john edwards?

When threatened, they both freeze and topple over on their sides.

Political power inebriation.

Gots ta get me one of Dem dare goats. Heehee.

Nah, if Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of the spineless Dems were really fainting goats they'd be working on some sort of tax cut for the wealthy right now.

Which was my reaction on reading that Nader is forming an exploratory committee.

I wish I could be half that creative.

Alcoholic milk?

Thanks for the video.

Progressives must do more of this. Nancy Pelosi is as much responsible for the destruction of America as George W. Bush.

At least George W. lets us know plainly that he is destroying America. Nancy on the other hand is a confidence "man". She gets progressives to believe she is actually planning to do something positive. Instead we find that she has no intent to help America. Why do we continue to believe her? She has lied to us. She continues to lie to us. We need more of this exposure of Nancy Pelosi and her ilk (i.e. Shrillary)

Too funny, and sad...

6 yellow dog

I understand Bill Clinton is forming an exploratory committee

He's hiring the interns now.

our house and senate leaders need some BALLS, both of them.

At least the goats have an excuse...

Funny.

Well, at least we can celebrate this news:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/30/AR200801...

So long, scumbag.

Yep. And John Insane is interviewing B-52 pilots.

"Who do you want to see take the lead in setting the policy for the United States, Beorge Bush or the Congress?"

2002: Bush, 44%; Congress, 32%
Today: Congress, 62%, Bush, 21%

There's not a single item (other, perhaps, than that old "fund the troops" thing) where the Dems can't successfully confront the White House....

They're both good-for-mutton...

What Do Fainting Goats And The Democratic Congressional Leadership Have In Common?

They both hate the smell of wet goats?

My bad: the poll is from the Wall Street Journal, asked last week....And someone with connections ought to make the DNC aware of it (I'm sure they already are, but.....).

Video was brilliant............ I hope they all somehow get a chance to see it...........

fiver @ 5:

Well, speaking of which, you know the Bush Tax Cuts will be coming up this legislative year. So don't count your "goats" before they're "birthed".....

Perfect analogy.

What do they have in common?

E V E R Y T H I N G

:(

Pre-occupation Democrat? I love it!! and can hardly wait to use it - but just when did the occupation begin? At the retaking of the House and Senate in 2006 and the two "fainting Goats" were installed? Or when the Republicans came to dinner with Bush?

It's not Pelosi who should be targeted, it's the cowardly Bluedog DemocRATS who should feel the wrath of voters. She is the most progressive speaker we are likely to have for the next few decades, so let's stop the circular firing squad. She has a majority in the House, but not when it comes to "security" and other Third Rail ssues. The Dems from red and purple districts keep chickening out whenever the war issue comes up. If she doesn't have the votes lined up, then a legislative defeat only makes her weaker and prolongs the end of the war. Throwing a tantrum at her is not the same as changing a policy. She is not the problem--the traitorous Bluedogs are.

Christ that video was annoying. I had to terminate it the moment the guy stated singing. Really now, I know we can do better than this.

...you never see them together in the same room? Hmmmmm....

Fabulously creative and I agree that it's both true and sad that it is true...

....they both show the results of inbreeding?

All due respect, we would be in even worse shape now if the Dems hadn't kicked ass in Nov06 and if Nancy wasn't right now the Speaker.

Gonzales, Rummy, Libby: GONE.
Conversations about wiretapping, torture, impeachment, health care, real veteran care (not just some fucking yellow bumper sticker), and more: ALIVE AN WELL.
Bomb bomb bombed Iran yet? NO. Would have without that Nov06 rout? I SHUDDER to imagine.
And on.

Incidentally, no matter who the person is holding office, I hardly think you achieve that position by being a flaming coward. There's a lot more going on here than we know (though we often have really good guesses).

That being said, sure, I would lurv to see the Dems do more. I think it's going to happen eventually.

I call bullsh!t. With one year left in his presidency, Bush will not ask for another dime for Iraq because Pelosi has already given him every cent he wanted for their illegal and unconscionable war.

Pelosi has followed the Republican agenda for over a year including votes condemning MoveOn and resolving that "Christians are Wonderful." Even now she is working on more tax cuts for the wealthy (including herself) under the guise of "economic stimulus."

The argument that Pelosi doesn't command enough votes may apply when talking about affirmative measures but is simply ridiculous when applied the Dems failure to fight the Republican agenda. Further, that argument has no bearing whatsoever when applied to single handedly taking impeachment "off the table" or refusing to enforce congressional subpoenas on the administration.

Pelosi (and Reid) is (are) either weak, bought, or both.

What does the DLC and fainting goats have in common?

Whenever they come to they both wonder why their ass is so sore.

Republicans work to get votes.
Democrats just give up.

