We interrupt this blogging day with a little blogging awards news.
The Weblog awards are the oldest of the online awards I believe (2001) and are really very cool. Readers are exposed to some very interesting sites all over the world. Thanks to all the C&L readers who voted us in. I enjoy all the other political sites (except one) that are nominated for Best Political Blog, but if you can---throw a vote to C&L... that would be so kewl. (scroll down to find the category.)
Now back to our originally scheduled blogging....

I totally agree with Gary. On many (and of course the MSM blogs) it seems, and probably is the case, that responses that dont tow the agenda of the site are filtered out. My local paper goes a step further.. it allows other views to be posted on their forums, so long as the views actually have the effect of keeping people from looking any further into the matter. An example would be that to respond with links and real forethought would be filtered regarding forms of taxation, but someone named "dopefiend69" could post something like "incom tacksez are a neocon conspiracy!!! YOULL SEE !@#!" and that will be admissible.

Maybe the post on the State of the Union was pulled because the State of the Union speech was canceled. The poor speechwriters were sitting in the room, the doors kept opening with Cheney and Bush and the whole staff shouting at them, 'Keep it positive....nothing negative...etc., etc.'

I want to start my own website on flogging blogging.
Hopefully the vote isn't split among the liberal sites and Instapundit get the nod.
This is the first place I come to when Something Happens. This is the link I most often refer to when passing information on to friends. And even when I'm so full of despair that I have to block out everything else, C & L is always there to help me realize that IT'S NOT ME. It's this friggin' right-wing, choke-hold, lie-spewing blanket that Americans, as workers, could easily overthrow with the power of their wallets. If only they'd read Crooks and Liars.
