Hate
Lisa Schiffrin at The Corner is a loathsome creature.
I love Digby's phrase: "Conservative Borg." It says it all, doesn't it?

Oh oh oh
The corner is quite the collection of Syphilis injected Frankensteins
Uh oh they found the WMD's

It's a child-like quality of consevatives. Hating is easier than liking or loving or even just disliking. Everytime I read about someones wanting to hate I think of third grade when all of the kids were passing around notes of lists of who they liked to who they hated. It's where I saw politics begin. The lists were started by one of the more popular girls in the class so she and the popular boy were always near the top and the same kid of indian culture 'Donnie' was always the last. I never participated and neither did he. There was nothing really to hate about Donnie. They just had to have someone to categorize as last. But it was one of the comments I overheard during this whole transaction, "I wanted to hate Eric but he gave me his fruit roll-up today".
Hate is an easy way to not have to love. Funny that the moralistic people find it difficult to do away with hate.

Personally, I'm not a breast man. But why on earth would you consider this to be a WMD?
These conservatives are fucking crazy and ignorant as hell.
They demonize the undocumented workers and blame them incorrectly on economic losses for america.
But they ignore the fact that Undocumented workers actually result in a net increase of funds for america.

Damn it. I accidentally clicked on the Nazi Retards Online link. Now my computer is infected with fascism. Thanks a lot.

You misunderstand. That was pulled out of Cheney's ass, the same place the WMDs were found. Dick's a bit of a kinky guy.
So hows the debates going?
Dan Quayle strategist Lisa Schiffrin's hateful comments about Hillary Clinton suggests it's time she retired. Could she please find something else to do than spouting her drivel? She really is a "conservative borg": ugly, synthetic, and sprouting metallic nanotubules that suck at people's essences.
"Conservative Borg"? Not bad. Not bad, at all.
But is it (really) an improvement on the tried-and-true, "Conservative Asshole"?
I think not.
(The borg of course being she, Shiffrin, not she, Clinton.)
L.A. Confidential @ 11:
I hate ( there's that word again ) the word debate for these gangbangs.
I don't really know what I will do with that newly freed strand of energy
How about wash up your pie, betch?
I need glasses. I thought you were ragging on LALO Schifrin
zippy @ 5:
Zippy, Zippy, Zippy - I know it's hard, but try to understand. She doesn't want to give up her hate. She likes it. It feeds her. It's working for her. Hillary being less hateful is upsetting, because it might cost her something she likes: her hate.
I hate Bush because I love my country. I hate him because he is responsible for the deaths of tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people who had no defense against him. I hate him because even in the face of all the deaths he has caused, he takes an immature and retarded delight in feeling that he is powerful. I hate him because he makes an obscene mockery of the teachings of Christ.
My hate gives me no joy. If the strand of energy could not be fed because Bush were to maybe get impeached and indicted and convicted and maybe rendited to a secret prison where he could maybe endure what he is responsible for others having to endure, I'd be thrilled to let the strand die and go back about my life, which would now include rebuilding the country from the wreck Bush is leaving us with.
Sure The Borg are ruthless in their assimilation of other species but they do so with a sense of purpose absence any emotion, love or hate. A sense of purpose which leads to the constructive building of their society treating all members as equals.
Whereas the Conservative Republican are a lothesome creature full of the emotion of hate. Fearful and greedy-like the Ferengi only hateful-their sole purpose for existance is to destroy their own home world through environmental havoc while simultaneously keeping the majority of their own species struggling all so the most elite 2% of the species can prosper beyond their wildness dreams.
The Conservative Republican is the lowest form of life in the known galaxy.
So please, don't insult The Borg.
Apparently Schiffrin feels there's no point to her life unless she can continue to express hatred for someone she doesn't even know. WOW! That's pretty fucking psychotic. You know who thinks like that? People like Mark David Chapman, Sirhan Sirhan, James Earl Ray, Lee Harvey Oswald that's who.
Hate & Mark R. Levin.
About as good a match as a filthy sphincter and toilet paper.
Haha. I just read that Digby post, and now it's here! Yup, "conservative borg" says about it all.
jr @ 2:
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
That is funny!
schiffrinfreude (n)--the joy derived from watching a wingnut like Lisa Schiffrin's head explode due to the vagaries of the 2008 election cycle.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd rather participate in the Liberal Blogosphere than be chained to the Conservative Borgosphere.
Roooth is pointing out what is significant about this--it's not that somebody conservative could hate a nominally liberal politician and somebody liberal would never hate a nominally conservative politician. The point is what place that hate itself plays in the person's life.
Schiffrin is essentially saying that "hating Hillary" (her own words) is a significant part of her life, and she's missing it now that it's sort of drying up. She's pointing out that she's having to WORK at keeping the hate on the more human Hillary gets (to her).
Think about that. I can think of a number of people that I detest, but hate is a very, VERY strong word that I avoid using unless it is completely warranted. If you take a step above raw emotions like fear and rage hate is the flip side of love as one of the most potent and uncontrolled human emotions, and good rarely if ever comes of having it, let alone letting it play a significant part in your life.
And that really does seem to be what a lot of "conservative" boosters today are feeding on--hate. It barely even matters who, so long as they have SOMEBODY to hate--they need a villain to make themselves feel... I don't know, worth something, I guess.
Personally, though there are people that I definitely feel hate for, my response is EXACTLY the opposite--I want nothing to do with them. I would much rather never hear a word about them again, and not have that unpleasant emotion invading my psyche. If, say, Bush were to suddenly vanish from the face of the earth, I would be a happier person and I would not miss the rage he inspires in me ONE TINY BIT. I would be happier for the lack thereof. I have a person I love, and I would much rather devote my energy toward that than hating someone.
But then, so many people throughout human history have used hate as a motivator--from the crusades to the cross burnings--that it's not likely to stop any time this millennium.
The "Conservative Borg" reference will be more appropriate once the conscum learn how to inject religion directly into the blood stream of their victims.

