Gridiron Dinner Part Two: Is anyone checking the President's meds?
By bluegal Monday Mar 10, 2008 9:28pm
I'm glad I'm not the first to ask...Digby made that suggestion when the President endorsed McCain. He really seems to have mentally checked out, my friends. Hat tip for the following clip to Paul D., who writes: "Here is a cell phone video of President Bush singing about Scooter Libby and Mike "Heckuva Job" Brown. It kind of reminds me of how he made the joke about not being able to find the weapons of mass destruction. This guy doesn't seem to take his serious failures very seriously..."

I only have one year of college, but can't tell you how insulted I am to know that our country has "hosted" this imbecile for the past 7 years. Compared to this, sex scandals look pretty darn tame.
Sickening. Consider what will soon be happening, as signaled by Fallon's resignation.
Forget the Nero analogies. GWB is Caligula.
George Bush, the winner on American Dildo.
Holy crap. What a fucking maroon.
Why isn't this asshole in jail? We're completely adrift.
Yes ur all gonna miss me,
thanks for the trillion suckers
Here's the full clip

What a fucking peice of shit. How can anybody still like this guy ?
How's this? Ahem...
For the thousands of those who died
Not a tear have I ever cried
For I'm just a monster...with no soul!
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Need anymore evidence than this Gridiron dinner that the Corporate Media is firmly in the pocket of the Republican party? Or maybe, it's the other way around.
moniker @ 3:
HA!
Shame on all of the losers that voted for this sick fuck(twice). And don't give me the "he stole the election" bullshit. Millions of people voted for this absolute sociopath(and some here on this blog) because they incredibly believed this stupid mother fucker could "protect" their ignorant asses from the Muslims. What a fucking nightmare.
Hey! The guy is not laughing at Iraq...he's laughing at himself and his failures. In most people you'd say that was healthy.
I hate Lord Pissypants as much as the next guy...but, this is not bad...its normal, I might even say "human".
This is as bad as the time he joked around at another journalist dinner, saying "Nope, no wmd here. Not under here either" with photos of him looking under desks. And again, the reporters laugh. WTF is wrong with all these people?
I have someone posts a clip of Matthew's comment on this. He was pretty POed at Bush.

Bushy displays his anti-social characteristics yet again. This man-child is emotionally stuck in his teen years. Can't wait until the boy-king is thrown off the throne in January.

No surprise Bush would sing about Scooter, since the commutation of his sentence was really an iPardon.
i liked what matthews had to say about this

