My sincere appologies to BigBoned. I guess I could have at least glanced at the posts first. Sorry
I like Howie Long, but I agree that was pretty unnecessary when the current President is universally hated.
A couple years ago, the Mineapolis Star Tribune announced that Vikings tackle Bryant McKinnie would be writing a weekly sports page column on the topic of his choice. McKinnie's first column vigorously praised Michael Moore's film, Fahrenheit 9/11. Then the columns suddenly stopped. Hmmm...I wonder why.
Go out for a long one Howie ....
What I emailed FOX-Sports:
Former NFL player, Howie Long, in smearing President Al Gore (yes, he's the real one) once again demonstrates that professional football needs to provide their players with much larger, more well padded helmets, to prevent serious brain injury, of the kind that Howie Long has suffered.
Johnny2Bad @ 8:
Jocks arent honorable - none of them. I fenced in college. In fencing, if you are touch and the judge fails to call the touch, you are required to voluntarily surrender the touch. To do less is not honorable. That is sportsmanship.
That doesnt describe jocks. Jocks are zero sum social darwinists (ZSSD's) that are about winning - period. The will all - everyone of them - claim to be honorable. They are liars. When have you EVER seen a single jock or coach for that matter surrender an unfair advantage simply because it was a result of a bad call. If they get a bad call that benefits them, they either consider it good fortune or take it and blame the refs. They NEVER do the honorable thing and refuse the advantage gained. They even go to the extent of attempting to 'lure' the opponent into giving them an advantage. Lute Olson here in Tucson does that - I have attented practices and have seen it - he trains his players to give the appearance of having been 'fouled' by doing things like flopping to elicit an offensive charging call.
Some will think that it doesnt make sense to surrender undeserved advantage - you are probably ZSSD's yourselves. America is filled with them.
If you understand finally that jocks NEVER do the honorable thing by always claim honor, then you will understand how Bonds could use drugs, claim honor and lie.
Its all about the win. The win justifies all.
... even in Iraq. God bless america.
hey howie, lions 20, cowboys 7 at the half.
thought you might like to know.
Greg @ 26:
thanks but that still leaves me clueless!
:P
"I am Al Gore. I used to be the next President of the United States of America"
-Al Gore An Inconvenient Truth 2006
Six years after the election. Can you believe it when someone suggests Al Gore thinks he should be President?! Outrageous!
Gore throws red meat like this to his supporters all the time. Howie hit the nail on the head. Deal with it.
For Al Gore to STILL think he is President wouldn't he have to have been President in the 1st place. The fact that Bush has been the biggest nightmare this country has seen in a long time make his statement even retarded.
Trittydi @ 31:
Brilliant and on point.
These idiot talking heads are part of the reason I don't watch much football anymore... that and the in your face intrusive advertising where I have to see .3 second flashes of a Chevy or Home Depot logo.
oswald @ 42:
We found a ZSSD.
In fact, Al Gore IS the president of the US that was, sadly Bush is the president of the US that is as the US that was is no more - it has been destroyed.
It's funny how the right wingnuts are so fearful of Al Gore.
I don't Al Gore "still thinks he president" nor do I think Al Gore ever stated that he thought he was president. Howie Long still thinks he is significant to the game of football when in reality, he is a nothing.
Canuknotusa Says: Good friggin’ Grief!
If this is the only thing wrong with Fox that you can find, you’re either looking too hard, or not enough!!

Let's not "play" dumb. The reason that this is so offensive is that it is trying to be subtle.

You got a point there :)

I watch the cowboy game on rabbit ears so cable doesn't know i watch FOX
Yea, Gore is acting all presidential and everything like that. Winning that stinking Nobel Prize and all. And having the unmitigated gall to articulate his words so that we know exactly what he’s saying. What nerve. Don’t guess Howie will be drinking any beers with Al Gore. It appears Howie is on thunderbird of Kool-aid anyway.
anon @ 39:
geeezzz, did you get shoved in a locker or something in high school by a jock. All this over reacting is pretty funny.

