Keith Olbermann often goes after FOXNews' Bill O'Reilly, and rightfully so, but this particular segment on Monday's Countdown was among his best.
For some unknown reason, O'Reilly decided to write about the Spitzer controversy in his weekly newspaper column and as Olbermann put it, it's about the only subject BillO can truly cover from a position of expertise. The only reason Keith could come up with is that The Culture Warrior was somehow trying to explain his own disgusting behavior. Why else would he want to remind everyone about the sexual harassment suit that cost him a reported $10 million?
"For reasons known only to our friend Billy, he decided to deconstruct the Spitzer saga in the latest edition of his not-so-widely-read newspaper column. Again, when it comes to having your pockets drained and your name turned into a punchline by your pursuit of a woman, Bill O'Reilly knows his topic. Why he would write this column and remind everybody of all of this all over again? Well, maybe in trying to explain Spitzer, perhaps BillO has wound up explaining...BillO."

This guy is so pathetic I'm at a loss for words.
Why do I think the three stooges theme music should be played during this segment?
Is Billo going to rail agaist himself and call himself a secular-progressive-smear-merchant?
The most pathetic part is that so many Americans trust him to tell them what is happening in the world, and they believe him.
forth!
was fourth, now fifth!

That's three comments on what number your comment came in at. Do you have anything to say on topic?
If you are a rich white repugnantcant, the sames rules don't apply. The settlement was never disclosed, but I bet Billo was unhappy and Adrea was satisfied without having to have sex with him.
There's a huge difference between dipshit Bill O'Lielly and Spitzer ; Spitzer actually got the woman.
Billo got a lot of himself , which isn't much at all.........
Billo -- perv
Limbaugh -- perv and substance abuser
Beck -- substance abuser
Hannity -- ass
All unqualified, self-proclaimed judges of others. They should all have "Judge not, lest ye be judged" tatooed on their foreheads.
Blog Whore Warning :
Look what else BillO is responsible for...

If there is one thing most Europeans see when looking at the US, it's the double standard that permeates the country in all aspects of life. The media is no exeption.
Bill's article sounds like a kid trying to prove that he knows what "prostitution" and "pimps" are.
Man, this comment is going to get some reaction from ol' billo - that should be a declaration of open warfare - but billo will probably air another of his unsupported "they're talking nonsense" solo spin spiels. Perhaps his audience will believe him - but keep on him, Olbermann!
LOL!
Olbermann certainly had fun with this one!
And the most biting characterization of Billo? Your name turned into a punchline by your pursuit of a woman. Just say "Falafel Bill" and watch the world crack up!

No surprise. It's as bad as many Americans who listen to the radio to that female "doctor" who doesn't even have a pyschology degree. And we wonder why some they tell us we have many stupid Americans. cuz we do blanche, we do!

And it should be backwards so that they can read it every time they look in the mirror (which I would wager is a lot).
you guys don't get it, he is a distration, respond to this guy at all and he wins. he is tying you up from things that you could be doing.

O'Really and his pal, Dick Morris make my skin crawl--they are both soooo creepy. I really think they both have serious issues with women. Billo's curiosity about sexual pervs and deviants just ain't normal.
I look at the two of them and I am grossed out.
Really enough of this jerk already.
Let's focus on reality
"The enormous fake mortgage racket is bringing down some of the most important banks, lending houses and corporations in America . The crooked brokers have long since banked their loot out of the country and fled jurisdictions, leaving their knowing crime partners, the big banking houses, behind to take the growing heat. What is coming? The collapse of the national credit system, to include credit cards. Many Americans have been living on their credit cards, running up huge bills that they would deal with when they reupped their mortgages. That stopped and now their houses are maxed out and if they were able to find a buyer who could even get a loan, the house is now worth less than the mortgage so if they sold, they would still owe the banks. That’s why people are walking away from their over-extended homes, their bloated mortgages and their credit cards."
I saw this last night and nearly busted a gut.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Keith timing and facial expressions were great!
KO sure gives BO a lot of coverage.
Maybe if he ignored him he would go away.