I bet you won't find many parents, wives, and children of the dead singing. This man is a shame to mankind. He's arrogant, ignorant, and in total bliss when he is causing some form of mayhem around the world.
Wow. If I was American, I would be beyond speechless letting THAT represent me to the world for the past 7 years. Words could not express it properly. Oh ya. How could you? How could so many Americans vote for that?
No I'm not going to miss him.
dr. dave @ 12:
Dave,
I hope you have not misdiagnosed other sociopaths if you are indeed a real doctor.
Kerry could have won the 2004 election in a walk if he had just shown - over and over again - the
revolting video of Bush pretending to look for WMD at that dinner. With the press giggling, yet.
He could have shown it, then shown footage of what is really happening in Iraq to our soldiers, thanks to Bush's rampage.
But he didn't.
Everyone likes to kick around Ralph Nader - but without the democrats, led by folks like Tom Daschle,
there would have been no war.
Kerry was afraid to take on Bush.
The democrats lost again.
Today, all we have is a mud fight between Odumber and Dimmer.
Bush is still free to have a good time.
And we're supposed to feel that Obama would end the war quicker than McCain?
Hah! If Obama made a move, the "cut and run" brigades would roar at him and he would cave as he always does. If McCain made a move, the dems would fall in line and the repubs would cheer about having won the war. It would be like Nixon going to China. The SOB that started the trouble could end it and everyone would go, "you go girl".
Democrats suck.
Republicans suck.
We all need a life.
AlainMorbray2 @ 24:
Dems afraid or accomplices?
Failures? this lunatic doesn't even know he has had any failures. He got gas prices to over $4 a gallon: Success. He got us into a war that we can not win or get out of: Success. He has robbed our treasury: Success. He has given his tax breaks to the upper one percent, leaving all other Americans to fend for themselves: Success.
When your whole plan is to bring America down, then you can't really say the collapse of America is a failure.
wow
wow
wow
America just sucks sometimes. BUsh should have been locked up after joking about not finding WMD. He pulled that shit at one of the dinners, also. (Pretending to look for WMD under his office rug).
Bush makes Kim Jong Ill look normal.
Dave @ 19:
Chris Matthews is either the crazy uncle you hope doesn't make an apearance at the family dinner, or he's like the proverbial broken clock- still right twice a day.
The second part of that video was him singing about f***ing Matt Damon.
wow, CrooksAndLiars sure dissed the person who captured this video first and sent it to him.
"Hat tip for the following clip to Paul D., who writes: “Here is a cell phone video of President Bush singing about Scooter Libby and Mike “Heckuva Job” Brown"
Why not a hat tip to the person who recorded it and sent it to you? Even the Huffington Post shows this video, yet it is one copied from the original person, proven by the "I'd Rather Die on My Feet" ending.
CrooksAndLiars and HuffingtonPost copy clips from an older post. The original recorder submitted it two days earlier.
I wonder why you guys hate him so much....you have posted his clips before.
He just told us all to kiss his ass he's going to get away free and clear. The man is a traitor to this nation after exposing an undercover CIA agent for political cover and then laughing about his bag man getting off ... because he pardoned him. He is guilty of High Crimes and Misdemeanors, by the dozen, but most importantly he has disgraced our nation by making us all complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity. He's not cute. He's not funny. At all.
Makes me sick. And they gave him a standing O'.
His performance drew a standing ovation from the crowd which included Supreme Court justices, legislators, big-name reporters and others.

Adriana Torres Flores the woman left to starve in a county cell for four days with no water food or heat was a RIAA prisoner who had refused a RIAA plea bargain.

