so News Director Pat Allen is just another coward - too scared to take on Republican crimes...so...doesn't...in American law...make him an accessory? if you have knowledge of a crime to be comitted and do nothing to prevent it...aren't you just as guilty as the people comitting the crime?

Oh, Heather is a big noise in the radio and tv world. She was instrumental in grilling CBS over their "nasty" super bowl halftime show with janet jackson's wardrobe malfunction. She is such a c*nt. All Howard Stern fans will remember her famous speech haranguing the CBS execs that started with the infamous words, "...You KNEW..." She is so deep into ClearChannel's pockets it isn't funny. KKOB is at it again! I know this station well-having lived here in ABQ, NM for all of my 42 years. They have a very long history of being the voice of the angry white republican in our state. They've had numerous controversies about talk show hosts ridiculing Hispanic callers' accents when they have called in to local shows. Some of the hosts yell at people who don't agree with them, or hang up on people, and of course they have great love for their stable of right-wing talkers who include Rush, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, a hard right local guy, and another local guy who is mostly moderate Republican, but can veer ever so rightward with the drop of a hat. They're a real class act, that KKOB!
So...no-this news doesn't suprise me at all.

I only had to look at those two golden retrievers to know that Laura is on the side of the angels. You can not live with two dogs like those and not be a forthright honest agent. It is the stations loss. Hopefully, she will land in superior territory where she can continue good work.

i've heard KKOB in WYO at night- it's an important cog in keeping western red states red- like KOA in Denver. we wouldn't be in this bush disaster if it wasn't for the uncontested repetition enabled when reagan killed the Fairness Doctrine- we need another.

progressives need to recognize before another election makes it too late that their local talk radio megastation may be the best place to wave signs about anything bush or iraq. and it is the place spewing out the lies distortions hate racism and sexism that will be repeated over and over to swiftboat whoever the dem candidate is.

maybe one of the best ways to support the Dem candidate is to call the local sponsors of the crap they fill the NM skies with. and how many republican voted for hillary in texas and ohio now that they didnt have to worry about their own primary, thanks to limbaugh?

it is the center of GOP power in NM and crucial to selling NM on Bush, Iraq, and the rest of the republican crap. one local blowhard reading GOP and chamber of commerce talking points can undo the work of thousands of citizens (the special interests) donating a few bucks or hours here and there for a candidate or progressive cause. the push by local blowhards to push wilson etc and deflecting from GOP election theft by blaming 'illegal aliens' etc. played a large part in mobilizing dittoheads to indirectly pressure iglesias and start the whole attorneygate (maybe we can thank them for that).

this story is going away very fast and it's incumbent for C and L to keep it alive. This is a lady who has done what many of us have been shouting about. news anchors across the country should take heed. had they all had the courage to quit as opposed to perpetuating the lies the bush crime syndicate would not have gained the control that they enjoy even today. but hell, news anchors, you know who you are and you have some comfort in knowing that you are in the majority, you have your positions, your wealth, your status. but the position is built on cowering to the right wing. hardly a journalistic stand. Kudos again to laura maccallum. C and L needs to keep this one alive and running unless, of course, C and L has joined the group that is more concerned with number of daily"hits" as opposed to doing what's right.

kkob manager pat frisch is the main guy-- actually gets on a PBS station local political roundtable ---- these guys say they have the pulse of the state but frisch says he can tell after the first few words whether an email or phone message is critical and won't listen to it.
