Chris Matthews was invited to go on the Ellen Degeneres Show and like other guests, encouraged to dance with Ellen into their segment. Tweety was game but the producers may want to reconsider this choice unless Ellen want to be pawed and dropped by their fatally unfunky guests.

Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was disbarred today by a District of Columbia court that ruled that his convictions last year for perjury and obstructing justice in a White House leak investigation disqualify him from practicing law.

Libby's disbarment is effective as of June 12, 2007, when he first filed a declaration saying he would voluntarily comply with the court's rules on professional ethics for lawyers. Libby, 57, could seek reinstatement to the bar five years from that date, in June 2012.
Last July, a federal judge sentenced Libby to 30 months in jail. President Bush commuted the sentence, calling it "excessive."

Matthews is a publicity whore--it is ALL about him. This is a guy who admits to "googling" himself every morning. He said it on Imus one morning. I have always said that he is very, very insecure and this is exhibit A.
I've heard from friends of his that he is planning on running for Spector's seat in PA '10 when it is up. Someone else told me that he keeps referencing his roots and ties to Pennsylvania every chance he gets when he is in front of a camera. Well, if he runs, he won't be on MSNBC anymore and if he loses that race (which I am sure he will) he'll become Pennsylvania's problem.
I kind of pity him at this point. For a 62 or 63 year old man to act like he does it is really very sad.

First, I would never go on any talk show where I have to be a "Dancing Monkey" before I can talk with the host.
Second, Chris Matthews should know NEVER, NEVER, NEVER try to hand dance with a Lesbian.
This was an attack, not a dance.
#44 "tanglewood" hit the nail about Matthews's insecurity. ALSO consider his actions as an expression of anger and being uncomfortable with being out of control of his situation. He needed to take back the control, psychologically, so he used his superior physical power to stop the action and impose his dominance - under the guise of it being "just funnin' around".
There's nothing wrong with dancing by lesbians or anybody else. It takes a healthy degree of self-confidence to dance comfortably in public - and to do it comfortably on-stage, I would imagine, takes more. I wish I had that kind of confidence.