janefromhell @ 23:
Dear Janefromhell,
I only advance the view that this is not something I feel outraged over as some voice here. I get the feeling no matter
what Booosh does, some here will find it sickening. I don't think its useful to have a knee jerk reaction of loathing.
This seems to me (as I said) crude and tasteless and crass, but also somehow human. The guy is making fun of
himself. How is that 'sociopathic'? Sorry. Just don't get that.
ConcernedHusseinCanuck @ 25:
You're right.
Accomplices.
I spent my days clearing brush
I clear my head of all the fuss
But the fuss you made over harriet and brownie
Down the lane I look and here comes Scooter
Finally free of the prosecutor
Chorus
And then I wait and look around me
At the oval walls that surround me
I realize I was only dreaming
For there's Condi and Dick, my old compadre,
Talking to me about some oil rich Saudi,
But soon I'll touch the brown brown grass of home."
Chorus
That old White house is behind me,
I am once again carefree,
Don't have to worry 'bout a crisis in Pyongyang.
Down the lane I look, Dick Cheney is strolling
With documents he'd been withholding,
It's good to touch the brown brown grass of home."
Gee, I wonder why? He lives in a bubble and the only ones who can break it were the GOP rubber-stamping sycophants and now the impotent Democrats who can talk trash (occasionally) but can't lay a glove on him.
#19
I agree, but this was one of Matthews' few moments where he regresses back to his progressive years and actually makes sensible statements. Unfortunately, he's morphed into a schizophrenic clown with a non-sexual hard-on for anything named Clinton. He needs a vacation.
is it the drugs?
or the drinking?
you decide.
four more years?
The bushfucker takes nothing seriously except your rights, your liberties and your money. And, not necessarily in that order.
At least he confirmed that Cheney is withholding documents.
dr. dave @ 35:
I don't see him making fun of himself. I see him making fun of us for "making a fuss" over his failed decisions, bad appointments and references to illegal activities. He's a sociopath because he has no empathy for other humans. If he had empathy how would the "fuss" over heckofajob brownie be something to jest about? That guy caused so much damage through his ineptitude.
Sorry, not funny, not human. Just pathetic.
dr. dave @ 35:
I admit it.
To me, everything that Bush does is sickening.
If I saw him walking, I would find it sickening.
If he was eating a hamburger, I would find it to be repulsive.
As to why Bush qualifies as a sociopath, you can check this link which profiles the sociopath.
Some of the criteria: glibness and superficial charm; pathological lying; lack of remorse; shallow emotions; callousness/lack of empathy.... Should I go on?
http://www.hss.caltech.edu/~mcafee/Bin/sb.html
Imagine coming into the Oval Office in 09 knowing that there are no capital reserves left, the nation is $20 trillion in debt, $53 trillion in worthless IOU's, all of the capital marketplaces are teetering, and the nation is bleeding red ink at the rate of $1.43 billion per day.
L.A. Confidential @ 6:
Treason, illegal war...
Oh hell, here is a partial list.
And this FUCKER finds humor in all of it!
dr. dave @ 35:
The reality is, Bush is not making fun of himself here, he's engaging in triumphalism by minimalizing his failures, the suffering of others caused by them and reveling in his trampling of the rule of law, the Constitution and democracy. You must be deliberately obtuse not to see it. It's not like he wrote this stuff himself or came up with the act anyway. It's the product of hired public relations specialists and writers designed to soften his image while poking those who disagree with his actions in the eye.
Snowball @ 46:
He is in fact arogantly extolling his achievements in breaking the law and getting away with it.
"Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories" - President George W. Bush at the United Nations - November 10, 2001
Good audience members.
MSNBC is showing this as a "feel good" story.
Forget about it, folks.
We are in deep, very very deep,
I was so disgusted when I saw that video earlier today on Olberman!!
If a person says, after the event, that they had thoughts of a bad thing happening to that room, would that put them in any jeopardy?
L.A. Confidential @ 44:
I just hope they remember FDR. DoOd had some serious problems, we just got 'em again. The solution is the same.
I'd say boosh just spit in the nations face.and laughed about it.
mudshark hussein @ 53:
That is an awfully nice way of refering to a dismembermaent.
As Jeeves would have said, this is a case of understanding the psychology of the individual. At no time in his entire life has George W Bush ever been called upon to answer for his failures. Someone has always bailed him out. Consequences are always a price someone else has to pay. That's why he can laugh about WMD's ,Iraq or any other subject. I doubt that he ever shed a tear in his life for anyone or anything. The blame for this lies squarely with his parents. He just wasn't raised right.
Dave @ 14:
I want to second this....tweety had a few redeeming moments on Hardball today and his disgust at the quislings that laughed at/with bush was palpable
xoites Hussein defends Constitution @ 54:
it wasn't too much ,was it?
just kidding.
I'm not in the mood for this,I saw it (partially) and that was enough .
well, all he's doing now is solidifying the Dem base. And it couldn't happen at a better time.
mudshark hussein @ 57:
The whole clip has him singing about the documents Cheney is still hiding.
what's his approval rating now? 23% or 28%
"...This guy doesn’t seem to take his serious failures very seriously…”
Well of course. He'd needed to have some successes in order to be able to even recognize the failures. To him its just normal life.
News anchors must have been handed a memo that said, "A really embarrassing clip is on the net exposing Bush as the arogant megalomaniac that he is. We need a lot of lipstick on this pig so show the clip and yuck it up without being too obvious."
xoites Hussein defends Constitution @ 61:
Oh, and P.S. it shows a lot of reporters laughing hysterically at all the jokes, so this is tip priority CYA.....

That was a threat to the audience methinks, sort of you can cry for help but nobody will believe you.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Dumbya thinks he can sing, too.

