Mike's Blog Round Up
Here’s your wakeup call (h/t commenter ysbaddaden). Thought you might need that. Know I did. Brad Jacobson of MediaBloodhound here, the guy who won't be invited to ABC News’ Christmas party. But that’s OK. Let somebody else get stuck at the punchbowl with George Will. And now, on to the links:
Regret the Error's best of the worst of 2007 media mistakes and corrections.
Happy Valley News: “CIA Admits It Destroyed Entire Third Season of Saved by the Bell.”
Scholars & Rogues presents a journalist’s story: “Back then, news people ran newspapers. Today, they decidedly do not. Corporations do.”
Mr. Rogers is mad as hell and he’s not going to take it anymore. Plus, the Freeway Blogger deals with the long (crooked) arm of the law.
Entering the file marked “If Life Were Only Like This on a Regular Basis,” Shaheen is forced to step down as Clinton co-chair after his Obama remarks.
Actor212 of Simply Left Behind may not be Alan Greenspan, but he knows stagflation when he sees it.
Crooked Timber thinks Ed Balls has quite a pair for suggesting a common sense approach to teaching foreign languages.
That’s all, truth-seekers. Send those post suggestions to mediabloodhound (at) yahoo (dot) com.

Hey Brad! Thanks for the link, man!
Brad Jacobson is doing Mike’s Blog Round Up By: Nicole Belle.
That's what i call cooperation!
The fish dance made me laugh out loud and nothing else has been able to do that for me today.
Thank you! :)
If the CIA really wanted to help our country, they would destroy all the BillO tapes too. Toss in Beck's tapes as well. Showing the tapes of BillO show gives away our secret methods of fighting against the War on Christmas. ;)
The Freeway Blogger should take heart; the P.O.ed Grannies of Portland were acquited yesterday.
"On Thursday, after a three-day trial in which the prosecutor likened them to terrorists, five "Grannies" -- actually, four women and a man, ages 56 to 76 -- were acquitted on misdemeanor criminal mischief charges . . . ."
The D.A called on the jury to bring back a guilty verdict to "protect our troops."
He warned jurors to "think of some evils that could happen and why it is important for the line to be drawn here. On Sept. 11, some people drove planes into a building to prove a point. The defendants say their conduct is necessary to avoid imminent danger because people are dying in Iraq. That is the same thing suicide bombers say."
It took the jury 30 minutes to acquit the group.
I guess Mr Roger's is just another one of those "phony" soldiers mr limpdick keeps telling us about.
I never liked his show, but I respect that.
And here's the beddy-bye call

Sorry - got happy fingers and couldn't finish. The Grannies were on trial because they put red handprints (in poster paint - the washable stuff you used in grade school) on the window of the recruiting office last Good Friday.
I wonder how Freeway Blogger made out. The court date was scheduled for yesterday.

Thank you so much for the link. Mr. Rogers loves being linked!
Whitehouse @ 11:
Yeah WTF?!? Error 404!!! Ann Coulters virus must have spread!!!!
Whitehouse @ 11:
I'm sorry, that was supposed to go up at 8:30 tonight, not 8:30 this morning. That's what happens when I schedule posts before I've had a cup of coffee. It will be back tonight.
Mr. Rogers @ 12:
Mr. Rogers was into daisy chains?
Nicole Belle @ 14:
That's just plain wrong, Ms. Belle, teasing us like that! ;p
I still think Coulter's got massive man-hands! And size 13 EEE gunboats!
liberalNmoderation @ 16:
I saw that one to and was going to post some get well comments to Mr. Amato. Oh well, I guess I get to do it twice now. Get well John!
Below is a link to an article and video regarding some glow in the dark cats. Asian scientists have altered feline genes to produce this effect. It seems each time I read about something scientific it almost always comes from somewhere in Asia these days. They are already doing amazing things with robotics and are at the forefront when it comes to genetics, medicine, and cloning. Meanwhile, instead of coming up with new ideas, new scientific break throughs or excelling in mathematics or science, we sit around and pray or wonder whether the ten commandments should be in court houses or not. No wonder we are getting our butts kicked.

Mr Coulter called in to complain a bout being portrayed next to another Man.
Re: DuPage County - the hearing's been delayed, presumably to allow the prosecution more time to bring up legal advisors from Hazzard County. If those two spend so much as a day in jail I'll be visiting there personally, and they won't catch me making any "throwing motions."
Good to hear about the Grannies - will post.

I am very close to the "DuPage Two" story. They did go to court yesterday. They asked for and were granted a continuance. The hearing on their motion to suppress was re-scheduled for February 28th. If they're unsuccessful with their motion, then they go to trial.
here's some local press coverage about the "DuPage Two" story:
