"Remember when the GOP used to be the party that preached responsibility and accountability?"

More importantly, what's the Democratic Party's stand on responsibility and accountability? Because from where I'm sitting, their stance looks no different than the GOP's.

We've gone nearly eight years. I understand that, because of the numbers, an impeachment attempt would fail, but they aren't even TRYING...

They can TALK all they want about accountability, but their actions, or lack thereof betrays them.

This morning's theme. "Watching people solve the wrong problem."

I'm tired of the medias focus on the Democrats. You would think only Hillary and Obama are running. Thank god for C-span. I can't stand listening to Buchanan, Joe and Matthews spew out their expertise when they don't know shit. Since when have these guys lived in my world? Are they middle class? Do they have to worry about their bills. Not a credible working stiff among them. What a bunch of rich fools!

Whats going to be the replacement for our empire of happy motoring leisure?

I get the feeling we are going to have to get used to paying $5 a gal for regular by the end of this decade.

Call me crazy, but I have a theory on that:

The first six or so months of the Bush Admin (2001), they wire tapped everyone on Capitol Hill. They now know every skeleton in every closet in DC. Now they can black-mail everyone into voting their way, and to go along with whatever they want.

And don't even think about impeachment.

.....but, I could be wrong............

L.A., Do you remember when Jim Cramer stated we could be paying as much as $10 for a gallon in FIVE years. I never thought driving would be a luxuary instead of a necessity, but here we are! Another reason to hate Bush and the 109h congress who did squat for the average American.

I've often thought the same. Here is the real problem. Many of the people who are carrying out the spying are just employees of the telecoms and don't even realize they are doing anything wrong. Others are in fear of losing their jobs. We know that there is no one, (management or DOJ official) telling them that what they are doing is illegal.

Is Obama A Republican Plant?

Is David Sirota a Republican Plant? Is Matt Taibi? What about the countless other people who noticed that Bill Clinton's 'triangulation' strategy more often than not meant abandoning liberal and progressive policies in favor of appeasing right-wingers and hawks? To call into question the alleged "good old days" of Bill Clinton isn't a betrayal, it's realism. Not to mention the fact that blind party loyalty isn't supposed to be what this country is about.

My take on why Obama should appreciate where he is at, and I think he does. Please it's
just speculation, but so is Mainstream Media...

Republicans or Democrats, the candidates maybe picked in the background for several fundemental reasons, especially in corruption filled situations like this. In either case there are no rules, LOL, even though when one looks up Democratic or Republican rules for the primary both have to at least conform to local state guidelines. LOL, In some cases all this can be very vague to absolutely confusing and likely government election is controlled by the party in control of the state. Here the Republican’s are controlled by Bush, hence McCain is their man so far. Huckabee will need a miracle to get the nomination, however, we all know, Bush studied about miracles too, though, those were the kinds that came from hell. LOL.

The expression, vote early and often is routine when there is an open, semi open, or semi close rule in effect. And if the party that controls the state can change rules, maybe make them up while in motion, at last minute time to throw off the opponent, they do. As exampled in the first election in Iowa, metrically and logically should have given Hillary the win in Iowa. Why it didn’t; Republicans after voting in their caucus can just hold over as many bodies as they wish to convince to vote Obama so Hillary will loose. All new instant independents, perfectly legal. Republicans can walk into a different room raise their hand declare themselves independents and vote again, or as often as allowed, many times votes are cancelled for, or leveraged reasons to win, and done again. In this case pound the shit out of Hillary.

You all better face it the Republicans along with the media are complicit to and an integral part of this Primary stuff. All managed to help sway the voter.

Similarly, as that done in Florida in 2000 were Bush was only hundreds of vote differential, now known to be totally fixed, ironically decided by the Supreme Court, which was given the choice by Jeb Bush. O.K. Whats in your pocket. LOL
You with me ? Read on.

Either side is already calculating the margins, even those independents, will not be independents later. These are locked in primary votes from the regulars out of non profit, think tanks, and Institutional operatives. Likely the same ones who bombard the talk radio shows all morning as you drive to work.

Just as the Republican party has drawn to a conclusion on its front runner being McCain, the same should have happened to the Democrats. Its not, it’s too close basically because the Republicans along with Sean Hannity are probably in every rally for Obama. LOL.

Now the serious part, which Hillary talks about as being tested, were Obama is not. Well likely our good old friend like Patrick Fitzgerald, would spring into action to run Obama the new President through the Indictment ringer, digging in Rezko and all kinds of kinky stuff celebrating Obama’s successful election to a long drawn out hazing. Using all the Illinois rules to string out a Democratic sandal as long and as bad as former governor Ryan. Who is sitting in the slammer watching all this. Obama, never to be indicted, but just investigated to hell. because the risk of Hillary to be President would likely drive one of those high stakes though the heart of the Republican Party, all which would make America better off.

"What harm could come from hooking up a few extra cables here and there, right?"

"I'm only doing what I'm being told to do."

Ignorance of the law, and following an illegal order is no excuse.

Re: Corruption in a U.S. Attorney’s Office

If Mukassey behaved as a judge in the same way he is as an AG, it is difficult to conclude that during his "illustrious legal career" he was anything other than a corrupt and partisan judge.

Excellent article:
Harvey Wasserman: There’s Nothing Mainstream About the Corporate Media

We all call it the "Mainstream Media" (MSM) - but we should stop!

It's the CORPORATE MEDIA and there isn't anything "mainstream" about it.

I'm changing my vocabulary!
