Bush slinked in and out of Iraq for a quick unannounced photo-op and some handshakes on a heavily guarded American airbase. They never turned off Air Force One's engines... just in case the Iraqi people found out that the author of their misery was in the country. Now that he's murdered Saddam and his two sons, Bush's main nemesis in his world of power politics is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And he's in the midst of a much heralded, high profile visit to the country that it's self-declared "liberator" and "rebuilder" and "protector" is scared to death of.
Meanwhile Iran and Iraq are celebrating a new chapter in brotherly relations in Baghdad today while Bush skulks around his pig farm in Crawford, Texas muttering darkly about Iranian nukes and terror exportation. Read on...
I remember the day Bush landed in Anbar Province last September as if it were yesterday. The president had to sneak in and out of the country for his photo op, while Ahmadinejad gets a rock star reception in Iraq that Bush has to travel to Africa to experience.

It makes sense Ahmadinejad would get better treatment than Bush. The Iranians never killed as many Iraqis as the Americans have. If anything, it's the lesser of two evils but having a guy who talks peace as opposed to a nut in America who can't do anything other than threaten war, I don't even think there are two evils to be compared.

Iran is a respected trading partner with the UAE Saudi Arabia Packistan Egypt Turkey, China, Japan and most other countries not affiliated with US policy. It's sad that Ahmadinejad wrote a letter to bush asking for peace and negotiations. Saddam also asked to debate bush over world cable. Both responses brought no response except for Saddam when bush said preposterous. Imagine how the rest of the world views us with a mad leader interested in increasing wealth for the fabulously rich over the bodies of all percieved threats? If it's true that bush bought a 80,000 acre ranch in Paraguay, close to daddy's 70,000 acre ranch, it's because they have no extradition agreements. It's also why nazis fled there in 1945.

I am not sure about that. But it is definitely possibly correct, depending on whose body count you believe. If you believe the Pentagon numbers then Iraq lost more in the Iran/Iraq war. If you believe Johns Hopkins' School of Health and the Lancet (the British equivalent of the Journal of the American Medical Association then the US has most definitely killed more than Iran did in the Iran/Iraq War. Which one do I believe? The Pentagon would never lie! The first casualty of war is the truth. The fact that there is any question is in and of itself tragic for Iraq and for the United States' standing in the world as a Beacon of Hope.

BushCo accomplished exactly what they set out to do by invading Iraq...a failed state.
Yes, this definitely played into the hands of the Iranians, and fulfilled the Iranian dream of revenge against Saddam Hussein and Iraq for the eight years of war in the 1980s, while also giving the Iranians sweet revenge against the United States for Reagan's support of the Iraqis back then (by bogging our military down in Iraq and costing U.S. taxpayers trillions of dollars), but let us not forget Saudi Arabia.
The three major (oil) powers in that region were Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia before March 2003. BushCo included Iraq and Iran in its Axis of Eviil designation. Meaning, nothing would make Saudi Arabia happier than to see two of its major competitors in the Persian Gulf become "failed states."
One down, Iran to go.
Remember, BushCo has worked hard to hide any Saudi Arabian culpability in the 9/11 attacks, even though we know that 15 of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi Arabian, implementing a plan by Osama bin Laden, a Saudi Arabian. And there definitely was some Saudi Arabian financing of the hijackers that happened.
George W. Bush and the Bush family are dear friends of the Saudi royals.
When you combine how vigorously BushCo tried to deflect blame for the 9/11 attacks from the Saudis, with BushCo's launching a preemptive, unprovoked attack against Iraq, Saudi Arabia's neighboring enemy, then one can only conclude that BushCo is in Saudi Arabia's back pocket.
And Saudi Arabia wanted nothing more than to see Iraq become a "failed state." Which makes me wonder if the Saudis (and their collaborators in BushCo) want to see Iran in the same condition?
Note: this would also explain BushCo's not planning for the aftermath of any invasion of Iraq. Why would they need to...if the goal was always to make Iraq a "failed state"?
