The link to the poobah takes me to a blank page. Do I get a free ice cream cone? (that question is to one of the site monitors, they'll know what it means.)

If the business class can shoot to kill during martial law, they should first target themselves for making as much as 800 times what their workers make.

Martial Dillon...oh Martial Dillon...

The issue of super-delegates is not going away. Unfortunately though it is a part of our political process. We'll see how much that needs to change after this next Democratic National Convention.

Hey... you too can be a member of InfraGard! Of course, they'll have to do a standard security clearance background check on you, if you already don't have one. That will take at least six months tho. :-/

Hell Verizon and the rest can't even get my cell phone minutes right, why would we trust them to get the correct phone logs cited to the right account?

Talk about a clusterfuck.

Hmmm ... Question 1 and 2 on the Infragard security background check-

"Do you think Bush is doing a good job?"
"Have you ever voted for a Democrat?"

Yeah, quite a bit different than the security clearance I had to go through ten years ago. ;)

Guardian UK - BAE: secret papers reveal threats from Saudi prince

Spectre of 'another 7/7' led Tony Blair to block bribes inquiry, high court told

Saudi Arabia's rulers threatened to make it easier for terrorists to attack London unless corruption investigations into their arms deals were halted, according to court documents revealed yesterday.

Previously secret files describe how investigators were told they faced "another 7/7" and the loss of "British lives on British streets" if they pressed on with their inquiries and the Saudis carried out their threat to cut off intelligence.

Prince Bandar, the head of the Saudi national security council, and son of the crown prince, was alleged in court to be the man behind the threats to hold back information about suicide bombers and terrorists. He faces accusations that he himself took more than £1bn in secret payments from the arms company BAE.

He was accused in yesterday's high court hearings of flying to London in December 2006 and uttering threats which made the prime minister, Tony Blair, force an end to the Serious Fraud Office investigation into bribery allegations involving Bandar and his family.

The threats halted the fraud inquiry, but triggered an international outcry, with allegations that Britain had broken international anti-bribery treaties.

Lord Justice Moses, hearing the civil case with Mr Justice Sullivan, said the government appeared to have "rolled over" after the threats. He said one possible view was that it was "just as if a gun had been held to the head" of the government.

Good work. Another small step towards exposing and putting an end to so many bad paths currently being followed.

Rome fell. Egypt fell. The British Empire fell.....um....ever thought about moving? I know a really nice little spot. Oh the taxes are a little high, but it has a pretty decent healthcare system, and doesn't really have a lot of natural enemies. Would it not be ironic if US citizens started doing the border running like Mexicans?
