Bushed! Recycled Appointments, 7th Grade Grammar & Bush's Legacy

Friday's Bushed! segment on Countdown covered Bush's re-recess appointment of Richard Stickler to head of mine safety after being soundly rejected by the Senate twice;the White House scrubbing of his 7th grade grammar skills and finally, Bush's legacy -- his people actually believe that the economy and conditions in the Middle East will be so good by the end of his term that his approval ratings will hit the mid-40's. I think Keith sums it up best:
Olbermann: "They're probably wrong about how good a year it'll be in the Middle East and in the economy, on the other hand, his approval rate probably will rise because people will be so happy he's leaving."

bush... plop
Bush.
Dumbest.Fucker.Ever.
I really don't understand how the White House spin doctors and the media get away with doctoring bush's illiterate comments. What he says should be part of the public record of his time as POTUS. Will the official transcripts be accurate or what the media and the mouthpieces at the White House smooth it over to be? Does this mean that former Presidents can ask for copies of the official public record and just change them at will and to suit their views on a subject? Does this make the Village press and adjunct to the government progaganda organs? An outrageous state of affairs. If the press continues this way there will be no solution except to break this monopoly on "information" and to reinstate requirements for equal time from all views. Maybe something like this for the Dems to add to their platform?
You'd have to be completely delusional to believe that the shrub co. rating would do anything but plummet further to the basement.
Legacy? So does that mean you can call what hitler and stalin left behind a 'legacy' ? I didn't know tin plated dictators had 'legacies'. Other than the mounds from the mass graves they leave behind.
Only the wide eyed brain dead sponge minions believe this idiot has a 'legacy' of anything other than being the all time worst president in the history of the country. And one of the worst human beings the country has ever had the displeasure to know.
I think his legacy should be like that of Akhenaten. May his image and name be forever lost in the mists of time. Scrubbed from every obelisk and stone. Removed from collective memory. May he and his family fall into history forgotten.
As we all know, everything that is happening right now is being done on purpose and for this reason alone. Bush has to make Iraq and Afghanistan look the best that they possibly can be. Nothing really has changed. Al Sadr and his militia remain in place, the Sunni "insurgents" remain as well. You can bet that his administration has been granting all sorts of deals demanded of them by their "enemies'. At this point, Bush will pay any price to make those two areas look good. He is also doing the same for the economy. Bush can try to polish this turd they call a Presidency all they want and it will make no difference. A turd is still a turd. I'll be surprised if Bush finishes at 45% approval.
Everythng is always milk and honey in Blackshirtia
The only thing worse than this lying sack of monkey dung, is the fact that people actually voted for him. It will take Americans decades to undo the damage this puppet has created, including borrowing to pad his rich corporate buddies pockets. The sack of crap should have been railroaded out of the Whitehouse, handcuffed, and given to the international community for crimes against humanity. Will it happen? Sadly no. Had he been unfortunate enough to be born in another nation, he would have been killed by now, or "occupied" by the freedom fighting American military. Gitmo for you and your stooges Shrub.

and Shinyturdia.
Yale and Harvard should be ashamed that they granted degrees to this halfwit. And don't give that legacy shit, either. That boy is a fucking retard.
We ain't got no president worth no god damned sh*t, ain't it?
You know if the brown shirts are telling us shrub co. will have a rise in ratings it's only because that's the way they've got it planned. I have no doubt what they say will happen because when the time comes they'll just pull a few fake polls out of their asses, or pay off some of the more offensive neocon talking heads to make some up for them that look good.
Poof.
Instant approval ratings, just add corruption.
Pechorin @ 9:
Agreed. If I were a professor that had taught Bush years ago I would not admit it. Imagine the ridicule that he/she would receive knowing full well that Bush wrote his term papers for his/her class with his 7th grade grammar skills and still passed. Yale and Harvard would be wise to "scrub the shrub" from all paperwork and any yearbook that he may be in. He is an embarrassment to all that have or are attending those universities.
