oy... the clinton comedy tour continues...

from bill's general being to hillary's pathetic attempt to play 'gotcha' w/obama's remarks...

sad, but funny... or maybe just sadly humorous.

Re: Steve Benen....

All this time I thought the right wing bloggers were a bunch of clones.

Let's have a big ol' supper and everyone bring a different dish that they know how to cook the best and we can all share in that supper. Opps! 'potluck' sounds way too much like socialism...fergeeeet that! Sounds anti-murikan.

Hell yeah, bring all the gunslingers down here to Fla. If someone frightens you, you can shoot them. Wanna bring your gun to work, fine just leave it locked inside your car. If your employer doesn't want guns anywhere on his property, screw him because the law says your gun can be there as long as it's locked in your car. See, this way if you get pissed at your boss, you have to go outside, unlock your car, get your gun, go back inside and blow him away. So much easier that way. Saves you all that time of going home to get your gun and perhaps during that time you might realize what you were about to do would put you in prison for life.

I heard a clip this morning of Senator Clinton telling about her father taking her behind a shed and teaching her to shoot a gun. She didn't say if there were any snipers in the area or not. Maybe when her husband tells the story he might add the snipers.

"The problems in the U.S. are being transmitted to Europe." - MICHAEL BALL, professor at the University of Reading in Britain, on a global real estate slowdown.

no protest music because the musicians are not threatened. when someone threatened the dixie chicks they wrote a song. threaten soljah boy or fallout boy with a few tours in Mosul and the radio will be packed with those songs!!!

Watch!!

yeah! I wanna have a beer with her now. Make that a boilermaker.

Mike, I wish your brother and wife's book had been around when I was a little kid growing up with a world class alcoholic father. It might have helped and would have made a world of difference in my family's lives. I'm so glad the book is out there now and I sure do hope it helps a whole lot of people.

Kinda difficult to picture someone who can loan their own campaign five million dollars as just one of the middle class gals. A gal who can pack heat and chug a shot of whiskey.

I Pennsylvannia, they just struck down a measure that would require LEGAL gun owners to report missing or stolen guns! They said it interfere with gun owners rights!(???) The NRA has deep pockets.

Union Killings Peril Trade Pact With Colombia By SIMON ROMERO A surge in killings of labor union members in Colombia is emerging as an issue in the battle over a trade deal.

BOGOTÁ, Colombia — Lucy Gómez still shudders when speaking of the murder of her brother, Leonidas, a union leader and bank employee who was beaten and stabbed to death here last month. His murder was part of a recent increase in killings of union members in Colombia, with 17 already this year.

Lucy Gómez and Luis Humberto Ortiz recently discussed the killing of Ms. Gómez’s brother:

“I want those who did this to pay for their crime,” said Ms. Gómez, 37, a seamstress, clutching a faded photograph of her brother, an employee of Citigroup’s Colombian unit who was 42. “But I feel in danger myself,” she said. “This is not a country where one can express such a wish without fear of being eliminated like my brother.”

Ms. Gómez’s fear and similar dread felt by union members and their families have long been features of labor organization during this country’s four-decade civil war. More than 2,500 union members in Colombia have been killed since 1985, with fewer than 100 cases resulting in convictions, according to the National Labor School, a labor research group in Medellín.

and the clintons want a free-trade agreement with this country.

is it jealousy over obama's inspiration?

Isn't it funny when democrats repeat ridiculous Rove-ian talking points like "He doesn't wear a lapel flag, he isn't patriotic enough to be President"? Ha-Ha, er... yeah. "getalife" indeed.

here is a phun hillary-game:

whenever she holds a rally, gives a speech or spreads distortion, close you eyes. just listen to her voice. hear the accent-du jour, and try to guess what type of crowd she is speaking in front that day.

Others . . . .

"I'm very sorry that Barack Obama apologized for his remarks. It compromised his authority. They were truthful and correct. He might have added that the anxious and bitter lower classes were also neurotically hung-up on cars, and that his first act as president would be to shut down the Nascar tracks by executive order in the interest of national energy security.

It's been illuminating to see how almost nobody has come to Obama's defense in this matter -- hardly anyone in the press, anyway. It shows what the mainstream media's interest in the truth is (close to zero)."

The Benen piece is pretty funny.

As to Obama - he apologized for his word choice, not for pointing out the truth of his remarks, which he reaffirmed and many voters have validated.

Patricia, you do realize this is just one more reason why the state of Florida has become the punchline to a joke. Yeah, bring your guns to work because God knows what this country doesn't have enough of is workplace shootings.

It was the heat of the moment. That shone in your eyes.

Mike can we get Candy to do a rather major intervention on those in Washington addicted to stealing my hard earned money and using it to slaughter other innocent workers?

Man, if our presidential candidates were all in a room with knife on a nearby table and thought that plucking their own left eye from its socket would win them the Oval Office, there would be a damn fight to see who got to do it first.

They would all do it, they would just want the bragging rights on being first....

Mike, Many, many thanks to you, The Phantom Blues Band, and Joe Cocker etal. for the magnificent show you all put on Saturday night in Wichita. A life-long fan of both of you two musical geniuses, it was incredible seeing Joe for the first time, especially with you and your guys opening the set and you being a part of Joe's exceptional band. We would still like to see the band back in Lawrence this year if you can make it. All my best to you and your family, and congrats to Candy and Sean.