Ha! This guy has that beat!
SYDNEY (Reuters) - A man in Australia is auctioning his life -- his house, his job, his clothes and his friends -- on eBay, after his marriage broke up, saying he wants to start a new life.
"It's time to move. A completely fresh start. I want to see where life takes me," Ian Usher, 44, told Australian television on Tuesday from Perth in Western Australia state.
Usher said he was auctioning his life as "a package" with his house in Perth valued at around A$420,000 (US$385,000).
Loofa, anyone?

I'm not sure Billo wins. NOTHING is as humiliating to someone who thinks he's a big shot being laughed at. Mocked. Made to look a fool. The entire slate at FOX needs the same treatment just for being there. Let's take 'em down!
Blue Lensmadinejad @ 25:
You'd be a accessory. He's not worth the time (in jail).
FunMe @ 17:
And a lying, hypocritical ho.
Ron @ 24:
It's not the type of coverage to be proud of.
I like making fun of arrogant people.
Conspiracy Corner:
I watch CwKO via the web because, silly me, I don't own a teevee. "Watched" the episode last evening online and this story wasn't on. Still not up at MSNBC's site.
Otherwise, fun to watch and a big thanks to Logan and Heather.
"the Frank Burns of news" - I laugh every time I hear it.
Off topic but could you post something about John McCain gaffe.
John in his senility couldn't differentiate between Sunni And Shite.

dale18 @ 35:
Neither can 90% of the American people. Do a post on them instead.
But seriously folks ... I'd never defend BO, but something should be pointed out. Spitzer committed a crime - he paid for sex as far as we can tell. BO, while he did something that subjected him to civil penalties (getting sued for harassing his employees), has not hooked up (sorry) with hookers as far as we know. Similary, my new governor David Paterson, and his wife, slept with other people during their marriage, but committed no crime. OTOH, I think what Spitzer did should not be a criminal offense. But it is, and he knew it.
"Talking on the telephone, did you say?"
lol, ah, Keith was having a blast!
Blue Lensmadinejad @ 34:
And I think of Les Nessman.

Blue Lensmadinejad @ 34:
I was thinking Less Nessman, and the news........with up to the minute commentary from the winner of a Buckeye NewsHawk award!
anneyhussein @ 39:
LMAO......you beat me to it!! That is who he reminds me of.
blogenfreude @ 37:
Looked strictly through a legal lens you are correct, but ask yourself, which is the worse offense, subjecting one of your employees to sexual harrassment, or paying for a prostitute?
BillO loses again

:-)
odanny @ 42:
Agreed, but Spitzer is/was the consummate lawyer. You can't just obey the laws you agree with. But I'll grant you that what Andrea Mackris went through is far worse than what Ashley whatsername is going through.
CheneyIsADick @ 8:
loosen your corset...we're talking about Billo....

All I can say is, " As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." WKRP in Cincinnati
It is just soooooo disgusting to imagine that any female would want to loin up with O'Reilly, omg vomit. That piece of animal manure would feel at home if he resided in a pile of animal crap. Vile person that he is.
I'm sorry, Keith Olbermann's delivery in this video is very grating for my taste. His condescension is passable only because he's taking on a "bully" figure in Bill O'Reilly who has many detractors.
But without the counterweight of Bill, i don't know if this type of presentation would have any appeal to the wider public. Am i wrong?
Hypocricy, thy name is "Billo".
Hey, leave Les alone. Sure, he was a self-important boob, but he was sincere in his pursuit of the news. He actually cared about everything he covered. He would never harass anyone nor knowingly hurt a soul. And he sure would never have sent "WKRP 'SECURITY' to ambush anyone.
Judy @ 24:
Indeed. Olbermann has long ago established that O'Reilly is a moron and a hack. Keith needs to move on. Watching a brilliant mind waste air time shooting the fish in the barrel is just tedious.
Charles Wilton @ 52:
Good point...but maybe pointing it out every time is effective...use the tactic of our enemy against them...repeating something (the facts in KO's case) over and over to get the point through, I think is necesary.
Kathy in St. louis @ 47:
I miss that show...