Talk about lowering the bar! 45% is now a GREAT approval rating, and one to hang your hat on with pride?
Bush's approval rating will soar when the pollsters ask this question: Are you happy that Bush is leaving office? There will be an overwhelming response of "yes, we approve of his leaving office."
Lame Duck Spin Syndrome.
When you hear the chant in the street: "Bring out your dead," you dress up the corpse as nicely as posssible.
So Nixon would always be remembered for foreign policy, when in fact he would never ever be forgotten for anything other than being a fucking crook.
There's no corpse that won't be fluffed for public viewing, or spitting.
So I take this as a good sign that the Karl Kiddies even know what a turd W is. They're still working overtime to say the exact opposite.
Cats r Flyfishn @ 14:
We might see more than that. Who knows, we might even see some new world records being made. Have you ever seen millions of people around the globe doing the Irish Jig at the same time? We might just see that and more when Bush leaves office. Guinness Book of World Records, get ready.
Bush thinks his approval ratings will be based on the number of people he has killed...now thats a high number.
Pechorin @ 9:
To quote Cyndi Lauper, "Money changes everything".
When will this administration learn to stop making predictions???
1.) "We'll be greeted as liberators."
2.) "Mission Accomplished."
3.) "The insurgency is in its last throes." x INFINITY
4.) "The Iraqi government will achieve political reconciliation this summer."
5.) *new* "Israel and Palestine will sign a peace treaty by next year."
6.) *new* "Boosh will be at 45% approval by the time he leaves office."
I think we've long past established that you can't just will something to happen (yes, BushCo, even if you're the POTUS). The people have spoken...
WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER!!!
The spin cycle never stops.
It's just politics. And it's just the kind of thing that keeps people from caring. That's why they do it. The easily disillusioned are likely to see through the bullshit and vote against the thug party.
Turn them off of politics (as millions are) and the less you have to worry about the lies you are going to tell, and the crimes your boy is gonna commit.
This isn't cynicism. It's in their playbook.
45% is still a failing grade.
It reminds me of when the Oakland Raider fans cheered when their own quarterback got his leg broken in a game because he was so shitty.
BTW - That was the year when Jim Plunkett came off the bench and led them to a Super Bowl victory over Philly.
A turd is still a turd.
And the bush is still a shit. :(
About that legacy:

It's odd that they come out with the possible raise in approval for Bush at the same time they raise thr rhetoric of confrontations with the Iranian speedboats. Or maybe it's not so odd after all.
from a C student to an F President, that's some real progress for you!
only in America can a moron rise to such a level of power..
Some bring joy when they arrive.
Others bring joy by departing.
Dumbya should leave immediately and spread joy rather than democracy.
Joe O. @ 12:
Mom probably paid for someone to write the boys papers, or did them herself. There's NO WAY this <7th grade mentality could actually write college level material. I totally agree. Any professor (BTW, has any of these publicly supported their graduate?? just thinking outloud)... responsible for passing this fool should retire... in shame....
He's gonna have half the country hating him LESS than they do today. Good job!
People with common sense knew early on that Bush was a loser who would undoubtedly be a total failure because that's all he'd ever been. But he's been worse than anyone imagined, the ultimate underachiever who hasn't even reached the bottom rung of the low expectaions ladder.
In the history of the Catholic church there have been popes who were appointed and then quickly removed from papacy because it became obvious the they were incompetent, mentally ill or worse. They're known as the anti-popes.
Bush is the anti-president.
I just saw a clip of Bush speaking to the troops in Iraq. "When history was written" big success etc. It is interesting that the history has already been put on paper.
373 days.
The day Bush and Cheney leave the whole world will celebrate!