Oh, and George Bush won the 2000 election fair and square.
Greg @ 53:
I am not over reacting. This was in my experience an accurate description of 'sport' in this country. There are exceptions. I mentioned fencing. As far as I know the behavior in fencing was typical in past centuries. Competition was about just that, competition. Today it is about the win. How you win doesnt matter.
I was a competative fencer, trained by a Romanian army captain refugee in the '70s who was an olympic gold medal winner - Jan Drimba.
One reason the surge was so important to the right was that if it resulted in a win, then the war in Iraq would no longer be an international crime. Like Howie believes - the win is the thing. Doesnt matter whether its football or Iraq. The win corrects all wrongs.

anon @ 39:
My point was about Howie and Barry cheating. You seem to be fixated on the delusion that "Jocks" and every sport (save the one you participated in) is inherently dishonorable. Well, I can't count the number of oversimplified assumptions in your post but suffice it to say that it's full-on crap to say "NEVER" about anyone. Honor in any sport is possible...but you make the mistake of thinking yourself (and for some reason Fencing, of all things) above reproach. You're not and its not.
anon @ 61:
Good for you. But this is your opinion nothing to do with accuracy.
Let's look at the heart of what he said:
Al Gore "Still thinks he's the president?"
First, he never was president.
Secondly, when did Al Gore ever act like he thought he was president?
Just a stupid comment from a guy with beliefs as outdated as his Johnny Unitas haircut.
Johnny2Bad @ 73:
It used to be the norm. During WWII US soldiers actually stopped battles so Germans could retrieve their wounded so they could be attended to as an example. It gives me no pleasure to say that this country has coursened. Today this country is primarily about money and the win. It hasnt always been that way.
You are quibbling over my use of the word never, but I notice you offer not one example.
I stand by never.
Greg @ 26:
Yeah, his bowl movement must really be something to imulate.
oswald @ 42:
I'll grant that had Al Gore been running around acting like the president it would have been a funny comment, but I have to ask, since you think Howie nailed it, how as Gore been acting like he thinks he is president? The example you gave above doesn't really cover it since it points out specifically that he lost the election. Its a dig against himself, mocking that everyone thought he was going to be the next president but lost
ChrisM70 @ 75:
PLEASE don't bring Unitas into this. Besides, he died and can't defend his haircut.
Uhh . . . wouldn't the analogy have been more accurate had it been stated, "Mike Martz suffers from a rare form of the George W. Bush syndrome, where George still thinks he’s the president - even though everyone knows Dick Cheney calls the shots in the White House - while Mike Martz still thinks he’s the head coach even though Rod Marinelli most definitely calls the shots in Detroit . . ."
Just a thought . . .
Doggiebobo @ 77:
Holy ahit, that sounds messy. Who would do such a thing?
Greg @ 74:
Inaccurate? Name one case where an inappropriate advantage was refused in football (or baseball). I gave examples from fencing where that not only happened, it happens routinely. But you wont find it in either football or baseball - and possibly others. And I promise you that those not doing the honorable thing by refusing unfair advantage will claim to be honorable themselves.
Name one - or my statement is accurate.
xoites defends Constitution @ 79:
LOL
[refers to deleted post]
Whatever his reason, Howie Long's uncalled for dig at Al Gore just reveals what kind of person he must be. I wonder if Howie Long understands that if Al Gore thought he were President, that would make him delusional. The only delusional people I see are in the White House now, trying to figure out a way to still attack Iran, despite their lies being revealed in the latest NIE.
Since it's been quite a while since I've seen the Fox NFL show, I didn't realize that Howie had gone with the tall flat-top and long side-burns look. Hopefully it's for a movie role, and not his own personal choice.