I'm the first to say it one thiis thread: IMPEACH!!!
Ugh..what an asshole.
Singing about heck of a job Brownie with those poor folks still trapped in those shitty trailers.I'm sick of News Anchors playing along as well:warmly chuckling about Dear Leaders idiot antics.Impeach the M.F.
Oh, come on. Is this really so surprising anymore? Bush is an arrogant bastard who always figures out a way to steal his perks and priviledges, and then gloats about it. We've all known a few, but Bush really is the uber bastard of his generation.
Bush dances while America suffers!!
I don't know who's worse, bush, or the laughing fuckers in the audience.
Notwithstanding the fact that it was perfectly in-character for * to do this, and therefore no surprise to me, the rage it's harking up inside me threatens to turn my bones to powder.
dr. dave @ 35:
Yeah everybody, let's listen to "Dr Dave". Man, that George Bush - what a card, huh?? Hey, ya remember that time he had the U.S invade Iraq because of the WMD's that weren't even there?? Yeah, what a riot that was! Oh yeah, so a few hundred thousand innocent Iraqis got butchered. Hey, they were just fuckin' AY-Rabs anyway. And after his lies were pointed out, the American people elected him AGAIN! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, that's fuckin' hilarious Dr. Dave. Oh hey! How about that time that hurrican hit New Orleans! Boy, I almost pissed my pants at that one - Georgie pretty much let half the city get wiped out (at least the part where all the darkies live, anyway). But here's the real knee slapper - remember when he had all those black folk crammed into the Superdome? Had Brownie go down there and promise all kinds of help - then didn't send shit!!! HAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, that George - what a kidder! How about Gitmo? Half those sorry assed motherfuckers don't even know how they got there - HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! And Abu Ghraib - tell me Dr Dave, weren't those pictures the funniest shit you ever saw - and Geogie comes on teevee and says we don't do that torture shit!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a joker! Yeah, I'm so glad Georgie can find it in himself to joke about single-handedly murdering at least a million people. Me? I think I would be just a little down in the dumps about that but then, I don't share the mischievous sense of humor that you, George Bush, and his accomplices in the corporate owned media do. I guess I'm just a gloomy gus. But here's something that would have me howling with laughter: the sight of George, Condi, Colin, Cheney, Kristol, (and at least half the cretins present at the Gridiron Dinner) swinging from the end of a rope. Yeah, that would be a pisser!
Why did CrooksAndLiars diss the person who snuck in and made this video, and give credit to someone else?
Why does CrooksAndLiars not allow ANY dissenting opinion in the comments?
so the country is worried about spitzer fucking some call girls
and no one is concerned about the chimp fucking the whole country
then laffing about it
and what the fuck is wrong with our press????
fuck them too
Oh God! Please make it end.
What an amoral bastard. Unbelievable.

don't forget Katrina.I'm sure he gets a kick out of that too.
I saved the Time Mag's from Katrina..........(shaking my head)
Un-fucking-believable!
Our national disgrace making a fool of us all before the world............I hang my head in shame.
this just proves that he's drunk with power.Yep,him and his cronies are Dick Taters
well, I for one think it's highly appropriate for Bush to sing this song, because the original "Green Green Grass of Home" was about a guy on death row dreaming he's going back home. When he awakes, he sees the PRISON walls around him , and the guard escorts him to the execution chamber.
Then I awake and look around me, at four grey walls surround me
and I realize that I was only dreaming.
For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre -
arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak.
Again I touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree
as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home.
And if he's looking around him in prison and seeing Condi and Dick, so much the better.
Funny thing is, who the fuck on his staff thought it would be funny for him to sing a song based on a condemned man? If I didn't think they were just too fucking clueless and incapable of self-assessment, I'd suspect a mole within the Event Planning department.
Does anyone have video of President Bush endorsing McCain? It appears he hangs back afterwards to check out Cindy's butt!
at least Nixon and Agnew didn't get up and do a song and dance.I'll give them a point for keeping low key.
And Reagan (bush1) turned out to have a medical reason, but that doesn't excuse bush 1 for all the BS they pulled off.and even he didn't do a song and dance.(he just puked on the Prime Minister of Japans lap)
g @ 82:
Maybe it was Laura. Remember last Easter when she read "Duck For President" to the kiddies. I'd say she's definitely got some passive-agressive thing going on.
Yeah, "dr. dave" 's claim that "I get the feeling no matter
what Booosh does, some here will find it sickening. I don’t think its useful to have a knee jerk reaction of loathing." is a typically disingenuous Republicanite accusation.
The whole idea of "Bush Derangement Syndrome" is so very telling: it is simultaneously a mocking of legitimate outrage and bemusement, a stereotyping and marginalization of a whole subset of the population, and a flippant and arrogant insistence that Bush has done nothing worthy of anger or dismay.
This is why I drink: so that, if some right-wing turd ever talks to me like this in a bar, I will have the opportunity to teach them the difference between cartoon progressives and REAL progressives!
Well, he's finally letting that idiot frat boy side of himself shine thru.
Way to go big guy! Here, take another swig.
g @ 82:
Yes there does seem to be somebody or many on the inside doing things to make the 'Decider' look stupid,
from the Saudi pictures of him carrying the King's sword and bedecked with jewels, to the African throne pic, to various domestic incidents.
Payback time for some disgruntled downtrodden staffers I suppose.
How to feel warm and fuzzy about the crimes of the century (thus far, as we know them).
Pathetic.
Even for Bush, that was bizarre. How beyond the bounds of rational society. And yes, those that laughed with him: how enabling.
This man says over and over and over again that his (positive) place in history is assured. Even if there was something he did right, how can it balance out with all the things that went wrong in his administration? Please let this nightmare end.
Maybe GW is doing his share of drugs and drink again.
the only failure that bothers bush is
that he did not demolish the Constitution on day one
of his administration.

