I'm curious if there are any documented accounts of young Iraqi children being armed or strapped with a bomb. I've heard anecdotal stories but never seen an actual news account claiming it was fact.

I had a German teacher who was Czech. He wasn't very old when the Nazis came to his town and hung his maths teacher in the schoolyard.
He spoke dialectical German and spoke it well. As a young kid, he'd dress as Hitler Youth and smuggle explosives for the underground. He was about 11 or 12 -somewhere around that age.
So yeah. I think that kids could be transporting explosives over there.

There are always witnesses--other soldiers who retrieve the bodies, those who were far enough away to not to get mortally wounded, etc. ...not one documented case? The winter soldier hearings were just last week (or was it the week before) and I don't recall hearing any stories relayed about children being armed or strapped and killing their fellow soldiers in arms. I'm still curious about any documented accounts.
You never know, that little girl could have been wearing those nipple piercings that has the TSA freaked out.

They don't know what "average" means. Global warming says the average temperature has gone up. Doesn't mean it'll be a desert everywhere. It will still be cold. It will still snow. Just when you add up and average all the temps, it's higher than it was before.
Averages don't always mean even distribution. Like the economy. Take 1000 people, 1 with $1,999,001 and 999 with $1. That's $2,000,000, 1000 people, average of $2/person. Give the one rich guy an extra $2,000,000, and you've doubled the average amount of money everyone has to $4, even though the 999 people still only have a $1. Hey, that's almost exactly how our economy works. =)

Sadly it would be very easy to hide explosives on a child. A few ounces of Semtex or Composition-4 could easily be molded into a thin layer that would have enough explosive force to kill anyone within a small radius. It's due diligence by the troops but I agree that we need to get our forces out of there. And we sure as hell don't need to land in Iran anytime soon.
And the earlier poster is right, there have yet to be any documented cases of child bombers in Iraq. That'll probably be the next story that pops up and I wouldn't be surprised that if such a story arises that it would be a lot like the infamous incubator story from the first Iraq war.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I despise what the 527s did to Kerry, on the other hand a certain part of me wants some blow back--anything to keep McShrub out of the WH. I think I want to come down on the side of letting the distant past (as opposed to the crimes committed by Shrub & Co) go. The Viet Nam war is a distant memory to most of us and no memory at all for younger voters. God knows there are enough current problems that we need to address ASAP if we are to bring this country back to what it should be. Perhaps we should deal with the present and future and let the past go, except to learn from it. That's just my take on it, although I can understand the other side of the argument, as well.