I understand that most extremely wealthy people, especially those employed by Fox, will be Bush supporters. That doesn't mean that they have to bash people who have done them no harm on a *sports* program.
I will avoid this show with greater vigor than before. I usually turn it off because the old men on the show act like adolescents, talking over each other, and making every story difficult to hear among all of the jibes and laughter of the other panelists.
Since they act like frat boys, I can see why they would support the "Frat Boy in Chief".
3rd rate player and 3rd rate commentator - This reptilian-minded, brain-dead meat sack will reap what he deserves when the stoeoid use catches up with him. Maybe he can join the likes of Chuck Norris and the other "super celebrities" who will endorse someone from the party that is destroying our constitution and supporting the Bush Crime Family. Go back to hawking batteries Howie.
LOL.....Al Gore does not think he is still President of The United States, he is the 'former next President of The United States.
anon @ 82:
You're claim that all jocks are jerks. Inaccurate.
anon @ 76:
That's wholly incoherent. You "stand by never"??? Wow. What a rapier wit. Touche!
Hey Howie, if you are such a Big Man why don't you pick up a gun and go join the boys fighting in Iraq. Yeah, thought so. Another chicken hawk.
I don't think it's much to get up in arms over. After all, most of us here who enjoy Olbermann get a kick out of the fact that the more conservative football blockheads get treated to his political wit occasionally. I'd rather see more speech not less, so whining about this seems babyish, and little repressive. It's not hurting Al Gore.
Filthy Harry @ 78:
I don't think it points out specifically that he lost the election. I think it points out specifically that Gore feels that there was actually a time when he was the president-elect and that that was taken from him. A debatable point to be certain. But the fact that he was still bringing it up 6 years after the election does kind of seem like he wants to keep the debate open.
Greg @ 88:
I said jock - not athlete. I respect athletes. Howie is a jock - he is about the win not the competition. I should have made that clearer, sorry.
Johnny2Bad @ 89:
Just one ... :)
This is what happens in a climate in which our Dem leaders conciliate themselves to Republicans. They think that that buys them good will in the eyes of important Repubs. No it doesn't. It just makes us look like little bitches. Dems need to stand up. This is intolerable.
anon @ 93:
I said jock too. When you're in a sport such as football, Pro football where they pay you millions, they are paying you to win not just play.
anon @ 83:
Johnny U was a class act---Howie, just take the CL off of class and you have him. He's just another opinionated, self centered jerk who thinks he is important. Stick to sports, Howie. You suck at political commentary.
oswald @ 92:
I certainly don't see it that way but I can still grant that to you and still ask how that shows that Al Gore has been acting like he thinks he is president? Like I said, if Al Gore was acting like he thought he was president, it would have been a funny comment.
A turd in a suit ,is still a turd, just look at Bush!
I always suspected Howie was a dick. Put him ad Curt Schilling in the same room in Guantanamo.
I'm just wondering, is Fox News considered to be using the public "air-waves"? I know that Fox sports is using the public air-waves, but I don't know if the same rules apply to cable.
Another Fox liar comes out of the closet.
No, you're wrong, there is a difference, and that is that FAUX Network uses the public airwaves and broadcasts to millions, and seems to have no sense that there is an obligation to remain non-partisan, or at least give equal time.
Second, who in the hell want politics with their sports? Tell Howie to go get an education first and then STFU on the air about his reactionary political views.
Last, but not least, the difference between Gore and Chimpy is that Gore WAS elected President in 2000, and Chimpy was appointed by the Supreme Court.
do something about this.
call your cable and get basic cable.
do not pay for FOX "News" anymore.
waste of time arguing over sports when we are killing people for no reason.
