After McCain won Ohio and Texas---Tweety said this a few minutes ago:
Matthews: If you look at the box this year it came in, which is marked "change." It is ironic that the man who represents the least change is in the solidest position to be the next president right now.
He based this on McCain running to the left of his base. Are you surprised? And Coulter is still screaming about McHagee. She obviously missed the memo...

See that caveat at the end, "right now." I'm pretty sure thats a reference to the fact that the Dems are still, unfortunately, slugging it out. That position is going to be a lot weaker once on of the Dems is out.
People keep underestimating him but it's starting to feel a lot like 1988. We still have

Matthews is just speaking the truth. As painful as it is for me to say this, John McCain will probably be our next president. This demolition derby taking place in the Democratic party is ruining what should have been a very good chance to recapture the White House. Whoever wins the Democratic nomination will have to put the party back together and face the fact that significant numbers of people who supported the other candidate will think they were cheated. It's a prescription for disaster. In order for the Dems to have any chance in the fall, we need to pray the economy takes a real dump and goes so far into recession McCain will be unelectable. Here's something that could be asked in the exit polls that would be most insightful=
"If your candidate fails to get the nomination, will you support the Party's nominee or the Republican?"
I suspect the overwhelming response would be the former. The reason we have records #'s turning out in every primary/caucus is because people want the Republicans out. They're analyzing the crap out of the exit voter and making all kinds of stupid conclusions based on demographics...why not ask the one question that will tell us what we want to know? Will the people showing up in record numbers for these primaries support the Democrats in November?

PTSD is a terrible illness. It is recommended to keep the stressors down to defuse the confusion, flashbacks, mood disorder, and overwhelming over reactions that can reintroduce the traumas that one has experienced. What does John McCain do for his PTSD? He runs for president. Have a nice lunch with a guy who invaded the wrong country, that will keep anyone's stress down.
Did I see the total votes in Texas? Clinton and Obama each received twice as many votes as John McCain. What if they (Clinton and Obama) run on the same ticket? McCain may get beat worse than Goldwater in 1964. What is Chris Matthews thinking? Man crushes must melt the brain.

The elections are rigged, whether by the media talking heads constantly interjecting their God forsaken opinions, or by out right theft, the kind committed by Republicans in both 2000 and 2004. According to Greg Palast, they've already stolen the 08 election by dumping millions of Democratic voters from the rolls. This is the little "project" that the Bush DOJ has been working on for the past 7 years. It helped immensely in both Florida and Ohio. The stealing of American elections is the big story that MSM refuses to talk about. The election process has become a total joke in this country. We've been sold out to corporate America, the wealthy, and politically connected. Election 08 will likely result in the last nails being hammered into the coffin of this thing we used to call American democracy. If another Rethug wins the presidency, the America we once knew is finished.

If anyone just looks at the turnout in the primaries it seems that either democratic candidate crushes McCain in an open election. Unless, that is, the overwhelming numbers were republicans who knew mccain was a shoein crossing over to vote for hillary or obama. If it is not the case, then Rethugs are in for a rude awakening in November.

Here's the thing. Clinton has shown the ability to take cheap shots. "McCain and I have expereince--all he has is a speech" (not literal quote). Attacks like that hurt. McCain will have the whole media, executive branch and Clinton campaign tearing down Obama until the convention, leaving very little time for a unified message before the general election. Ohio showed that he can be bloodied, and he punched back too little too late. That's not a problem that the Clintons have.
That's why some people think that this mess helps McCain.

There is no significant difference between McCain, Clinton and Obama. All three of them support the WTO & GATT. All the talk about NAFTA is just a smoke screen to camouflage the real economic holocaust. The major reason American jobs are being shipped overseas is because our politicians agreed to screw the American working man by ratifying the General Agreements on Tariffs & Trade.
Chris Matthews is great. Ive never seen a man internally piss in his own mouth on cue like that. Check his face out whenever he needs to speak about a democrat. His must be rerouting his own piss up his esophagus to make a face like that.