its time like this i wonder how dems were so afraid to impeach bush. I myself thought a cheney Presidency would be worse. it was sadly only recently that i realized the only way cheney would be President is if Bush resigned.
Does anyone really believe this douche bag would resign of impeached?
Nixon was classy by comparison. and harmed the Constitution to far lessor degree.
Dave @ 106:
Nixon didnt have the Interweb, only a compliant MSM covering up his worst excesses.
Nixon only fell when he crossed the line on targeting DC political opponents directly ie Watergate, it was one step too far in the game.
Most of the current crop of Congressional Dem critters know to step back from that line as it advances towards them.
dr. dave @ 35, I guarentee you that george bush would NEVER EVER make fun of himself or his failures. THAT is normal for sociopaths. But people thinking that it's something else, like being "human", is exactly how he got into the White House.

If the past six-odd years are any indication, George W. Bush believes himself to be absolutely incapable of failure. Why else would he insist on pursuing his preferred course of action even when nearly everyone around him advises otherwise? Why else would he show such little tolerance for anyone and everyone who dares to question or disagree with him? Why else would he continue to claim that history will vindicate him?
The madness of King George
I appreciate the comments that give Matthews a few props
for taking Bush to task...But the Manlove he has for these

I wish I could say I am flabbergasted, but I can't. They own us lock and stock. I knew that one day the arrogance of what they do would be flaunted in the face of the population that are not in the billionaire club. So many have died from our country and Iraq, that mercy for the President for what he have done is dried out to non-existence. If he come to my town and was sitting at my table and I was waiting on him, I definitely pull the old buger, dandruff, and pubic hair in his meal. That would be, at least the kindest I would do for him. I know C&L doesn't advocate violence, but I need to point out that treason of the nation penalty is the death sentence, and Al Franken has said he would hate to see it come down to this. But we have to hang him according to the rule of law for treason. It's in the constitution.
Well.....it'll never happen. But if Bush had pulled this shit back a hundred years, he would be hang! He will go down as the first president that should be hang for his crime. But he will leave the Whitehouse and be voted as the best president ever from his bubble support group, and it will be publish. Just maybe he'll even get an award for best lyrics from CMT station, and Chuck Norris will hand him the award. This farce has gone way overboard. I think the whole lot in Warshington should be scrub clean of the filth.
The joke on Harriet and the ignoring of the subpoena for Libby and Gonzo crime while the appointed AG sits on his ass accommodating the president instead of the nation. I wonder if that will make one difference at all for the public, or will it be just let them eat cake while people starve from high food prices and the unspeakable falling dollar?
I would advise the president to quit his day job, that's a heck of a fantastic voice Georgie! I see a great future in vaudeville for ya son.
Notice all the idiots who are laughing and clapping along to this moron. Laughing about Hurricane Katrina, treason etc. I'm sure that most of the a## holes in that room couldn't even tell you that we had EIGHT military casualties a few days ago in just ONE day!!! Yeah, great way to support our troops you scum bags!!!!
Wow, this is the president of the US? What a joke. The guy has gone completely nuts. The world is laughing their asses off.
Every since he got back from Africa Bush has acted like he is on top of the World. Either he found some really good 'happy' drugs there, or he knows he is just days away from bombing Iran. I can't think of anything else that would put him in such a good mood. God, I hope it's just drugs.
"He really seems to have mentally checked out..."?
That line makes it sound like his mental check-out is a recent development. Where have you been for the past 7 plus years...? Are you watching the same guy i've been watching? Please post links to video where he doesn't appear to have checked out mentally...
I know i'm beating a dead horse here, but that's what I do...
But saying "He really seems to have mentally checked out..." is like saying about a dog caught licking its own butt "Now there's something I've never seen before"
JTM @ 15:
Yep. I agree.
Nothin' to worry about, George. Good old Nancy Pelosi's got yer back.