Howie Long was the prototype for Roger Dorn in "Major League", a guy who played at half-speed to protect his body and get product endorsements.
Long was a "could've been" who never tried. At least Gore tried, as well as accomplishing something significant after he left office, which is a lot more than Long can say.
Penalty flag thrown on Howie for unnecessary roughness
What does that even mean? Al Gore's smart and George Bush is dumb and that's a bad thing? Conservatives should lay off any humor other than fart jokes.
steambomb @ 5:
I agree, but have you seen some of the low-rate budget flicks he's had an acting role in? Fox Sports and ESPN are fighting to rule the airwaves, and in doing so, have an impact by ignorant comments like this one. And mind you, this is not the first time comments like this have been spouted by some "sports analyst", it is nothing more than preaching to his base of loyal fans.
Damn, he is one ugly, flat-topped snapperhead.
Actually, now that I think of it, he should have said "George Bush thinks he's president..." That woulda cracked me up!
c. barkely makes snide comments about repups all the time. the difference is barkely is actually funny.
I couldn't believe it when I heard those idiotic words dribble out of Long's mouth today. Of course, he's following in the hallowed tradition of Dennis Miller calling some democrat whose name escapes me a phony, and Al Michaels adding "gold plated" or words to that effect; and the supremely untalented Mike Tirico throwing an "Al Gore invented the internet" out during an ESPN pre-game show back in 2000 - during the runup to the election, mind you. Almost as bad as what Tirico said was the look of smirky self-satisfaction on his face after he said it, as the assembled ex-jocks he was working with all cackled in approval.
I hope Miami goes 0-16.
Chopvac @ 105:
Really? I'd love to hear your rationale for that ridiculous statement. Long was an 8-time Pro Bowl selection; 3-time All-Pro; NFL defensive player of the year; recipient of the george halas trophy; 3-time defensive lineman of the year; won a Super Bowl and was elected to the Hall of Fame his first year of eligibility.
I understand that you don;t like what he had to say about Gore, but trying to attack his credibility as a player because of it has got to be the worst angle you could take.
I remember one of Tony Kornheisers first boradcasts on the Mickey network doing MNF and he made reference to, out of the blue, the "Howard Dean scream"
I genuinely like listening to his show and think he is funny and very knowledgable, but again, this douchebag used his pulpit to denigrate some political figure, and its always gonna be suspect when first advertising and sports get rolled into one, but now we have to be subjected to subtle political hints and taunts whilst showing the game.
Again, its hard to sometimes know if these people are shilling for their respective networks or the very real possibility they are just.................really not that bright?
Howie took alot of shots to the head, as did Terry Bradshaw.
Whadda maroon!
BIGBONEDED @ 1:
It's because of his hair.
The comment was so stupid it's not really worth making such a big deal over. Al Gore has been focusing on the environment and doesn't act like he thinks he's president at all. Really - not worth our effort here - but it's fun to make fun of the block head.
Wow, stupid.
Also,@113, leave my Dolphins alone. Sniff Sniff
oswald @ 92:
No that just points that you have no sense of humor and that you can't get the meaning of what Al Gore says. Under normal English grammar rules Al Gore's sentence is very easy to parse, although that requires a normal level of education which is an assumption that can be met by many folk in this country.
Al Gore says: "I USED to be THE NEXT president" not "I USED to be THE president"
Right wing trolls have tried their damnest to make both equivalent, even though their meaning is veeery different. I guess that is why the GOP has conducted warfare on education for the better part of a century. It seems uneducated morons like Howie Long make excellent tools...
cetylovx @ 118:
Hey, I've been a Fin Fan since '78 - and even though it hurts I think its the best thing that can happen to that team. What an unorganized, rudderless group that has been since Marino retired. Its pathetic.

