In 2002, when their second album, The Last Broadcast was released Doves became my favorite band for at least a couple of seasons. I was disappointed when I saw them in concert because I didn't think they could pull off the incredible melodies and harmonies that the brilliant produced had pulled out of them in the studio. Turns out they were the brilliant producer themselves. "There Goes The Fear" was the band's second single, the first from The Last Broadcast, and even though it was deleted after just one day, it still entered the U.K. charts at #3. They're still largely unknown in the States. Odd.