The enabling behaviour of the press, being bought off with being included with the elite at these dinners and other get-togethers of the amoral, for an opportunity to touch the edge of the robes of the powerful is nauseating.
Those afraid to voice the country's disgust and helplessness, when they have had ample opportunity to do so owe their country and the world an apology, though no apology will make up for the misery and death that has resulted from their fear of being denied access to the inner sanctum of this totally amoral Administration, thankfully gone in Jan of '09.
But, the nightmare could continue, if you really want it to. If you vote for McCain for more of the same, you will be living out the symptoms of classic battered spouse syndrome, currying favour from the abuser. Or, you can vote for Clinton, who has never apologized for voting for and continuing to support Bush's one accomplishment, perpetual war.
Make a comment, yes.
Watch one single fucking second of that noxious human carbuncle pretending he's Sinatra, no.
Too much respect for my own ears & brain.
The rest of you have my deepest sympathy.
I already saw the moron put on his "WMD Easter-Egg-Hunt" schtick ... that was more than enough, thanks.
Is there anyone here even mildly surprised anymore by his level of depravity?
Him, Cheney & Rice need to be escorted to adjoining gurneys.
Unrepentant mass-murderers deserve no better.
I don't know what is worse, the banality of Bush's evil nature - as portrayed by this particular example of his gleeful indulgence in it, or the insipid idiocy of the empty-headed news-reader, who, as she read from the tele-prompter, tried to pass this story off as if it was a cute and amusing anectdote. A practiced, pearly-white smile that says "Isn't this just the funniest?", as a lead-in to the depiction of an act that was nothing less than a gloating, gleeful celebration of criminality and betrayal, perpetrated by the very one amongst all others who should have been the most diligent opponent of all criminality and the most staunch upholder of all trusts.
But so long as the viewer is manipulated into thinking, "Isn't that George a card?", and is manipulated into ignoring the obvious questions and conclusions, then the propaganda mission is accomplished, right? All's well that ends well.
This is an altogether new low for NBC.

OMG, it's ALL just a fucking joke to Busholini and the psychophants in the audience! I got nauseous hearing them giggle and laugh and then give the dick-tater a standing O. Who are those people at the Gridiron Dinner????

F*ck that, the least Bush can do after destroying our nation is show some freaking humility and shame! He deserves to be imprisoned for the rest of his miserable life, yet he's on stage cracking jokes about his strangling of Lady Liberty. It makes me so mad I feel nauseous.
Dr. Acula @ 138:
The best and the brightest, doncha know. Bush is a vicious, cruel person and they cheer him on.
oh come on fellow liberals, quit being so pissy and snide just stuff it and put it on a shelf.
This clip is masterful. It is hilarious. Let me explain, the grand master of comedy, Bill Hicks would often make fun of 41, George H.W. by exaggerating his warlike tendencies combined with a Mr. Roger's neighborhood voice. This is black, dark humor, black, like people are dying it's awful, people suffer, they lose their homes their wives, and there Bill Hicks makes a joke of the darkest worst nightmare, with a jolly juxtaposition.
Dark humor is the best. And give President Bush credit. He's the darkest humorist of all. Can't believe everyone here is as uptight as that feminist in the lightbulb joke.
It was funny!
dr. dave @ 35:
No, he is not making fun of himself. He's making fun of the entire fucking country who allowed him to get away with all those crimes he so gleefully sang about. He's a goddam corporate puppet, cokehead, ignorant, arrogant, alcoholic, fratboy throwing a kegger and those in attendence should relinquish their press credentials permanently! I have felt so much shame over this moron representing us to the world over the last 7 years....none more than when watching this disgusting display of arrogance and sociopathy.
If I had lost a loved one in this farce war on Iraq's oil, seeing this song and dance routine would make me lose my mind.