In my email to Fox, I wrote that Long's comment was an inappropriate cheap shot that, if it had occurred on the football field, would have resulted in a personal foul against Long.
oswald @ 42:
....Except he didn't "nail it" at all.
Al Gore said he used to be the next President.
Gore never claims to have been the President.
Knucklehead douchebags with no abilty to reason: UNITE!
Proud Member of the : ( Can You Imagine If Al Gore Was President? Hah! Haa! Club )

Someone should send a memo to Howie reminding him that Al Gore was never a president.
Ali--
Actually, it is a big deal. What Long's comment does is keep up the denigration of Democrats/liberals/progressives in the media and the American consciousness. I'd argue that little comments that may not seem terribly important in isolation add up to something greater than the sum of their parts in the long run.
If you focus on issues, conservatives lose in head-to-head battles with progressives. People on the left/liberal side of the spectrum are the only ones engaging in any meaningful debate on health care, Iraq, rebuilding America's infrastructure, and so on. Given this fact, one of the only weapons conservatives have is the snideness that Long demonstrated in his comment. It was a way of disrespecting the stuff Gore has done since 2000 in one little, petty sentence.
I always knew this jerk was a bonehead. I would not waste one second of my precious time on professional sports. I will ignore all attempts at striking up conversations about sports. It is for LOSERS.
VegasRage @ 106:
After further review the roughness penalty on the field is reversed and changed to unsportsmanlike conduct.
I wrote to Fox Sports: (and yes it's under their word limit)
Fox Sports and Howie Long owe the viewers an apology for Mr. Long's inappropriate and unsolicited political remarks this morning: "Mike Martz suffers from a rare form of the Al Gore syndrome, where Al still thinks he’s the president and Mike Martz still thinks he’s the head coach…”
I watch Fox Sports because I love pro football and I like to hear insightful commentators who know the game and can provide intelligent analysis. I do not watch these telecasts to hear a former NFL player's opinions about political figures. I watch football to relax and forget about the troubles that divide our nation. I do not find the bashing of any particular political figure (on the right or the left or in between) to be conducive to relaxation.
I greatly value Howie's opinions on a subject that he knows a lot about: NFL football. I have no desire to hear his opinions on subjects other than that. Thank you.
I had always wonder about those stupid "Radio Shack" commercial where he plays the dumb jock, but I have never seen him out of character. Those Radio Shack were very tiresome, and unimaginable. Must be the only character he can play.
So in his honor, I would say he must be suffering the Radio Shack Flashback syndrome, because his sportscasting is such that he still thinks he doing Radio Shack advertisement.
I am sure that someone from Fox told him to say that,
I doubt that he could come up with that on his own.
Howie Long and his Frankenstein haircut shouldn't be taken seriously. If anyone saw how Jimmy Kimmel pummeled him mercilessly when they were on the air together, you know that Howie is barely smart enough to string together a sentence, let alone provide political commentary.
Isn't this a bit of a slippery slope? For example, I've never understood why people complain about musicians engaging in overtly political causes. It strikes me as weird to tell a musician to just "shut up and sing" or complain that as an audience member you did not pay to hear about a musicians politics (e.g., Pearl Jam). Howie Long's comment seems like an off-handed comment in an effort to illustrate a point, but whether it is a true indication of his personal beliefs, a silly attempt at humor, or a deliberate remark inserted at the behest of his corporate overlords, isn't it of little significance?
Of course, on the other hand, sports as a business, is inherently political.
oswald @ 114:
Seems like C&L is getting more popular. I've never seen so many meat-headed trolls before.
Fox Sports Radio's JT The Brick uses neocon talking points all the time. All these guys feel butch carrying water for the Pinochetists
Media Concepts @ 122:
I'm sure it will bring howls of laughter tommorrow.
Cons like to holler whenever a "dumb actor" makes a political statement. Ditto, and more, for dumb jocks. Of course, we know they all become Republicans when they've made their first million.
Greg @ 96:
Exactly - no honor. Its about the win not competition. That is the standard in this country - which has no honor. In this case money == win.
A jock will do that (my use of jock) while an athlete wont. (Also my use). An athlete is honorable a jock is in it for the win only - although he will claim to be honorable like Howie.
Greg @ 53:
Overreacting? Hardly. That's why people call it the national felon's league. And the other leagues are no better.
I failed to split wood today, and "block of wood... howie take a dump needs he head split open and remove that "pea size" brain... Give me the ax..

Chopvac @ 133:
Gosh, at least the brick-headed Howie doesn't wear one of those stupid lapel flags. The reich-wingers over at CBS still do, six long years after 9/11. Must be a mandate from upper management.
So ... I won't be watching ANY of the NFL's pregame or halftime shows.
He's on Fox Channel. He knows who signs the checks, furnishes the corporate jet from Charlottesville, Va every Sunday. Oh, wait. He's also a multimillionaire white guy. Would it surprise anyone to know that his a Rupucklican?
howie is a fucking ignorant asshole x-jock who appeared to be somewhat reasonable in public until today with a gratuitous swipe at gore who obviously has nothing to do with sports.
I am sure this is part of the all-out fux plan to attack liberals and progressives until the election. what they did today is announce that they are pulling out all the stops in the war against thinking in america.
howie slipped and let his collar drop to show america the ignorance that pervades fox to the core. does ailes still work at fux? then expect more.
this might also be an attempt to counter olberman, but it's like bringing a pea shooter to a gunfight.
Howie Long is just another corporate owned douchbag who does what his corporate owners want him to do. George Carlin explains it perfectly.

Howie Long----is a dumb blonde, ex-jock, and oh yeah, an air-head too....
To put it more concise---Howie Long is a dumb ex-jock, and no, Howie, "you are no Huey Long." I did not know Huey Long, but, just know that "you are no Huey Long," Howie....
Howie Long----is also a very irrelevant dumb blonde & ex-jock with a no mind and a windbag to boot.
Howie Long is also a bore who should be ignored and turned off.
