The question of what should be done with these war criminals is #1 we start talking about it and asking questions. I would like this question posed to both of our Democratic candidates and demand a real answer - not spin and avoidance. We hear a lot about change but change will not come without healing and our nation will not heal until those responsible for destroying so much of it are held responsible. We didn't heal after nixon because there was no accountability and we didn't heal after Reagan/Bush because there was no accountablity for their crimes (Iran/Contra). We are a nation of laws and those laws should not be reserved only for the unwashed masses.

Good point. Are there any more televised debates coming up where the questions can be asked? Would the candidates respond to the questions being posed in a newspaper, or would the media not print it?

Some in congress are trying to get the ball rolling on these crimes. The candidates are not the the ones to push the congress. They have no control of congress. They are senators and have only a very slim majority and won't be able to accomplish anything.

I understand what you are saying. I believe that we will have an expanded majority in both the House & Senate in 09 and a President can certainly encourage them in their endeavor to hold these people accountable. What the republicans have done is throw up roadblocks to any accountability and we can and should point out how we will govern differently. I believe that candidates can and should speak to these issues.