Thank you...
Okay, I read about halfway down the NRO "debate watching party" and all I kept thinking was there are only three of them attending this so-called party, how pathetic. Then of course my inner David Spade as snarky restaurant host kept repeating in my head: "Loser!...Looohoooser!...Loser, party of three! Your table is ready!"
What was really amusing is that The Loser Party really thought Fred Thompson won the debate. That he was well-versed on issues. And same with Romney. They actually said Romney was armed with facts and everything! All I heard Romney say is that 'he's read those Jihadist materials' in response to Ron Paul's intelligent analysis of our foreign policy. But the moderators didn't ask him when he read them, how he got his hands on them or what they even said. They just took these claims for face value, as usual. And of course The Loser Party did so as well...in spades. They are a shallow bunch.
The only two people on the Republican stage that actually addressed issues with some thought were Paul & Huckabee. Which scares the crap out of me. A Huckabee/Paul ticket would be a real challenge for Democrats. But I guess I don't have to worry because the GOP power structure is not supporting either. At least not directly. I bet there are a whole bunch of corporate whoring GOP'ers that are rueing the day their Dubya gave 2 billion to the Faith Based Iniative Brigade.
Fox News is in a collective spasm over the Huckabee win. They do not want a Republican populist to win the nom even if he is against evolution and reproductive freedom.
Andy K @ 23:
It would be funny if it weren't true. Literally true. Alas, Jonah's book can only be the product of end stage syphilitic insanity, and given the incestuous relationships evident at the Corner, they're all doomed.
Hate about covers it.

Yes it is and please, somebody, do the cartoon and develop it into a strip -- thence a graphic novel and finally a movie. I'd pay to see Dennis Miller (e.g.) and Rudy Giuliani with wires and tubes going in and out of their cyber-bodies, and Bush with an overstuffed cyber-basket intoning a modified, Bush version of the Borg admonition: "Resistance is feudal, which is a word and it means you shouldn't do it."