Good Riddance
STEVEinSC @ 3:
Not only do print journalists doctor his quotes, but broadcast journalists do not run the more embarrassing footage of him. If you watched "Fahrenheit 9/11," Moore showed numerous clips of the Chimp in Cheif acting like a fool in front of the camera. And there are also clips of him answering questions at foreign press conferences that make him look like an ass, but they do not run over here.
put food on your families, learn yer children, coexist with fish, nuculur weapons, ad nauseam.
I'm 71 and this is the dumbest president I've seen in my years.
ralph @ 31:
That history will not escape the scrutiny of the American public.
We are all witness's to his mess, and more books have been written on his lack of judgment, abilities and crimes than any other in my memory.
This may be slightly off topic but Bush, who promised the meager withdrawal of 5000 soldiers by Christmas, did nothing of the kind.
And no one in a position of power has said a bloody word.
Not a peep.
Thanks Republicans. Thanks Democrats. Thanks all you miserable candidates running around filling our country with loathsome gas.
A nuclear-armed society cannot be run on short-term memory only.
Last night the Japanese Parliament argued for 30 minutes as to whether George Bush & Co. could be charged for the crimes of 9/11 and the illegal invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. Now, whether you agree with Japan or not is beside the point. My question is this...why is main stream media ignoring this? A Parliamentary meeting to discuss Bush crimes on national television networks in Japan, and not a peep here in the good old suppressed nation of the u.s.a.?
Keep smiling. The worst is yet to come.
Story going around the Mid East
Apparently it has been reported in El Pais and the Jordan Times that at the dinner in Israel, Shrub was spouting off on something and Condi passed him a note. He then said, ever the diplomat, 'I have been told by Condi to shut up".
Can't find any links to it on the web except El Pais in Spanish.
Help please
Um... I have a 7th grader living in my house and his/her skills in grammar far exceed that of our Dear Leader. Dear Leader has the skills of a 2nd grader. Shoot, I was RAISED in Texas, unlike Dear Leader, and even I know there is a place for talking with your buds sayin' works like "ain't" and "y'all" and being in front of other people representing your State or your Country and using proper speech.
Dear Leader couldn't get elected as a Student Ambassador, I have no idea how he got elected President of the United States.
Preacher Boob @ 10:
Sure as shootin'
bill w @ 23:
And Cheney is still a Dick.
I heard on Fox a debate on whether there should be more or less polls. Why can't we debate if there should be more media choices in Media. What we have now is totallly partisan news, Totally ignoring topics that effect our everyday life. Anyone else hear the news media even bring up Sibel Edmonds bombshell anoucement the military is sell nuclur weapons to the highest bdder. We not only created the terroris, this administration is arming them with the big one.
You know, I heard on a tallk radio show the other day. "a left leaning show like Countdown on msnbc." I had to scream at my car dash. "WTF are you talking about! Does reporting FACTS make your show left leaning?" I have never viewed Olbermann as a leftist or a liberal. He puts the facts out in the light of day for people to see them. He has done this on both democrats and republicans. It is simply conincidence that he has a whole hell of alot more facts to report about republicans. Can he help it that their president sucks? Can he help it that people like Duke Cunningham plead guilty to corruption charges and then cry on camera for a nice news bite? I think not.
My own children knew better than to speak that way by 5th grade at least. It is not an affect or colloquialism, it is simple stupidity. How in the world did this idiot get through college and graduate school? NCLB standards need to be applied to our own president. We are the joke of the world.
hagelsaett @ 37:
You must be a Bush supporter. The world thanks you.
Bush/Gore "lesser of two evils".
Thanks Ralph.
Care to reassess that statement in light of the last 8 years?
Bush Approval in the Single Digits across European Nations
Europe blasts Bush's 'arrogant bunker mentality'
Posted January 12, 2008
Frank Lockwood
A new poll, cited on the McLaughlin Group this week, shows President Bush's approval ratings in single digits in five different European countries. He does worst in France, where 3 percent approve of the job he's doing.
Majorities of 5500 polled in all five countries say the U.S. poses a threat to world peace.
Leave to Keith to lay it on us properly.
