John McCain faulted the Bush Administration in August of 2006 for not being honest with the American people in their rhetoric leading up to the War in Iraq, but who else led the American people to think that the occupation of Iraq would "be some kind of day at the beach?"

That's some straight talk there, boyo. Hard to believe he's so popular with anti-war independents.

By the way, in the ongoing drama over the Washington state Republican caucus, it appears that the WSRP chair Luke Esser has a very cozy relationship with McCain's state campaign chair. I'm just sayin'....