Read it. Fits old chimpy to the tee! Perhaps we should have every rethug prez nom analyzed before the election. That way the voters would know for whom they are REALLY voting.
Count the days - Obama08!

You. sir, are totally missing the point. Do you not remember the past 7 years?!? How can you laugh at this man after what he's done to our country? He's one of the most loathsome human beings ever to walk this dying earth, right up there with Hitler, Cheney, Stalin, etc... Yet you congratulate him for his wit and clap your hands in glee...? Sickening! No, it isn't funny, dark humor or not. There comes a point when laughter is no longer appropriate; we the American people should be taking up arms against this administration, not licking their taints. And while we have our pitchforks and torches in hand, we should go after the Mainstream Media as well.

What makes you think he ever stopped?
This place is hilarious. Some of the posters on here are further left than Marx, Engles, Lenin, Stalin, Minh, Guevara. So much doomsaying and sky-is-falling exaggeration. I may not have voted for Bush. I may not agree with all of the administration’s policies, decisions, choices, general direction, but to say things like the U.S. economy has been “destroyed” is ridiculous. To say that the Iraq war is one of the biggest mistakes in the history of American foreign policy is idiotic. To say Bush is a war criminal on the level of Hitler, Stalin — take your pick — and belongs in jail is disingenous political bias at least. Some of you people need to take a look at the logical and practical extremes of leftism run amok: Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, China, the Soviet Union. I’d rather live in the U.S. any day. But that’s not fair. Okay, then I’d rather live in Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal any day. Hell, I’d rather live in Costa Rica or Argentina any day. It’s not about political vision — neocons, libertarians, liberals, conservatives, greens, etc. It’s about competent decision making and policy making. If you’re going to attack the Bush administration, there’s certainly plenty to talk about, but approach it from the view of simple competence, and dispense with the screaming histrionic doomsaying, please. He's not a moron. He's not a criminal. You just don't agree with his policies and views. You might even say he's incompetent. But the checks and balances in place keep him from doing too much harm, even if he wanted to.
The shit-slinging Monkey President always seems to find creative ways to reach all time lows. How much more obvious can his contempt for the country he was '(s)elected' to serve, it's people, it's Constitution and of course, the Rule of Law. Yet this waste of human flesh, who gives the word 'failure' new meaning, is applauded and honored as if he were the best President to have ever occupied the Oval Office. Why is this buffoon not recognized for the evil criminal he is? The man is an abomination. By allowing this filth to continue has literally opened Pandora's box. If this idiot is allowed to complete his last term, which he probably will...it is terrifying to think of what to expect from his successor.
Our country is so screwed...welcome to the new AmeriKa

This isn't Spain or Italy or Germany or Portugal or Costa Rica, this is the United States of America, a once-shining bastion of hope and freedom and we have standards for our behavior, it's what has made us great in the past. Sadly, however, the US is being reduced to a ghost of its former self. Sure, I love my country (hate my government, but love my country) and I know we were never perfect, but our nation has degraded significantly under Bush #2's leadership. I fully understand that Hitler killed millions and millions, but Bush killed over a million in Iraq, plus 4,000 of our finest in a bogus war designed to rob the US coffers and BETRAYED HIS OWN COUNTRY...! Luis, you should rethink your position on this, you are mistaken on several points.
eric taylor @ 141:
I fail to find the humor in leading our country into the sewer and then make a joke of it. This is what made this lunatic with the position he holds, so very dangerous. As an adult I can recognize the evil that is George Bush. It's the children that one needs to worry about. What did Hitler say...'I don't care about the adults. The key is the children, and we already have them.'
