Just a little something for BillO since he thinks there are no homeless vets out there. This was right on the frontpage of my news:
New Generation of Homeless Vets Emerge

Economic stimulation will come with the new Bush currency based on gallon denominations:

First clip, top of page.
My blood boils about the fake Vets charities. It's past time these were shut down for good. They all take 70% to 95% for themselves. Please don't give any of them anything.
"Now' I can harvest pork shot for hours without getting so much as a scratch"
Whoa,Whoa, waaay too much information. ;-)
When are any of the talking heads going to ask GOP candidates if they really feel, as Republicans, that Republicans are the right ones to elect to fix Bush's Republican mess?
I just sent a message to John Edwards campaign.
I think you need to go to the progresiive radio advertising. The regular MSM is not going to cover you and financing that kind of advertising will use up your campaign funds. As the Rueters article pointed out, they are afraid of you John. On progressive radio, Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann and others have given you more airtime than any of the MSM. I think you will benefit much more by reaching more of the progressive voter without the negative and dismissive attitude the MSM has given you.
We love your ideas John and the corporate media does not.
I urge you all to send a message also. The mainstream media will not give John the face time in MSM. Progressive radio is the fastest growing market in the airways. Do what you can, please.
Bush just announced,
'I'm tired of the criticism that I don't balance the budget. Just this morning I have written a signing statement which I'm gonna attach to the economic stimulation package of $1.5B, that grants an equal amount, $1.5B in tax reductions, to business owners.
That'll balance everything all out, and stimulate the hell out of my supporter'.
"Chimpy will know what to do!"
LOL :) LOL
Fred Thompson is going to have the last laugh on all those who observed that he just stumbled around like an inarticulate dumb ox all during the campaign.
Turns out he's been type-cast as the lead for a new reality show, 'Don't Be Gored by a Dumb Ox', in which he'll wear an inarticulate dumb ox suit and stumble around trying to stick his horn in one of the nubile, scantily-clad, teen-age 'Miss Gored-By-An-Inarticulate-Dumb-Ox Contestants'.
They're going to promote the show using still shots from his campaign, in which dumb ox horns have been photo-shopped on his head.
He'll reputedly make more money as an ox than he did as a candidate.
I hate to bring this up on such a lovely Sunday morning when everyone is totally involved in getting bets down in the office pools and on the Vegas vote-count spreads for the upcoming primaries, but we have a bunch of our 'best and brightest' off in Iraq just a little less than half-way through the first decade of another 100-year war.
Instead of praying for them, I suggest we do everything possible to get their precious asses the hell out of there, right now.
If that's not immediately possible, perhaps you should pray for any dumb ass stupid enough to contemplate voting for some idiot SOB who thinks it's a good idea to keep the Iraq fiasco going for a while longer.
I've posted this in a couple of other threads - not trying to spam, but i felt it was food for thought, especially in light of all the dire economic predictions going around. Sorry if I violated any rule.
From today's NYT.

Looks like a major chunk of the US petrochemical industry is now under the control of Mideast oil producers.
Ron @ 6:
Ron, that's a great idea to post on the site. The mainstream media is really going to try to "finish off" Edwards now and exclusively promote their corporate candidate. They posted the suggestion that I sent about hitting the news boards in upcoming primary states but I still haven't had time to finish compiling my list of sites. There are quite a few out there but it's very time consuming. If enough people will help post, it could make some difference in getting some of these sheep informed.