Yes, Pelosi should not have approved funding for the war, because doing so would have ended the war immediately. Bush would obviously not stay the course, as he has done in the face of terrible bloodshed, but instead see reason and magically find that elusive thing called a viable exit strategy.
And even if the already underfunded military would stay for, oh, a couple of weeks, their lack of funding would not make them sitting ducks. Casualties in the war would not jump up, and that would not make the unthinkable, a Republican in the White House in 2008, possible. And as soon as the last American soldier left, all Sunni and Shiites would jump into each others' arms, turning Iraq into a free and stable democracy.
Of course the USA needs to get out of Iraq as fast as possible. The question everyone on both sides of the aisle is dodging is, How?

I fail to see how we are much better off ... Pelosi is a disaster, she should be impeached along with the illegitimate bush and the rest of his regime.
She knew about and allowed torture ... she allows the illegal wire tapping ... she continues the illegal war ... I just don't see how we are better off ...

I couldn't disagree more ... Pelosi is one of the targets ... she took impeachment off the table ... why because it would implicate her and a lot of other elites ... she has got to be up among the worst SOH ... I just pray Cindy Sheehan can take her seat in Nov.

She is a disgrace and a traitor to this country ...

Yes, how do you do it without doing anything?

The occupation is unconstitutional. Congress never declared war. We can start there.

But now we don't use the constitution. Presidents are emperors. And if Huckabee is elected, they will become Pharaohs.

Dems need to get rid of all these clinton era, clinton type dems. It's better to lose fighting for the right causes than survive supporting the wrong ones.

Cute song, but it's based on another revision of history.

Sorry, but Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party never stated an Iraq War policy pre-election:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/08/pelosi.speaker/index.html
[[So what will be on the agenda come January? Pelosi has said that in the first 100 hours of her speakership she will push for action implementing all 9/11 Commission recommendations on national security, raising the minimum wage to $7.25, eliminating corporate subsidies for oil companies, allowing the government to negotiate Medicare drug prices, imposing new restrictions on lobbyists, cutting interest rates on college loans and supporting embryonic stem-cell research.
As for Iraq, Pelosi and the Democrats have yet to explicitly outline their plan for U.S. involvement in the region, but unlike many of her counterparts, Pelosi voted against authorizing the war.]]

Moreover, much as it is today, the Iraq War as a voting issue in 2006 was often matched or eclipsed by the economy, ethics in government and terrorism in general among the American people as the reason for their vote.

And where the Iraq War was the overwhelming issue (rarely in 2006), “getting out immediately” or even within a year was never the preferred option.

Nancy Pelosi and the Dems in Congress didn't mislead anyone in there campaign to take back majority control of Congress in 2006.

Nice video, quite biting too! Thanks for the link C&L, officially forwarded everywhere!

"She is a disgrace and a traitor to this country …"

Oh, come on, we don't need someone on this side of things throwing the "traitor" word around so lightly. And lightly it is. No wonder the political discourse in this country is such an over-all disgrace.

It's very simple to refute what I've stated by posting a link to a pre-election statement from Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership where they said they were going to get us out of Iraq immediately or within a year or really soon or...

Got anything like that?

I agree with the sentiment, but if Hillary is allowed to run as "experienced" then hyperbole can't be taken off the table in the other direction. Also, her campaign and supporters use gratuitous attacks of "irrationality" and "misogyny" so frequently and venomously that "traitor" and "disgrace" seem almost mild in comparison.

Was it thrown around lightly?

Pelosi has stood by as the US Constitution has been raped and ravaged. She swore an oath to defend it. But she refuses to defend it, because she doesn't have the votes.

If Thomas Paine had a grave, he'd be spinning in it.

I agree completely, but the fact is that there's no easy solution to the mess the US is in. And to be honest, I find the plight of the Iraqis and American soldiers more important than the Constitution, abused though it may be.
I saw Bill Maher on Charlie Rose today saying that in London, people just shrugged when he asked about Bush, and said, 'We've had crazy people running this country all through history. At least yours will be gone soon.' Maybe the reason I agree with that sentiment is because I'm European, too.

If our leaders respected the US Constitution and rule of law, then we wouldn't be in Iraq.

If we never relearn respect for the US Consitition and the rule of law, we may never leave.

. . . they both make the Vichy French look respectable.

I am so very disappointed by pelosi, I think she has done her party, her gender and her district a real disservice.

IF I were a resident in her area, I would be writing her daily and letting her have a piece of my mind. What a loser!

Being "the first lady speaker" is a joke...thanks to her lack of backbone. I am afraid we could expect the same from Hillary. I am just sick and tired of politicians who get re-elected, or get that opportunity to be something, and then they buckle under the system.

She is a disgrace to all.

Too bad they left Conyers out of herd.

I was there way ahead of you. But the goat-people aren't just in D.C.

Oh, but Nancy understands her responsibilities so well.

"They're advocates. We're leaders."

Hardly something you'd say publically about people who hired you and pay your salary.

THIS is how far off-course Nancy Pelosi is.
